While it's not breaking the rules, there is a difference between getting an extra autograph for a friend and inviting random people to take up your 'spare' slots. It's worth remembering that every extra autograph you get signed is probably one less VQ who gets the chance so it doesn't seem fair to me to allow people to effectively jump the queue ahead of those with VQs without buying a diamond pass themselves.

Scottie Just to clarify it's normally OK to ask for an over the table photo once you have already paid for an autograph, unless signs are up stating they are not permitted. I can't remember anyone allowing these if you haven't paid for anything.

A couple of points to keep in mind: 1) The rules can be different for different guests, or can change throughout the convention which can sometimes lead to the odd mistake or apparent change of mind 2) The ones who knew the red shirts were probably crew working the event who would need to get through the line and back to their job, or helpers who get access to some autograph lines without a VQ as a perk.

There are other CosPlay activities throughout the day, particularly the Masquerade near the end of the day, which also need to be accounted for when planning the schedule.

No. Entry tickets are entry to the show, they are not related to specific guests. Entry tickets are only refunded if the whole whow is cancelled. Unfortunately this is true. Personally I think it's a bad policy that needs review but it stands for now. Standard condition for any event of this type. For example, you don't get a refund for a theatre ticket if an actor is replaced by an understudy, or a sports match if a particular player isn't playing.

If you have a YALC ticket you probably won't be able to pick up your diamond pass on Saturday until you are allowed access to LFCC as you wouldn't be allowed in the standard entrance that early.

If you're after a specific guest, just make sure they are attending on the day you are coming. Not all guests attend every day.
