I hope to see it turn into something like the New York Comic Con where it attracts much bigger guests like Sylvester Stallone, Sigourney Weaver, David Duchovny etc..

Almost died when heard George A Romero was coming, looking forward to meeting him. Hopefully we will get more

I was very surprised to see his name be announced since I thought he was retiring from con appearances.
I've already met him 4 times and I can't recommend meeting him enough. I'll be sure to purchase a photoshoot ticket and a couple autographs :)
The question I'm now asking myself, 'what do I get signed?'. So many great film choices. Just wish the Day Of The Dead steelbook was released in time.

....this is when Kevin Smith will be announced

SM was testing the waters today and thought, "ahh, we'll move forward George Romero's announcement to today since everyone is expecting Kevin Smith" J/K

It's a shame that the exclusive Day Of The Dead bluray steelbook from zavvi comes out the following Monday. That would have been great to get that one signed.

38 Days to go and didn't we promise a legendary guest announcement today?
All will be revealed at 7pm in the LFCC forum and I can say of all the guesses.... so many many guesses... our legendary behind the camera guest's name has been said, you are all very good - you just have to work out which of the many guesses is the right one now!! :)
We do love guests, and we love announcing guests even more and tomorrow we have an epic guest announcement to make, this guest is going to be huge... watch this space!
It has to be Kevin Smith, I called it first!!

Haha, the picture of Freddy Krueger above made me chuckle; using his claws as a guitar plectrum

I'm expecting (hopefully) the the guy in the Xenomorph costume to be making appearance

Good luck to those who are entering.

I'm going to gamble all my dosh and say it will be Kevin Smith!
With Jason Mewes already in attendance and both of them are already in the UK on tour in June / July - it's very certain it will be Kevin Smith.
Kevin Smith is known for his role as Silent Bob, however, he is more famous for being behind the camera; directing, producing, and being a comic book writer.
If I'm right I should bag a free autograph

Maybe it's someone from the film Legend?

.png)
Tim Curry!! - Yes....
I was about to throw TIm Curry's name out there too.

I've noticed he's done some private signings this year, I hope he's well enough to attend a public event :)
Legend is seriously one of my top movies and his 'Darkness' character is a true inspiration to my special FX work.
Or Sigourney Weaver, that would be something special!

Agreed, but with that said, there are so many guests across all genres.
For example, although Michael Madsen isn't technically a 'horror' guest, I'll be getting him on my Species item.
Even the Starship Troopers guests is great for me - I'm still hoping for more guests from that film and a group photoshoot in costume

But I get what you mean, I would love to see more iconic horror guests. I'm waiting for guests like Brad Dourif, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins, Gunnar Hansen, Sigourney Weaver, Linnea Quigley, Tom Savini, Linda Blair, and Bruce Campbell (list goes on and on)...

By the way if you like Troll 2 there's a terrific documentary about it called Best Worst Movie
Agreed. Great documentary. I also highly recommend their next documentary that was released last year called The American Scream - about families building homemade haunted house attractions.
There are many 'So bad it's good!' films out there.. a selection that comes to mind:
Rabid Grannies (1988)
Flesh Eating Mothers (1989)
The Burning Moon (1997)
Basket Case 3 - The Progeny (1991)
The Video Dead (1987)
The Gingerdead Man (2005)
Breeders (1986)
My Mom's A Werewolf (1988)
Ghoulies 2 (1988)
Jack Frost (1997)

He's always a blast to meet; very funny and friendly.
With that said, he was quite distracted and tired towards the end on Sunday - which is understandable, however, it took a good couple minutes to get his attention whilst he was talking to a crew member.
Apparently he only had 2.5 hours sleep the night before 0__o
He signed my Candyman poster but it felt it was a little more on the 'scruffy' side. Never the less, he was great to chat to and he happily posed for a photo with me.
Next time I'll plan to go first thing on a friday or saturday...

I have a question.
I have a photoshoot with Giancarlo Esposito and I'm now thinking I want to 2 copies of the same photograph; 1 for him to sign afterwards and the other left untouched.
Can this be arranged? How much extra would it cost?
Thanks

Did anyone else see the steam punk girl at Kane's photoshoot that hugged him for her photo and wouldn't let go once she was done. It was so funny. I was next in the queue and I said to him, "Don't worry I won't ask for a hug." He replied, "Don't worry, you're not gonna get one." Very nice guy and friendly to all those I saw him with, both at the shoot and at his table.
Did he choke anyone?

How do you see LFCC in the future?
in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Posted
I remember last year (I think) that Showmasters announced that important people from big studios were visiting London Comic Con to see how successful it would be to promote their products, i.e. film panel discussions, special appearances etc..
This year is more than twice as big and I can see this opening the doors further for big studios to give us what we always hope for.
It's quite exciting to see how Showmasters will evolve from here onwards; they've achieved so much over the years :)
