  1. There's a guy called Jamie Breese who is a collectables expert and has a column in the Sunday Mirror. He also has his own website- just do a search for him. Hope this is of use.
  2. Well, if the Dear Green Place isn't picked I suppose Auld Reekie would suffice! :-D
  3. Does anyone know when the next "Destination Star Trek" event will be held in the UK?
  4. I agree with Matthewman- the bar was raised pretty high last year
  5. Dear Forum, Is it possible to send in my own photos for signing; if so, where do I send them, the venue or a Showmasters address? Hope you can help.
  6. You guys have all posted some great pics! Pictured with both Spocks and a Shatner/Stewart combo-Sagart, I salute you
  7. I like Pegg and Frost but I'm more of a Coogan man myself. Simon was part of Steve's first live tour in 1998- he's done alright for himself since then!
  8. I love this film. Finally got the blu-ray with the theatrical release which is better than the "Special Edition". I like to pretend Alien 3 and 4 never happened. "Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen!"
  9. Just remember that if it wasn't for Showmasters you would probably never get the chance to meet Buzz or any of the other astronauts; I'm certainly grateful for the opportunity they've provided for me. If you can't afford his autograph just do what I did in 2012 and pay £50 for the photoshoot. You get to meet your hero and there is a photographic reminder. I'm sure Dave and the team try and get the best deal possible on the autograph price
  10. I met him in Glasgow in 2001 just before he got a resurgence in popularity as the Little Britain narrator-really nice guy. He had a bag of Jelly Babies on the table but insisted they were a gift from a fan.
  11. Good Call with the X-Files suggestion. I met Jerry Hardin (Season 1's Deep Throat) at a convention in Glasgow in the late 90's and got a signature and a photo. He was appearing at the Edinburgh Festival around that time in a play about Mark Twain
  12. 2001: A Space Odyssey is my favourite film in any genre. I saw it on the big screen in Edinburgh and it was a visual feast. Alien, Aliens (the theatrical cut without the "derelict visit" scene), Star Wars, Trek, The Thing ('82), Predator, Blade Runner, The Matrix, Dark Star...there's so many. I'm into Prometheus just now, watched it twice last week.
  13. How about Kyle MacLachlan, Jurgen Prochnow & Francesca Annis?
  14. By the time Sylvester's turn came around I'd kinda lost interest in Doctor Who, but I know he's a fine actor and he has been great in the Hobbit movies, so I will get a Radagast pic signed if he would be kind enough to do so.
  15. I've seen him at previous Autographicas but haven't actually spoken to him as have been too distracted by astronauts! This year I will make a point of getting his autograph.
  16. Maybe he could appear by video-link if he couldn't make it in person. I'm sure it will be a great event regardless!
  17. Benedict HAS to be involved in some form or another otherwise it would be a bit of an anti-climax.
  18. Gene Kranz would be cool. I know I've said it before, but how about the stars of the best film ever made (well, in my opinion anyway)- Keir Dullea and Gary Lockwood...
  19. That's a good idea. I've just pre-ordered Alan Bean and Barbara Bain autographs expecting to be given a choice of image to select for signing but there is no facility for that. I will send in my own pics to be signed if it is possible to do that. Or shall I leave it to Lady Luck...?
  20. I wasn't planning to go this year as I'd met Buzz in 2012, but it would be great to meet Alan as apart from all his achievements as an astronaut and an artist he comes across as a very genial bloke (Photoshoot photographer take note- don't let him near your camera as he broke one on the moon!)
  21. It was £50 for the photoshoot and £240 for a standard autograph.
  22. Sadly I won't be able to attend next year, but if you see Buzz wearing a pair of Saltire cufflinks they were a gift from me when I met him last year! I hope everyone enjoys Autographica 20 and I look forward to reading your posts about the event.
