It's been a long time since I attended a convention. At that one, you paid your ticket price to get in and everything else was included (attending talks in the hall, getting autographs, parties, TV and film screenings etc.) All you paid for was what you bought - a photo to be autographed, etc. I'm struggling to make out exactly what is included in the cost of entry to this convention. Does one have to purchase an extra ticket in order to hear any of the guests speak? I'm indifferent to autographs but would have thought that entrance must surely actually include something - otherwise, does an entrance ticket just let you wander around the corridors and dealers' hall?
