With a basic ticket I always tend to aim for about an hour and a half before it opens, just to get a chance to get inside in good time and scope out the venue inside. As its Olympia this year, it'll be laid out differently to previous years, so it will help to be able to navigate for later in the day.

I'm relying heavily on the credit card this year, I've spent so much on photo shoots and have just got married last week so it's the tightest I've ever left myself. Normally try save up a few hundred but now I have a wife it's more difficult (don't tell her lol) Congrats buddy.

Saturday, Crown and Sceptre, from 7pm? Gives people a chance to drop stuff at their hotel and come back or they can go straight there

I'm not surprised, as soon as it was announced I knew this was going to be a very popular guest. I was out in the country with no phone network for 5 days. Sat in a pub on Friday evening to use their free wifi and refused to move till I found out who the guests were, so glad I did! I was ignoring my friends while sitting on my iPad but I think they understood and they had alcohol to entertain them haha! That's awesome; priorities, right?!

My main expense is always photoshoots too. So a lot is done in advance, so my con spending over the actual weekend tends to be minimal. Mostly food, a couple of Funkos and/or graphic novels, and maybe a print.

Got bought the photo shoot as a birthday present. Can't believe they're on Batch 3 already!

I spoke to CGC at another con in March and they said they didnt have any plans to be at LFCC, but that may have changed so dont quote me on it. There are generally other people there who will send off to CGC for you i.e Scott's Collectables so that may be the case again this year

What impact does that have on those who have already purchased a ticket?

There has been no response yet. I did buy one just to make sure, but am still baffled and a little peeved at the extra charge. To be fair, it was Manchester con this weekend gone, so SM would have been massively busy there. So fingers crossed we will get an answer soon.

It's times like these I think myself lucky to be a Londoner. The 45-minute tube journey is a minor compared to the journey of some. If I had spare rooms, I would offer guys!

I know those feels! I keep going back in to look and see, and every time - no option to buy... Let us give you money SM! Yeah, their new provider Eventbrite really aren't very good. There's been a lot of delays with putting ticket up for sale recently. I think SM need to have a word with them.... I believe SM are in charge of putting tickets up on the site, not Eventbrite. Yes, SM put the tickets up. On occasion something needs to clarified with Eventbrite, but the regular process is SM is doing it. Please everyone don't forget that the Manchester event is on the weekend. I imagine everyone is really busy right now. The tickets will get released as soon as possible. Appreciated, but we are, as ever, an impatient bunch. When an announcement is made there is the inevitable rush to want to throw our money at SM in exchange for the chance to meet said guest, so any delay tends to have us hopping from foot to foot hoping they'll be put up 5 minutes after checking the last time 😃 Thanks for the heads up QS
