  1. Just seen yours on Twitter, looks great! Should have mine when I get home from work.
  2. Brilliant! Shame that when the weekend ends, they're going to be punctured with holes. Maybe a barcode scanning system could be implemented in the future like Theme Park attractions..... Just a thought
  3. Thanks for posting the picture. With the quotes on the back I assume this is Bill Paxton's pass? Did you edit out the number/hologram? There is no space on where it could be
  4. Great! Anything like my mock up picture? Saying "it'll suit the goths" gives me hope it'll have Giger-esque / biomechanical design
  5. Haha, you and me both!! Didn't help that it was misplaced into the Friday section but it was the only way to find out as the forums was down.
  6. Haha, I know the feeling! I ordered it without checking the contents of the Diamond Pass because I knew that I wanted her no matter what Thanks for the time :)
  7. I'm surprised people got to see the announcement because the forums had crashed and wouldn't load long after that...
  8. Cool, congrats! :) Out of curiosity, what time did you order your pass? It's displayed on the PDF ticket under 'Order Info' box that came with your email notification.
  9. Nice! I haven't been home yet to check my post. What number did you get?
  10. Great news the event has sold out (should make for an excellent atmosphere), but I think you are right, I can see a lot of people turning up on Saturday and Sunday expecting to get in without tickets. Agreed. I think that will mostly come from the younger crowd who cosplay or those who come across the adverts in newspapers. In fact, will Showmasters still pay for advertisements with just Friday available?
  11. Thanks. The post is a little confusing to me as there are several questions kind of mixed into each other. I would imagine - stress the personal *guess* part - that the orders are processed in the order the system registers them as completed. That is the only thing that makes sense. There's been tons of orders coming through in the first couple of minutes. Some people seemed to have expected the announcement going by the guessing thread. The regular photoshoots went through 2 batches before I had even managed to call a friend of mine on the cell phone. Thanks. Yeah, agreed, I think most expected who was going to be announced or they just didn't hesitate to put in an order. I received '001' for Robert Englund's pass which was ordered within 3 minutes of the announcement. That was on the old ticketing system, so I'm not sure if procedures (in the way DPs are shipped) have changed since moving to Eventbrite.
  12. Or the "Why didn't you notify me sooner? I get paid by the end of the week and I was saving up to buy one." Well they have notified us so there should be no arguments. This was something that wasn't done when Saturday sold out, so please don't post such cheeky digs
  13. Nope, I would rather the event be buzzing with the sounds of nerd-joy than having tumbleweeds rolling across the con floor. Plus, more opportunity to meet other like-minded fans if there are more people there! Totally agree. There's nothing worse than seeing empty spaces and guests just sitting there twiddling their thumbs. This is a new era for London Film and Comic Con.
  14. The passes are called in groups just like the VQ tickets. The batch assignment means you're getting your autograph either on Friday or Saturday if it's MJF. The batches of 100 are confirmed for the photoshoots. I don't know how the batch assignment for the Diamond Passes works. QS, I think they mean whether the tickets are processed in the order they come in? i.e. first to make the payment would get '001' etc.. Boggle stated that they paid for their Diamond Pass as soon as it went live but had received number 100. I do remember it was mentioned a while back that these Diamond Passes would be mailed out in the order of payments received but I don't know if they have changed it now. Hopefully not.
  15. Why have you removed the number? There's no way it would put your pass at risk because it's not a serial or confirmation code. It's just a number from 001 to how many were sold. Agreed, but just in case. Does it matter? Not at all, you do what makes you feel comfortable ;-) There's a hologram attached to prevent such fraud.

  17. This ^^ Always best to have it written down. There has been a couple times where a guest has asked me what their character name was in the film and/or how it is spelt. If the queues are too long then you might not get what you're requesting. My recommendation is to approach this in the afternoon when guests are more likely to be less busy.
  18. For those who bought a Gold Pass, did you not read the description on the Eventbrite website?
  19. It was always known that Diamond Pass holders will take priority over Gold. They never said that Gold Passes guaranteed you to get an autograph. The only thing that has been newly clarified is that Gold passes have the same priority as normal entry ticket holders - i.e VT tickets.
