  1. ooft, pretty jealous mate! My mate lives in London and a real number cruncher. He couldn't believe the lack of cache's north of the border. Took him a while to find a series for us to do on his last visit. I was in London (Croydon/Horsham) last week and was surprised how common they are!
  2. Here's to being ancient! (I'll re-post this in 2 hours unaware I already have)
  3. I own a wee pub out towards Falkirk and I'd be happy to keep a stack there.
  4. Jane Seymour as Solitaire was pretty phenomenal! But lately I can't believe I missed (nobody else has really posted either?) Maud Adams as Octopussy. She is beautiful!
  5. Bret could have the proverbial match with a broom. The guy was fantastic. I always loved him as a kid but now I'm older and appreciate his matches and character more im just in awe.
  6. I'm an avid reader and lately I've stuck with big epic sci-fi series. I'm a big Stephen King fan so I adore The Dark Tower series. I am also near done with the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan and Brendan Sanderson. They are quite special. A book that has always left a big impression on me was From The Corner Of His Eye by Dean Koontz. Not horror at all and was the sweetest read I've ever had. Bit of a tear jerker. One that really stood out as something different was A Confedaracy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. I've not even read anything else by him since but it was brilliant! Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit of course. True Love Roald Dahl was great when I was younger, the guy made me want to read. Terry Pratchett is always great for a quick flick too. He's much clevererererer than he gets credit for.
  7. I'm an avid cacher. Nothing beats a good FTF! Urban caching can get a bit soul destroying at times. Most of them tend to be placed just for the hell of it and to boost numbers as opposed to any real learning or interest behind it and the threat of muggles milling about constantly is just frustrating. It's great to get out and find a right good series, spend the whole day out and about. As tempting as it is to boost numbers like a virtual bedpost, its much more fun with friends or going on a wee trek I find. I can't devote as much time as I'd like to it but whenever I'm visiting another city/country I'll always make sure I grab a few or take a days holiday from work to refresh the batteries and get some air. Braw!
  8. Thanks Queen and David, appreciate the quick replies! Yeah I suppose those sites have took right over. I will hold strong and not re-activate my Facebook. I'm close to 6 months since I shut it and miss the chat but not pictures of kitten, trying to cure cancer by liking a picture and bringing soldiers home by sharing a sad image. Twitter is the way ahead I done a wee search in the last few weeks but still feel a bit daft adding strangers because they happened to mention 4 months ago something I have a similar interest in. Although after a few vods it becomes a lot easier to press Follow back
  9. Ah well, I wasn't going to but might as well :) Seems like a really quiet forum though? Might be best or I will spend all day gabbing away :) I'm David, love my sci-fi but its took a few years to embrace my inner nerd. I'm a huge wrestling fan too. I've always been a big collector of stuff, my friend claims its called Completism which probably sums it up just right. Still finding my feet with a lot of things that you all will be familiar with. I don't think I'll buy comics but I like them whenever I read them. The whole layout is too much for my brain to comprehend. Series on series, interlaced with other comics and....yeah, I'll stick with 2hr films. nice and simples :) I got really hooked into Batman (Bale) but always liked it from afar before him. That introduced to watching Iron-Man, Captain America, Avengers and so on. My friend Victoria suggested I come to Collectormania in Glasgow later this year so that seems quite cool. Not big on meeting "celebs" but it will be nice to see stalls, whats on offer and just enjoy myself and learn a bit more. I love Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. Stephen King's Dark Tower series is incredible and i enjoy Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time too. Hopefully chatter picks up a wee bit on here as it would be cool to talk to new people as I dont really know anyone else into all this. Cheeeeers
  10. My friend Vicky put me onto this last week and im pretty excited about it! Worried I'll spend a fortune though. Hopefully see some of you there
