  1. Great guest... Was gutted when he cancelled Sheffield, so this addition is very welcome.
  2. Caity Lotz John Carpenter PJ Soles Jen & Silvia Soska Lou Taylor Pucci Doug Bradley
  3. Showmasters need to work on their national presence, and not neglect these 'smaller' events. Lfcc a few weeks back had over 200 guests in attendance, with maybe 20-30 of interest to me, as an example. Now with these recent cancellations there are going to be 3 of interest to me at this event. I am not sure if it's worth the 300 mile round-trip for me now. SM need to be very careful about these non-flagship shows (i.e. anything outside of London) as there are a lot of upstart comic-cons having their inaugural shows this year, and if they are not careful SM events may be getting even less plausible in future if the competition begin to get a foothold. Rumours going around Lfcc were that Jason is thinking/trying to launch SM events in the USA. Is this even more reason to be concerned about the lesser UK SM cons?
  4. She was beautiful and always smiling at LFCC. A real pleasure to meet, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Great guest!
  5. I think there needs to be a full, written statement from Showmasters on the validity of presenting the Freddy Diamond Passes at another event/venue. It would be useful for us to print out and present at the door for the venue staff to read rather than have to explain the whole situation to them verbally. I am travelling 200 miles to Glasgow's show next month to get my Robert Englund autograph that I didn't get at London, so it would be nice to have an assurance that my entry to the show will go smoothly...
  6. Met Iain Glen, no problem at all, at about 3pm on Sundayafter queuing for 5 minutes or so. He was ploughing through the autos very quickly, so no issues at all. He was a very polite, but not chatty, guest. Tip for getting through to see loads of guests - don't be a wimp like me and keep going up to level 3 to enjoy some aircon. I got plenty done, but could have done so much more had it not been for the heat...
  7. For me: Rose Leslie, Gemma Whelan, Neve Campbell, Lea Thompson, Jonathan Pryce and Jodi Lynn O'Keefe. I did meet some incredible guests though (Sherilyn Fenn, Gregg Henry, Bill Paxton to name a few) so this sort of compensates for those I missed...
  8. Would love if SM could push the boat out and get Robert Englund to Newcastle, so I can use my Diamond Pass from the weekend's LFCC to actually get his signature (due to him cancelling the Sunday autographing sessions on the day). Could also get my pic with him as Freddy signed - which would be awesome...
  9. I got a six minute chunk recorded on my camera, but won't be uploading it anywhere - it was because 2 of the 3 people I was with were held up getting to the start of the talk, so I recorded it for them to see what they missed. They came in, I stopped recording. It didn't include the Carrie 'scream' or Siggy confirming that Alien 5 was 100% on... or Bill Paxton getting a bit embarassed when admitting playing with Carrie during filming down-time...
  10. She was a phenomenal guest - on Sunday she insisted everyone had a sit down at her desk for a chat. Surrealest 10 minutes of my life, but awesome...
  11. I quite enjoyed Carrie Henn recreating her scream from the movie, too
  12. Nothing on Avatar, but she confirmed that the new Alien movie is 100% going ahead, with ridley Scott producing and Neil blomkamp directing of course. Massive cheer from the audience at this point...
  13. Good luck Showmasters. Make it a good one for us all... and remember... AIRCON, AIRCON, AIRCON ... : )
  14. How's the Aliens talk selling, Jason. I want to get 4x tickets for this, but until the schedule for the weekend is produced I'm reluctant to purchase as I've got a busy weekend already planned and I'd hate to have this clash...
  15. Sorry if this has been asked already in this thread/elsewhere, but I'm at work at the mo and just wanted a quick confirmation before parting with more cash. I'm in a group of 4x Gold Pass attendees - is the Aliens talk included with the Gold Pass (as 'Aliens' is not a Diamond Guest, per se) or do I need to buy the tickets. I can see the GoT and Neve Campbell talks are included with Gold, but just want to be 100% spot on before handing over £220... Thanks.
  16. Top guest - I had the pleasure to meet Will at Newcastle earlier in the year ... a really, really nice guy to stop by and have a chat with (and pick up some of his awesome prints)...
  17. Thanks for your work, Jason. And don't forget to turn the aircon up to full in Olympia...
  18. Excited for and dreading LFCC at the same time! It could be a great weekend, but I am so heat-sensitive it's ridiculous. Already started on my Odaban campaign, will be building up with Sweat Block from next Monday, already bought new Nike Dri-Fit polo shirts to (hopefully) help me stay a bit cooler ... plus my rosacea (red cheeks, neck and nose) is just about ready to start to flair up. I will likely need to photoshop the colour out of my face on the photos I have taken!!
  19. Brilliant addition to the line-up - this guy, before during and after KNB, has his amazing work in so many classic and genre-defining movies. The guy is a legend.
  20. Tremendous! I watched ALIENS last night, and was wondering about a load of the actors in the smaller supporting roles, and what they had done before/since - Trevor Steedman was one of the names I was reading up on on IMDB, then 20 minutes later - he was announced. C'mon Showmasters - get them all!!!
  21. From: http://www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com/zones/44-anime-zone "Gold pass holders will not require a VQ ticket from the popular guests, allowing you to avoid the long queues - Please be aware however that for Diamond Pass Guests you may require a VQ ticket if that guest does an open signing session. Golden Pass holders will be given priority queuing at the photo sessions- this excludes any photo sessions with Diamond Pass guests." I am a Gold Pass holder, and have booked photos only with Sigourney Weaver (i.e. I have not ordered a Diamond Pass). Please can SM confirm will I need a VQ number to be able to join the queue for Siggy's autograph, and I will I get the usual queue-jump perk for the photo sessions?
  22. The way SM are going, there will undoubtedly be a focus on it being a diamond pass - then hopefully us mortals may get a few separate crumbs by way of photoshoots and (if we're lucky) autos. But saying all this, if it is a genuinely massive star - I'm thinking Arnie or Sigourney (massive, by my definition) - paying top dollar for them to attend may be the only option SM have, so have to recoup their costs accordingly.
