Who do you regret not meeting?
Matty-lad replied to Ribbleblue's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Well I did meet her but had the opposite experience. She didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and barely spoke. -
Who's going to the winter London film comic Con
Matty-lad replied to No1avenger's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
For me it's always guest dependant. If there are any guests that either I or my brother really want to see then we'll make the 3 hour journey. -

I wouldn't say regret as such, but Christopher Lloyd. It's my own fault as I didn't have a Diamond pass (didn't realize how busy he'd be, stupidly.) I'll know for next time. -
Ferris Bueller 30th Anniversary for 2016
Matty-lad replied to gio619's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
True but then I might get to meet Wil Wheaton (I know a little selfish on my part.....) -
Ferris Bueller 30th Anniversary for 2016

Or maybe Stand By Me? Just a thought. Although I do like the idea of a Ferris one. -
Idea for Showmasters: send a survey to all attendees
Matty-lad replied to Naboo79's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
The problem with reviews is that they are all personal opinions. I've seem many people complaining how busy it was and how crowded and that they weren't able to get around and yet my brother and I were there for both Saturday and Sunday and didn't have many issues, was able to go to every level without getting stuck etc. Plus I've found that like most places on the internet, the negative feedback seems to be more vocal than the positive feedback. People are quicker to complain that praise in general. -
All I am going to say is that I would have loved to have gotten Christopher Lloyd's autograph but since I didn't have a Diamond pass it was understandable when I didn't. All the way through SM have said that the only way to guarantee an autograph was with Diamond, and if I'm honest, I wouldn't have bothered giving out VQ tickets until after all the Diamonds had gone through. At least that way there would be no false hope.

how were your experiences meeting guests?
Matty-lad replied to josh-hammond's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Well for me, Tim Russ was also not bothered at all. He was chatting with his helper when I got to his desk and while she was trying to get me included in the conversation and get my autograph sorted, Tim just wanted to carry on talking to her and barely acknowledged I was there. I has to ask him afterwards to personalize it for me. For me, he was the one that really put me off. So much so that I wasn't too worried about missing the Voyager talk on Sunday. Clifton Collins Jr on the other hand seemed to be on something when I met him Saturday. He was openly swearing quite loudly and seemed like he was either drunk or high. When he was signing my picture, he was concentrating very hard, almost like he didn’t know what he was doing. Was very strange (especially at 11am on Saturday.) I will say though that my highlights were James Tolkan (I had brought my own Masters Of The Universe picture,) Lea Thompson (I had brought the Caroline In The City DVD boxset) and Kelly Hu (I had brought my own Warehouse 13 picture.) All 3 were genuinely happy with what I wanted signing and that I had made an effort to bring something that was different. The only real thing that I was slightly disappointed with (and it was my own fault) was David Bradley had ran out of Dr Who pictures. This was at 5.30pm on Saturday so kind of understandable. I did get one from The Strain signed instead. I did like that show though so not too worried. -

Guest Cancellation - Ethan Philips
Matty-lad replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Well that's my 2nd cancellation. At least I still have 15 other autographs to get. My bother now has more guests to see than me. That's nearly unheard of. -
We're staying at the Kensington Suite Hotel. Reviews aren't too bad and as people have said, it's only a place to put our heads down. Plus breakfast is included and it worked out at £90 for my bro and me on Saturday night. We did book it a little late though.

Is your Con bag packed already?
Matty-lad replied to andyfilm_1's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Well I have my printed pictures I want signed, all the tickets (entry, photos, talk and train) and outfits sorted. Just need to worry about food and I'm sorted. Not sure my brother is anywhere near as organized though...... Good job I'm in charge of the tickets and most of the planning. -

Matty-lad replied to GelNerd's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Boring for me. I've a Star Trek Animated Series t-shirt for one day and a He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe t-shirt for other. Just need to make sure I meet James Tolkan when I'm wearing the He-Man one.... -

What are you getting signed?
Matty-lad replied to Che-Snake's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Yesterday my complete Caroline In The City dvd box set arrived for Lea Thompson to sign. I've printed out my own pictures for Jonathan Pryce / Dr Who, James Tolkan / Masters Of The Universe and Kelly Hu / Warehouse 13 to sign. The rest of my list will hopefully have relevant 10 x 8" available. -

Not sure we'd ever know. Since the majority of it was free, only a few tickets were sold to judge by. Take care, Matty-lad
