  1. I only went to a couple of the free talks and i dont recall anyone mentioning that no videoing was allowed. I will admit i did do a few very short videos as i was unaware and no-one told me at the time that i should stop.
  2. Christoff, you are a true gentleman sir.
  3. If anyone saw a mini-Chakotay on Saturday, a young boy with a tattoo similar to the one Chakotay has, that was my son! Quite a few people wanted to take pics with him because he is quite cute!
  4. Just thought I would vent my anger and frustration here. I would say all the crew members I spoke to and who I had asked questions dealt with me in a nice and pleasant way and gave me good advice. Apart from one. After a long day on the Saturday, my wife, my 6 year old son and I decided to sit down on the floor next to a barrier. It was my son who accidently banged into the side of this black barrier and made a bit of noise but no damage was done. He is only little and certainly didnt do it on purpose. All of a sudden, a crew member pops out of no-where on the other side of the barrier and says, "Guys. UP." in a very rude and demanding tone. "You scared the crap out of me and you almost broke this barrier" or words to that affect. We said we were sorry and we moved away. But I was so upset by her language especially as I had my little boy with us and I dont find this sort of language appropriate for little children. I did let her know and made her aware that I didnt appreciate her language infront of my son. She did say sorry which i do accept now but I hope the crew member in question is reading this and learns from this as I dont think it was good customer service and hope she deals with people in a more civilized way in future. A big thank you to all the other crew members who did a fantastic job.
  5. Anyone who lives in the UK (and I do) will tell u that is definatley NOT Boris Johnson. Looks like a hoaxer
  6. I was originally planning to go but when I heard it was £10, i was kinda put off. As the day went on, I went past the exit and had a quick glance and all I could see was some guys with star trek tops running around and jumping off platforms. No offence to the performers, im sure they are very athletic and very good at what they do but what exactly does this have to do with star trek? I was glad I didnt go to it as for me personally I dont think it would have been worth £10 as I was expecting something a bit more involving special fx, etc.
  7. The free talks for stage B was an absolute farce on Saturday when I attended. The queue was just ridiculous and I really do feel sorry for anyone who had to queue for a long time and didnt get any tickets. There were no crew staff controlling this queue, no-one knew what they were actually queuing for, I had to ask members of the public who were queuing for assistance. Only about 20 people were in the Icheb talk and they weren't letting people in! How crazy is that!!! I really wanted to go to that talk as well. I somehow managed to get tickets to the other talks during the day but I felt it should have been dealt with alot better. People who didnt have tickets for the next talk stayed seated even though they didnt queue up originally like the rest of us. I found that really annoying too. It was just so poorly handled.
  8. I received an email saying that they were unable to send me my photo shoot tickets in time, even though i ordered them last wednesday They are saying to collect them from the box office on the day. I am hoping and praying the queue for this box office is non-existent as i would be livid if I arrived and there was a huge queue! This will no doubt take valuable time away from the event itself which is a huge disappointment! Not happy with See Tickets AT ALL!!!!
  9. The letter is only needed if you are not the card holder of the card that was used to order tickets. If you ordered with your own card bring the e-mail confirmation and ID and all will be fine. Many thanks, thats bit clearer now! Where exactly do i show these details when i arrive? Is it at the entrance or inside somewhere? Also will they let me know at the time what number my photoshoots would be so i would have an idea what time to go? Sorry for my dumb questions, first time im coming to anything like this!
  10. Like ryker1701, I too ordered my photoshoot tickets separately last wednesday but i have only received my entry tickets for saturday. I am worried i dont receive my photoshoot tickets in time. Im in the UK so I would have expected the tickets to be sent by now. If i dont receive them in time, what info do i need to bring for proof? I have only received an email confirmation which has a reference number regarding the photoshoots, i have no letter which has been mentioned... im confused!
  11. Where can we purchase them and how much are they?
  12. Many thanks for answering my questions! It has cleared up alot of things! In regards to the stunt show, would we be able to purchase separate tickets either online or on the day to see this?
  13. Joined this forum, some great information on here and hope to learn alot more about the event before we go. Looking forward to the event which will be my first convention!
  14. Hi there, Im a complete newbie to this and this will be my first event ever, apologies if any of these questions have been asked before or if the questions sound kinda dumb but I would appreciate your help. Im a big star trek fan and im dragging my wife and my 6 year old son to this event as I hope it will have something for them also even though they are not as passionate as me! They are starting to like Voyager and TNG respectively as much as I do and I hope this event will encourage them to be as big if not bigger fans than me in future. As we are going for one day with a standard ticket, my wife is concerned that there will not be enough to do or to see on the day with this kind of ticket. I was checking the floorplan on the website, am I right in assuming the following will be completely free to see with a standard ticket: Free Talk Stage, Klingon Zone, Museum, Official Show Merchandise, Behind the Scenes Stage, CBS Action, Fanzone, Offical Star Trek Magazine, Paramount Home Entertainment, SFX Magazine, Federation Zone, History Gallery, Enterprise Model, Live Graffiti Wall ? If I have missed any, please let me know which will be free to see. What will happen in these areas which I have mentioned? Am I also right in assuming that a standard ticket does not include the stunt show? If not, are separate tickets available to purchase this either online or on the day? Will the guests be roaming around like the rest of us when they are not in talks, photo sessions etc.? Are photo-sessions available to buy on the day even if they have sold out online? If so, will the price be the same? Would the guests who are giving photos/autographs be sectioned off and hidden out of view the whole time to prevent people from taking pictures from afar? If so, would there be any opportunities to take pictures of the guests either close-up or from afar during the exhibition at any time? Any confirmation about what kind of food will be available and what kind of dietary requirements they provide, e.g vegetarian, halal, etc.? Will we be allowed to re-enter the exhibition on the same day without charge if for any reason you had to leave? Many thanks for your help and your patience!
