  1. Noah Wyle would be awesome, was disappointed when he had to cancel a few years back. Dean Cain would also be awesome. Nathan Fillion Paul Bettany - I've got one of my favourites coming, would be great for my mum to have one too! Anyone, and I mean ANYONE related to Space Precinct. Joe Flanigan And yes, I realise this is one weird mix!
  2. Totally the people make it, be it bumping randomly into people you've met before or just chatting to others. In the queue for LFCC 2015 we ended up 20 people or so in front of a guy we met at a motorsport event earlier that year! Completely random! Very tempting to make a "it's my birthday, HUG ME" badge for Friday at LFCC!
  3. Finally confirmed yes I am doing at least one day of LFCC... which means... Damn, I need to find a cosplay! LOL Months of procrastination I've missed out on!! Current possibles are Kaylee (Firefly) because photoshoot with Alan Tudyk and possibly Lady Sif (Marvel) because, well I love her! One a tad easier than the other! I've also been toying with the idea of a female Loki...
  4. It goes without saying but make sure you've got entry tickets as well. She sorted that out too! Without prompting! Who is this woman and what has she done with my mother!?! (Usually I have to wait until someone she LOVES signs up before I even think about suggesting it, and then add in the photoshoots I wanted to do ages before that at the same time!)
  5. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I was so excited when I saw this yesterday, figured I would broach the subject with mum on pay-day next week... She came home today going "Do you have any plans for your birthday?" (My birthday being the Friday of LFCC), I was like "noooo..." (thinking "GO MEET ALAN TUDYK" in my head). "Nothing at all you'd want to do?" ... "Go to Comic Con and see Alan Tudyk..." said meekly and hopefully and trying not to ruin her imagined plans. "Thought you might, I was going to book it this morning but I thought I had better check first... there's this thing that gets you a picture and an autograph... I was going to get that..." So yeah, she's buying me a Diamond Pass as I type! While I try not to scream! LOL (I'll be going into work on Monday writing out a holiday form so I can book Saturday off too so I can go back to the talk!)
  6. Yeeeees, to the point when I saw this on twitter I briefly considered working out travel, entrance and photoshoot costs just to get another hug! (that picture remains one of my favourite with a guest)
  7. Ahhhhh! Hatched a Chansey today, again to great jubilation! Also took a chunk of candy out of my needed totals to evolve for a few of the empty spots in my pokedex (I need ONE candy to get my Alakazam!). The Isle of Wight is definitely a happy hunting ground for me!
  8. I felt really bad taking down a Cleffa to get a gym! For like a minute. Or maybe two. My mum is now 5 away from completing the European Pokedex... I'm not jealous... much... Getting there, slowly!
  9. Hatched a Magby today Also had a very fruitful long walk that finished the candy I needed for Arcanine and caught a bunch of Geodudes and Abra for some much needed candy!
  10. He was hatched, and I will admit to squealing and punching the air when he popped out the egg! Now if the 10K's I've got on the go could pop out an Aerodactyl and a Chansey I would be OH SO grateful!
  11. I have an army of Smoochum, but no Magby or Togepi. 11 'mon away from completing European Gen1 Pokedex! Have loved the increased starters event, went from having barely seen a charmander to having all three sat in my storage! In like 6 days! (I have a list on my iPad of what I need and how many candy I need to get to achieve it, if required! Was able to take two off the list today - Tangela and Charizard)
  12. My next 2K of the day was a Magicarp, so not all so magical! I need to get to a Bulbasaur nest, I'm not as bad off for them as I am Charmanders, but still needs some work. Under 10k away from level 27 now! So close I can almost taste it! (My mum is playing too and OMG she got so excited when we stumbled upon the Pinsir's yesterday!)
  13. Slowly but surely filling my Pokedex... Stumbled upon a Pinsir nest in Hyde Park today, and went to collect Ryhorn from the very active nest in St James Park! ANNNNND hatched two Charmanders!! TWO! I'm not even slightly ashamed of how excited I was!
  14. Friday we wandered between two parks, one with a Kabuto nest and one with a Pikachu nest. Three of each in the space of about 20 minutes!
  15. There was a Pikachu waiting for me outside work this morning, and a Ditto just now out the front of our place! Exciting times! I've never caught so many Rattata's and Pidgey's!
