  1. Also in the past 2-3 years some people have organized a board members get-together, but that is not run by the LFCC organizers, just people here on the board.
  2. Haven't decided yet. I was thinking maybe it is time to make a BSG costume since there are so many guests from the show this year. I have a badge I can sew on which I bought at a previous Con, so I just have to gather the clothes and the shoes. Only thing making me hesitate is if I have to buy army boots just for the costume, it will be too much money given for shoes I will wear only once or twice. Another option is Hogwarts student (already have a costume), but that may get too hot in the crowded building.
  3. Wow, the 3 from Dukes of Hazzard! Very cool! Thanks! Would love to get the 3 with General Lee photo shoot but it's expensive . I will have to think of this . In any case I'm not buying anything yet, just waiting to see what guests there will be and I will make my definite plan closer to the event.
  4. I have used public transport in London and walked some distance while in cosplay to get to the LFCC, and it has been mostly OK. I felt a bit weird at first but I think people in London are used to seeing people dressed weird so they mostly don't bat an eyelid. I got a couple of questions some times from people, explained I was going to a Film and Comics Convention, and that was it. If you feel too uncomfortable you could wear a cloak or coat as some people suggested, and take it off once you arrive. That sounds like a good idea.
  5. Ok then. My friends told me it was hard to find, and I didn't know anything about if/where it would be on the main site because I always check the forums myself.
  6. I think the problem is that 2 crew members told lazydazy she could get a refund, and after queueing for 1 hour she found out she couldn't. The crew members should have told her a refund wasn't likely, but she might want to give it a chance anyway. I know 2 people who were driving in from Nottingham and ended up missing a morning shoot. They were told to try for a refund, not that it was likely but they might as well try. Well when they got to the sales desk there were some other people there with a similar problem who had driven from afar, and maybe the sales desk just got tired of the complaining because they gave them the refund! They hadn't really expected to get it and I told them they were really lucky because normally they aren't allowed! My friends hadn't really seen the schedule or they would have tried to get there earlier. Basically they were looking at the main site, not at the forum, and on the main site there wasn't really any schedule posted. They said that to the sales desk people and that probably helped their case. I think it would be a good idea to have a link, on the main site, to the forum post that has the schedule and floorplan, because some people may not know they are supposed to look on the forum for these things.
  7. Alyson & Alexis were really nice, they shook people's hands at the photo shoot and commented on the dragon on my shoulder (I was cosplaying as Daenerys). Didn't get their autograph, but went to their talk and they were really nice there, too.
  8. Nice write-up. Was good talking to you, however briefly, on Saturday evening. Unfortunately I had a cold which left me really tired so I couldn't stay long on Saturday, but next year I will hopefully stay longer.
  9. I did the photo shoot and it turned out quite well. In the photo it looks like you are really inside the room.
  10. As I see there is only one Pamela photoshoot on Sunday, which means you will be in that timeslot. If there was a second timeslot, you could go to either one after your batch was called.
  11. I remember seeing it here on the forum. 5th of July was the cutoff date if I remember correctly.
  12. Why would anyone do that? If you've bought a photo you're kind of commited to going, so why not buy an entry?
  13. Regarding pdfs, there is this website https://www.convert-jpg-to-pdf.net/ where you can convert jpgs to pdfs for free. I use it.
  14. What Raylenth says. Due to the amount of people the wifi is bad and not reliable. I'm going to be using my data for messenger apps.
  15. I would suggest got to JC since it starts first and tell the crew you have a clash, so they can try and get you through quickly. For Sunday I would suggest CL first a you have the lower catch and it starts 5' earlier. Again tell the crew about the clash so they will try and get you through quickly.
  16. God, with all the extra space they have this year, there must be really loads of people for it to sell out!
  17. Man, that sucks. Really sucks. Hopefully LFCC will be better and make it all up to you!
  18. You can't buy the photo shoot at the photo shoot area, you have to go the the sales desk or buy online. It is always best to pre-purchase in case they run out of tickets, but you can always buy at the venue. Don't know how big the queues will be; in 2014 they were horrendous but they have since made it possible to buy online even during the event, so the sales desk queues have shrunk considerably.
  19. Dammit! And I had printed my Pan's Labyrinth photo for him to sign! Will have to save it for another time.
