  1. Another event next year? Awesome idea. That is all.
  2. Eddie was a legend, and I consider it an honour to have met the gentleman. Truly one of the highlights of my weekend (hence the pic).
  3. Just decided to upload the photos from my camera of the weekend and the disc is completely corrupted. I'm devastated. I've managed to recover about 3 photos from the event, but lost the rest including all I took of the museum and pics with some of the attendees in costume :/
  4. Haha I was there for that, and can understand why you guys were angry. I'm glad you both had a good time though, and I was envious that your partner got to have such a laugh with the guys :)
  5. Nice video :) I looked for myself then realised I was in the Scott Bakula talk, doh!
  6. David Warner and Scott Bakula; such warm and friendly guys, who took the time to chat to you and made me feel like I wasn't just a face in the crowd. Scott even allowed me to interject an 'Oh Boy' during the photoshoot and laughed (and I'm sure he had that *so* many times). Top people. And of course, Bill always has and always will be a legend.
  7. I loved it, the queues were harsh at times but when 18000 people show up I don't see what else you can do. I had a photo with everyone I wanted and met some awesome people, so it was a huge win for me. Loved it, and miss the atmosphere.
  8. Met someone from Australia while in the queue for Connor Trinneer, and had a nice chat :)
  9. I've never met so many genuinely nice people, from guests to crew to fellow attendees. Everyone was extremely personable. It makes me extremely proud to be part of such an amazing fandom and exemplifies for me what makes Star Trek such a great show.
  10. I would definitely be up for another next year. Come on Simon Pegg, you know you want to!
  11. I'm suffering from that too. I'm reading everyone's posts about who they met and the times they had, and despite my stress at the time (nature of the beast making sure you meet everyone you want to), I miss it and still wish I was there - although my bank account is breathing a sigh of relief that I'm not!
  12. I just returned home from the DSTL weekend and thought I'd congratulate showmasters on a fantastic event. Did it go entirely without a hitch? No, but for the amount of people who were attending, I thought they did a bang up job. Everyone from guests to crew to fellow attendees were so friendly that one couldn't help but have a great time. I managed to meet everyone I intended to plus a few more besides! However as great as it was to finally meet some of my heroes, I would be remiss if I didn't thank the hard work and efforts of the crew members, who IMO truly made the weekend despite being under immense pressure. In particular I would like to thank Alice for brightening the weekend. She first helped out while I was waiting for a friend in the Brent Spiner queue (Saturday evening) and decided to grab myself a Michael Dorn autograph. Alice was the one overseeing the open queue at that point, and was incredibly helpful with regards to acquiring said autograph. The following day she was working on (I believe all day) photo stand B, and again was incredibly helpful, answering any questions and being chatty with a smile. I cannot fault her enthusiasm and attitude. I had to return to Photo stand B several times during the course of Sunday (photos with Eddie Paskey and John De Lancie among others), and each time she brought a smile to convention goers faces with her helpful attitude, so much so that when it was time to leave I felt I had to return to photo stand B and thank her for pretty much making the weekend (If she's reading this, I was the guy with the William Shatner shirt who was told due to a mix up that Eddie Paskey had begun when it was still Mariana Hill). Since I got back a short while ago I've written to showmasters themselves to commend her, but just in case she doesn't get it and is on here I just wished to say thank you Alice for making the weekend even better than I had hoped it would be.