  16. Same, I can usually get a Squirtle a day round here, or at least see one. Had a couple of Bulbasaurs as well, still working through the evolutions for them though! With the double XP at the moment I should hit level 26 with ease. Got my first (and second) Ditto today - much to my mum's dismay, I had two before she'd got one and had basically spent the day catching everything in sight while I was a work! I think my second catch of the day revealed itself as a Ditto! I also had a Lapras arrive at work! Under a week into playing and he popped up under my desk! (another one that mum is annoyed over, she still doesn't have one!). I'm currently walking with one of my Sandshrew's - don't see them at all in my area annoyingly.
  17. Still playing (as is my mum) and slowly but surely filling my Pokedex. Took me til just over a week ago to get my first Charmander. He had been being very elusive! Bless her heart my mum was so excited the first Pikachu we both caught - he was just outside our combined work place and I went down to brag to her after I had him... "Code yellow" was all I needed to say! I've had three now, and walked far enough with him as my buddy to evolve as well! I like the new features they've added - bonus on first catch and first pokestop of the day, and bigger bonus for 7 day streak - and the buddy is excellent too!
  18. I get at least one Eevee a day pretty much. My town centre (where I work) is pretty good for them and the nature reserve I went to this afternoon had them too. Had a Voltorb turn up this evening outside my house, mighty kind of him to pop round!
  19. A Wartortle got away from me earlier, I was unimpressed! But thanks to a couple of kindly souls setting up lure modules I got a whole bunch of new ones. One being by the water so in addition to new ones was almost literally tripping over Psyducks! Level 11, seen 41 caught 39. Added Staryu, Slowpoke, Magicarp, Hypno, Oddish and Jynx. Got enough Eevee to evolve one and got a Vaporeon. Am having way too much fun with this, and more importantly getting out and getting some exercise!
  20. Mine were basically getting to work and back (except Lapras who was hiding under my desk!)
  21. Added Haunter, Electabuzz, Lapras and Jigglypuff to my collection today!
  22. One of my friends who doesn't live local to me was complaining she hadn't seen any Pidgey yet. Another friend is over-run with Drowzee! I need to transfer my excess at some point.
  23. Level 7 - Seen 22, caught 20. We are over-run with Pidgey, Ratatta and Spearow here, to the point I am ignoring them. Caught a Psyduck on the way to work this morning which pleased me! My mum has also just come home and announced she caught a Jigglypuff but it got away! (we have a combined age of 100 and are both playing!)
  24. That was probably due to the fact that when the first photoshoot started, most of the people (like myself) were still queuing outside; therefore, they all concentrated at the second chance. No, there were more people at the first shoot than the ones who was let through. I know this because they cut the queue right in front of me and said we had to come back later (fair enough, but then we should be able to expect being let through at the second shoot). The first shoot started roughly 15 minutes late, and that plus the chaos (sign didn't state which batches were currently being called, so it was absolutely no help, the crew were hard to reach as they were mostly in the middle of the queue) bled into the second shoot. Like I said in my post above I barely got into it because I was a weekend pass holder, but no way was I going to queue the entirety of a third shoot of his when I had a ton of shoots to get through the other two days. Like the OP said, we plan our days by our shoots, spread them across the days we are attending, barring cancelations or guest day changes we should be able to expect to get through our shoots if we show up in time. A schedule needs enough wiggle room so any delays can be made up for without it being at the attendees' expense. We were in the morning queue, ahead of the initial cut off point and still got sent away to come back for the pm shoot. Well I say we got sent away, no one actually bothered to tell the back of the queue that the shoot was over. We got the message when Neve Campbell queue was being formed. We were some of the friday only people who got called forward first (and are very grateful of that). Of course by that point in the day we were already an extra £26 out of pocket as were meant to be on a coach home when the second shoot started so had to get a train home instead. I think it would help a little having the BIG shoots spread between different areas - if there had been a smaller shoot after the morning session it would be less disruptive if it had run late to get through those who were in the queue.
  25. Not guest related, but my most WTF? moment of the day. Looking back across the queue waiting to go in and spotting a guy about 30 people back we spent a weekend chatting to at a hotel at a motor-race in April. At no point that weekend had we mentioned anything comic con related so it was a total surprise. Naturally we bumped into him a few more times inside the venue. Talk about a small world!
