  1. I too enjoyed Gene Cernan's talk very much- he painted an evocative picture of what it was like to look back at the Earth from the lunar surface that had us all enthralled. I noticed also that he was really good with the kids who came up to stare at him while he was signing! Mary Stopes Roe was lovely and chatted away- when she heard my Scottish accent she told me about the bouncing bomb tests on Loch Striven which was fascinating! It was a real honour to meet George "Johnny" Johnson; what a nice man and, as is the way with most real heroes, modest and dignified. Many thanks Showmasters for allowing us the opportunity of meeting such interesting and talented people.
  2. That's a shame-was looking forward to meeting her-maybe another time. Had a great day at Collectormania today in my home town of Glasgow- well done Showmasters :-)
  3. Many congratulations to the Showmasters team- my daughter and I had a great day at Collectormania! It was fun getting photos with the Rebel Legion characters and Judge Purge (he is the law!). Alice Krige was lovely, Robert Llewellyyn was a gentleman and a scholar (as was David Warner), Lance Henriksen was friendly and cool, Dave Prowse IS Darth Vader and Robert Englund was fun and crazy! Sure it was busy at times, but a wee bit of hustle and bustle is all part of the fun! It was my daughter's first "convention" experience and she was so happy- thanks to all of the above for being so nice with her. Well done from a proud Glaswegian :-)
  4. I'm fairly new to this forum so they may have appeared at previous events, but it would be great to see Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood as guests...
  5. That's a coincidence as on my only visit to KSC (so far) in August 2007 her shuttle "Endeavour" was on the pad waiting to launch a few days later. I'm looking forward to meeting her :-)
  6. Great news- another opportunity to meet a NASA hero! I had a great time in Birmingham last October chatting to Charlie Duke (a real gent) and to get my photo with Buzz Aldrin. Many thanks again Dave for allowing me to move nearer the front of the Buzz photoshoot queue so's I didn't miss my 5pm flight back to Glasgow! Good luck for 2013 :-)
