I'm with Macfetters on this! Other Showmasters events have a wide variety of guests but for the last two events, it's been too Dr Who influenced in Cardiff and now Game of Thrones had been thrown into the mix but not everyone is a fan of the shows so it's so annoying that Cardiff have a show that feels like it should be renamed the Dr Who and Game of Thrones Convention. I really wish Dr Who wasn't filmed around Cardiff! I'm so disappointed with the line-up this time and have no plans to go at present, despite going to the last two. Showmasters have increased the entry price but decreased the variety of guests. The forum is usually buzzing but it's very quiet in the run-up to this one. Showmasters, PLEASE consider non Dr Who and Game of Thrones fans!

Also the forum is a lot less busy than in the build-up to the last event. Come on Showmasters! More guests, please!

First Cardiff Comic Con I was thrilled to meet Robert Englund, Brian Blessed and Lance Henriksen and if I'd had more money with me, I would have met more. Last one as soon as Christopher Judge was announced I was counting down the days and meeting Suanne Braun really was the icing on the cake but the last one seemed a lot less busy and friends and I weren't as impressed with the whole line-up (though absolutely worth it to meet Stargare SG1 actors). Usually I go in a group of five but so far, three of us aren't going because we're not Dr Who or Game of Thrones fans and the other two aren't fully decided. We were hoping to be getting costumes sorted by now but the line-up is nowhere near as strong as previously. As soon as the dates were announced for this one I was excited but as time has gone on, I've gone from disappointed to apathetic. It's a good atmosphere there but I won't pay the increased entry fee unless there's at least one person I want to meet.

I'm checking the website daily for more guests. I attended the last two events in Cardiff with family and friends and intended to go to the next one but at the moment, there's no-one attending to entice us to the third :-(

I'm going to a hen party afterwards so wouldn't be able to make any get together but I think it's a fabulous idea. And with Saturday being St David's Day, the atmosphere in Cardiff will be amazing.

I think it would be nice to have guests back. I understand the need keep shows fresh with different guests but I'd love to see Lance Henriksen and Robert Englund again. Not everyone will be able to attend every Showmasters event so it wouldn't make sense to only have guests once and you only have to look at signatures of people who have met guests to see that some people are happy to meet some stars numerous times. I'm taking my nephew who met Brian Blessed last year so I think it would be wonderful if he could have a photo with him evey year - certainly beats a school photo!

If you think that about last years event then surely it is fair that they are catered for this year? That said the reality is that the guest line up is based on availability rather than catering for certain fandoms. But if memory serves Dr Who fans WERE catered for last year and there was a fabulous variety of guests to keep everyone happy - EVERYONE seemed to be catered for. This year seems too Dr Who and Star Wars laden - of the thirty-three current guests, twenty are linked to Dr Who / Torchwood / Star Wars. I know they're popular but so are other shows too. Dr Who fans love the line-up and I'm really pleased for them but for those who are not fans of the show, we'd just like people from other shows and genres to keep us happy too.

I'd love to meet anyone from the original V - I wore out a VHS I watched it so often! It was that show that got me interested in sci-fi.

More guests from cult horror and sci-fi shows would be brilliant and from shows other than Dr Who, please! I do appreciate that Dr Who is popular but last year had guests from a much wider variety of programmes. I can't wait to meet Chris Judge and Suanne Braun so personally would love more Stargate people and anyone from Xena, Mutant X, Spartacus, Firefly, V would be amazing. Please cater more for the non Dr Who and Star Wars fans like you did last year! Although Peter Capaldi would be wonderful (huge Thick Of It fan).

I went to the Cardiff Comic Con last year (my first one!) and absolutely loved it. It was incredible and a real honour to meet Brian Blessed, Robert Englund and Lance Henriksen. As soon as I saw Chris Judge's name down for this one I was excited to book a ticket and I can't wait to see him and Suanne Braun. That said though, there does seem to be less of a variety this year - very Dr Who and Star Wars oriented and I KNOW they're obviously very popular but I'm not a fan so I'm still hopimg for more guests from other shows as well. I understand people are saying Cardiff Comic Con is not as well-established as London but last year was awesome so I'm looking forward to his year. Guests from Xena and Mutant X would be vey much appreciated though (please get Victoria Pratt!!!) And I know my sister would love Buffy and Charmed people
