Morning all. Interested on everyone's opinions on the awards last night. I for one liked MOONLIGHT but did not enjoy as much as others on the list. I loved LA LA LAND, was moved by LION, was absorbed by FENCES and was really impressed by MANCHESTER BY THE SEA. In agreement with Viola Davis and Casey Affleck both deserving their awards. I would like to have seen Dev Patel pick up best supporting actor though.

I hate to disappoint anyone mentioning FRIDAY THE 13TH but unfortunately it has been pulled :-( I had really high hopes for this one too.

HATCHET 2 and 3 for me. Also THE CONJURING 2 and OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL were both far better than their previous movies.

As sickkgirl mentioned, it is awesome that we have a Diary of the Dead star. A new DVD to get signed :) Although that pic above would make a great 10x8.

I have a small horror collection of Funko's all in their boxes but after seeing some of the pics on here of figures out their boxes, I am tempted to follow! They look great out of the box I must say.

I have only been to one weekend event and I absolutely loved it. I think it really brings a stronger bond together for attendees. Great way of making new friends with people who are interested in the same things you are.

I got the Simon Mayo/Mark Kermode book which is awesome and a big box of Lindor! I gave a Pug pillow and Pug notebook. Yup, she loves Pugs.

Loved T2, was really well done and the nods back to the original really gave a great nostalgic feeling. I am still waiting for the years first great horror film. Still trying to work out if A CURE FOR WELLNESS will be horror or not. The trailers say yes in multiple ways but other factors are saying no. Nonetheless it looks a great thriller that I can't wait to see. LA LA LAND and LION are my two favorite cinema trips so far in 2017. From a DVD point of view, I have been all over BLOOD AND BLACK LACE recently. Another stunning job by Arrow.

Only cinema experience of the year so far has been MANCHESTER BY THE SEA and I gave it a top notch five stars. For such a long film, it really did know how to absorb you and I would be shocked if this does not win and Oscar or two. Off to see LA LA LAND on Wednesday with visits also planned for T2, PREVENGE and SPLIT for this month. I have a feeling this year is going to be excellent for movies all around. MOONLIGHT and FENCES will keep me at the cinema in Feb! In regard to the ones not at the cinema then I generally watch cult/horror movies. Highlights this month have been RATS - NIGHT OF TERROR and NIGHT SHIFT.

Great idea. I have met Shauna a couple of times and she is one of the most fan friendly stars I have come across. I cannot imagine her charging for her autograph though which is only negative. Group photoshoot would be awesome.

Damn! One of my dream guests! What a coup for Newcastle. If I was not getting married in May I would get myself up there. Hopefully fingers crossed we may see him in London or Collectormania at some other time.
