  2. Good Call WaterBoy! If you want somewhere cheap to eat n drink in the day/evening, then one of the best pubs in Wembley is JJ Moons - A Wetherspoons pub on the left on the High Road as you walk to Wembley Central tube station. And if you get drunk enough to want no more beer(horrors!) - you can buy each other rounds of choloate fudge-cake!! (you'd never guess I used to spend most nights of the week there would ya?) Seriously tho - go eat first thing. And that applies to anyone not crewing too - as the exhibition hall isn't cheap for grub and as the excitement of the day keeps you occupied, you need to keep nourished (mmmmm, beeeeeeer! - I MEAN food!)
  3. That's my girl, Marianne. She was a Pit Boss during the day, and Trinity at night. I was told someone had been posting here, and wanted to thank her about something? Send an email to the crew address - crew@showmastersonline.com , and I'll pass it on. Stef
  4. Foo Fighters - ONE BY ONE - "Low" (while I write out your Crew Book envelopes and stick stamps on em)
  5. Aghhhh - Boll*cks. He was a Top Bloke.
  6. THIRTY?? Good God I thought you were gonna say 37!!!!! Awwww! Bless her.... you don't look a day over 27 my dear! An wot an excuse for a party!!! Let me see, LFACC2 over and will have moved into new house, also two weeks before the 'boarding season starts...... hmmm you might just have me along to help you drink too!!! And Marianne of course once I tell her! So long as it's NOT Bacardi & Coke and Breezers - SCREAMING GIRLS drinks!!!!!! We'll get you some Woo-Woo's, Screwdriver and Hairballs - proper LADIES drinks + potent!!!!! Look forward to it! Stef & Marianne by proxy!
  7. So this is what you lot do on here Vamps! Hmmm, I hear voices..... with a kinda musical lilt........ Bloody hell - it's my Cthulhu statue! (think it's time for bed)
  8. Usually the same place as the spirit gum. I just noticed that Hightower talk about using liquid latex to secure prosthetics, with that you just need to peel the stuff off afterwards - no special cleaning.
  9. FYI - Hightower do VERY good quality kit. I've had their ears, chins, nose, finger prosthetics, and all are good. secure nicely with spriti gum and Bob's yer mothers brother! Couple bits of info for ya to do with ALL latex products tho - If your using spitit gum - make sure you get some spirit gum remover, else you'll be ripping your prosthetic and possibly skin when the time comes to remove them. Clean the spirit gum or makeup from your prosthetic after use thororoughly, else the latex will perish. after cleaning/use, best thing to do is to use a little talcum powder to protect the latex (and keep out of prolonged sunlight). All the above applies to rubber/latex cloting and Latex weapons/props too. So there you go, bits of crap info from an aging LRPer. Stef
  10. The Heiro print - I haven't seen it for years anywhere (think used to be able to get it from giger.com) but you can possibly get a scan from one of the following - Morpheous International book - 'HR Giger RETROSPECTIVE 1964-1984' TITAN books - 'Gigers Alien' Also, if you haven't got it - TASCHEN book - 'www HR Giger com' is a FANTASTIC wealth of info and images, and relatively cheap too as its a Taschen book. And there's nothing else you can say apart from AWESOME when you check out the Morpheous International Books - 'Necronomicon' 'NecronomiconII' and 'Biomechanics' - A3 size hardbacks, cost me about £50 each, ten years ago so dunno how much they are now. but worth every penny! Just for info - Giger did preliminary work on the film Dune in 75/76 but his work wasn't used. (His friend Salvador Dali was said to agree to appear in the film if he was paid £100,000 an hour!) Stef
