  1. A certain company takes years to uploax JPEGS and a lot of us never even got our photos on the day and were told to wait yet still never saw them. Showmaster is warp speed compared to them.

Without meaning to offend anyone, but what other companies did in the past is of little interest to me. I have only been to Showmasters' events so far, and I would like them to re-improve their photo shoot quality to a level which was readily available a couple of years ago, even last year... In terms of photo shoot quality, this year was rather disappointing to me, with all the bad lighting issues and the missing JPEGs... I don't want to face these problems again in the future, as mentioned above, which is why I posted my feedback in the first place.

I am still thankful for all those memories Showmasters have helped me create in the past, but nevertheless I wish to remind them what customer service is truly about: Noticing people's complaints and trying to do something about that. I would be very thankful to see improved photo shoot opportunities in the near future!

  2. I haven't voiced my opinion for many weeks now, instead I've been waiting silently for my two photos with Dolph Lundgren to be uploaded. Now, the time has come that I feel the need to express my thorough disappointment with the fact that most of the photos with one of LFCC's headlining guests 'have been lost'. This is not the level of professionalism I expected from a company like Showmasters, who have been providing quality service over many years. To me, the decision to attend photo shoots depends almost entirely on the possibility of downloading the picture afterwards in the highest quality available. Without this option, I wouldn't book as many photo shoots as I am currently doing, because I don't need just a small print which I cannot use properly in the future for posters, collages and so on, since a simple scan doesn't provide me with a high enough resolution to create memories like that.

If there were no downloads available at all, I would only go for autographs, because they provide me with a much longer opportunity to talk to a guest (in comparison to the incredibly rushed photo shoot queues) and obviously provide me with a (high-quality) autograph which I could cherish forever. To me, being able to download a photo after the show (for an additional fee, of course), is the very reason I (used to) prefer photo shoots over autographs, because they feel much more personal to me. This year, a simple "mistake" has robbed me of the opportunity to create a long-lasting memory of me meeting one of my all-time favourite action heroes by not being able to download the photo.

I would kindly but strongly suggest that Showmasters re-improve their services concerning photo shoots to the past year's standards, including the bad lighting issue, which has already been mentioned many times by other attendees in another topic. So far, I have attended three events which were organised by Showmasters, and living in Central Europe, this means spending a lot of money every time by flying in and booking hotels, adding the cost for the event itself. I am happy to pay all that, as long as I receive quality service in return. Please don't get me wrong, I am still happy that I attended this year's LFCC, but there were some issues this year that I wouldn't want to face again at an upcoming Showmasters event of any kind.

Thank you for reading my feedback!

  3. I'm humbly asking for Mamie van Doren (Hollywood Starlet of the Golden Age)!

Ever heard of the "Three M's"? -> Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield and Mamie!

She's also on Facebook and often replies to messages! I'm sure she'd be willing to come to London and be a popular guest! :)

  4. Hey there :) With the timetable being released, I was able to plan my own personal schedule.

On Friday, my first photo shoot starts at 13.30, on Saturday at 9.30 and on Sunday on 10.15

When should I arrive outside Olympia Hall? Unfortunately, I only have regular entry, but I am surprisingly tough when it comes to waiting in line, so any advice would be really helpful.

My personal guess: Arrival on Friday at 12.00, on Saturday on 7.00 and on Sunday on 7.00.

    Thank you! :-)

  5.

    ok thanks.

But which one i can attend with Batch 3 ticket - photoshoot 1 or 2 ?

This has been answered before: That depends on how many minutes the guest's session will be. If it's an entire hour, then Batch 3 will fit into Session 1. If it's only half an hour, then it will probably be in Session 2. :-)

  6. Hey there :) I have created my very own schedule and I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on how to handle the clashes? Here we go:

    Friday

    Richard Dean Anderson (Batch 1): 13.30 - 14.00

    Robert Englund (Batch 1): 13.50 - 14.15

    Neve Campbell (Batch 1): 14.05 - 14.35

    Amazon Eve (Batch 1): 15.55 - 16.00

QUESTION: While there isn't any clash with Eve, do you think I can handle the first three photo shoots? Either way, there won't be to much of a problem, because I can always attend the second photo shoot in case I miss the first one.

