  1. I presume the freshly caught human will be the first person to ask where the schedule or floorplan are
  2. You can dress in whatever costume you like, but I would imagine that any CosPlay contests may be limited to theme specific costumes Also, everyone at the convention could claim to be in a Bakula Quantum Leap cosplay
  3. If you are entering the con together, you can have both tickets on one phone and just scroll across to scan each barcode.
  4. There will be free guest talks available on the Voyager stage and free fan led talks on the Excelsior stage Only major talks / panels on the Enterprise stage are paid for As StuartG says, look at what's included in the packages. I've attended all three previous events with a package (1 gold and 2 platinum) and found them decent value and extremely useful for quick entry and talk / photoshoot access. Never underestimate the value of saving time.
  5. RoryMcGarrett With respect to the younger stars / guests (or any of them), it might be worth considering just how daunting a prospect it is to sit in a room and have people coming up to you who's entire knowledge of you is based on a single character or performance, and trying to ensure that you meet whatever expectation they may have. As such, it may be a little unfair to compare them to long experienced convention guests, roughly equivalent to wondering why the guy making his league debut doesn't look quite as confident or polished as the guy who's played for 10 years. It's also worth considering that they may have been just having a bad moment, like we all do from time to time.
  6. Hello, and welcome 1) Kensington (Olympia) on Underground and Overground lines, though there are a number of hotels within 15-20 minutes walking distance, which are more expensive but are also much more convenient (also for access to London in general) 2) Length of queues depends on the day and the guest - Saturday is normally the busiest day, but if you're there for all days, you can usually get stuff done a lot easier. But Showmasters are well experienced at handling the queues inside and they tend to move people through photoshoots, autographs etc. pretty quickly. Also, entry queues move much faster with the electronic tickets. 3) Yes, with an additional gap for a lunch break 4) Can be anytime, including up to the day of the event itself, depends on contracts being signed. 5) Can depend on the guest, but generally if the prop is related to their roles or is something you would be happy to be handed yourself by a random person, you should be fine. For poses, generally ok but can depend on how the guest feels on the day itself. There are also FAQs and posts in the General section of the forum, which may address any other questions you may have Enjoy
  7. If there is a schedulling clash between the two photoshoots, go to the one that starts (or ends) first, talk to the crew there and show them your ticket for the other shoot. They will get you through as quickly as possible to get you to the other shoot. Also, normally only the first part of double shoots get scheduled for the early bird opening time. Single shoots will usually be after general opening, but this cannot be guaranteed.
  8. You should try and get thingy, from that show In the house And the guy with the ears Or the girl with the hair, though she could be expensive! Oh, and anyone from that show with the cat in it. That was awesome!!
  9. If your hotel was booked as non-refundable, it is always worth asking if you can move it to a hotel in the same chain closer to or in Brighton, if they have one. Can sometimes be done, for a smallish fee. Can also be possible for train tickets to be moved.
  10. Patton Oswalt Joseph Gordon-Levitt Julia Stiles Allison Scagliotti Saul Rubinek Felicia Day Mark Sheppard Ashley Clements Mary Kate Wiles Missi Pyle Maisie Williams
  11. Isn't there a floorplan and schedule yet? **tries to hide from QS and TooTall**
  12. Yes, 5 seconds does make a huge difference. For a busy guest with a constant queue, an extra 5 seconds each could halve the number of people who could get an autograph.
  13. Much power to all for generating so many electrical puns in such a short time.
  14. Just as funny as hearing people complain because they've missed the tube and have to wait a whole 2 or 3 minutes for the next one
  15. From TooTall's numbers at the start of this thread, Batch 3 for Neve may possibly be part of the first shoot anyway. In any case, go to the photo shoot area and talk to the pit boss (in red) and they will see what they can do to help.
  16. From TooTalls numbers at the start of this thread, your batch will probably be part of the Christopher Lloyd 2 shoot (currently around 17:05 at time of writing)
  17. Any company has the right to choose for themselves what form of payment they accept, including not accepting specific types of notes or coins. For example, I don't think anyone would be impressed if someone tried to pay for an expensive auto with pound coins. That might cause a bit of a delay in the line. 😀 And pound coins really are legal tender.
  18. I give you fair warning Spacecadet, I'll be bringing my rhythm stick down with me from Lancaster, and I'm quite the lunatic
  19. I would imagine one good reason for not listing a price in advance is to avoid getting responses like: If its £XXX it can't be Y, cos he / she isnt worth that Particularly if Y happens to be correct, then reads the posts and decides actually they'd rather not come at all, thanks. Also, I am somewhat amused by people stating they can't afford to pay significant sums (e.g. £300) at no notice because they need a week to get that kind of money together or transferred from their other accounts. (First World Problems) (Just a personal observation)
  20. There's always the Special Screening with a Lead Guest.... Oh, hey, what's that line doing waaaaayyyy back there...
  21. If someone tried to pay for lots of photo-shoots and autographs entirely with wads of Scottish £5 notes, would it cause some kind of cataclysmic annihilation event which would end the universe?
  22. As a useful point to keep in mind, any company or individual is allowed to decide for themselves what they will accept for payment for things to be provided, be it entry to a show, photo-shoot, loaf of bread etc, This means that regardless of the actual definition and purpose of 'legal tender' (which is always useful to know when arguing with a picky person like me ) they can refuse to accept Scottish notes, £50 notes etc if they choose to and you cannot insist that they accept them.
  23. The short answer is Because we enjoy it and it gets us out of the house from time to time.
  24. It can be either, but in general if you pay now you can get a cheaper rate but won't be able to make any changes.