    Saturday

    Bill Paxton (Batch 1): 9.30 - 10.20

    maybe: Christopher Lloyd (Batch 1) 9.30 - 9.50

    Charles Dance (Batch 1): 10.05 - 11.05

    Lea Thompson (Batch 1): 10.30 - 11.00

    Michael J. Fox (Batch 1): 12.05 - 13.00

    Hayley Atwell (Batch 6): 14.50 - 15.30

    maybe: Christopher Lloyd (Batch 1): 15.35 - 15.55

    Carice van Houten (Batch 2): 15.40 - 16.10

QUESTION: Saturday is a nightmare. I can only pray that I manage to overcome the Christopher Lloyd clashes... Would you rather recommend his first or second session? What about the Bill Paxton / Charles Dance / Lea Thompson clash? Do you think I can handle that? Please, I really need your help with my planning for Saturday! Thank you :-)

    Sunday

    Sigourney Weaver (Batch 1): 10.15 - 10.55

    Jonathan Pryce (Batch 1): 10.55 - 11.25

    Iain Glen (Batch 4): 14.50 - 15.35

    Rose Leslie (Batch 3): 15.15 - 15.35

QUESTION: What about the Iain Glen / Rose Leslie clash?

Thank you for helping me out there. I can only hope that I'll get lucky on Saturday.. Otherwise I'll be in for a lot of disappointment :(

  7. Sorry for having caused so much havoc by asking this question. The previous topics I found by searching the forum only dealt with the problem that two people attended the con, while only the ticket buyer's name was written on the tickets. My problem was that the ticket buyer isn't even going to be present at the con and that I am planning on going alone.

Thank you for helping me out! :)

  8. Hey there :)

I was hoping you could answer a quick question of mine. I am going to attend this year's LFCC, and I can't await to meet all the fantastic guests!

When buying the tickets via Eventbrite, the only name that is required is the ticket buyer's. What if the attendee is a different person than the ticket buyer? I am asking you this because I was given quite a lot of photoshoot tickets as a gift. They were all purchased by this female relative of mine (and I am male). Therefore, the tickets also bear her name, and mine is nowhere to be seen!

Will this be a problem? The tickets are worth approx. 500 to 600 pounds, so it would be a real catastrophy if I couldn't use them for myself, although they were given specifically as a gift to me! I can assure you that I am just a fan - flying in from Austria to meet my favourite stars.

Can anyone help me? Are you there, Queen Sindel? :D

    Thank you so much!

  9.

Hoping someone can help! My sister has just very kindly bought me a delorean photo op for my birthday, obviously the ticket is in her name, but she isn't actually attending herself, so was just going to give me the ticket. This is alright right?! Panicking...slightly...loads

i dont think the E-tickets have names printed on them, so just print it out and bring it with you :)

Someone mentioning Lady Gaga made me think... What if it was someone from the music industry, who is also known for their acting? I'm thinking of

    Barbra Streisand

    Cher

    Bette Midler...

They are certainly A-List, none of them have done conventions before and we wouldn't expect them to be announced ...

It could also be a TV star, because then you can add their signature to your multi-signed item... What about Gary Sinise? He is a major TV star and has been nominated for an Oscar (Forrest Gump!).

Personally, I am hoping for a real Hollywood legend. With so many passing away just recently, it might be a one-of-a-kind experience! What about

    Kim Novak

    Tippi Hedren

    Shirley MacLaine

    Joanne Woodward

    Sidney Poitier

    Rita Moreno

    Eva Marie Saint

    Sophia Loren

    Mamie Van Doren

    Olivia de Havilland

    Clint Eastwood

    Kirk Douglas

These stars are at least in their 80s, some even approaching their 100th birthday, so it's safe to assume that they won't be attending the show...

It would be a dream nevertheless! :)

Admittedly I have only heard of about 2 names on that list, but Stan Lee was 91 when he came last year, so never say never. But I don't think most of them would be this announcement.

Many of them have won at least one Academy Award, so I consider them Hollywood royalty ;-)

You might know Kim Novak and Tippi Hedren from Alfred Hitchcock's movies, Olivia de Havilland is the last surviving main cast member of Gone With The Wind and has won two Oscars herself etc...

I like movies from Hollywood's Golden Age! :D
