Hi everyone, I have also booked at IBIS as well... I used booking.com and paid 399GBP for 5 nights (As I will be travelling from Turkey, I tought it would be better if I can stay in London few days more.) The rate does not include breakfast and according to the maps its is just a walking distance from Excel. For the one who didn't arranged their accommodation, most of the hotels in the area are either sold-out or few rooms are left-out. Better be quick because the rates for the prices go higher to 700GBP for these dates (according to the booking.com)

Hi Craig, Unfortunately my wife is a non-trekker and she is not attending the once-in-a-lifetime event. I was really hoping that she would come and share the experience. I feel that the reason that she doesn't want to come is similar to your concerns... Anyway, when she comes to the Excel, she will see that we are not those kinds of nerds. (at least not all of us) Hope to meet you there...

Hi everyone... Although I am not from Netherlands, I am working with people from NL (at the Netherlands Institute for Higher Education)... (I don't know if it counts or not ) As far as I understood from some experienced "coners", it seems that it is better to book hotel near excel but the thing is it seems that most of them has been filled already or 1-2 rooms left out... So the ones who didn't arranged their accommodations, better be quick. I would be happy to meet you guys there. I bought my gold pass last month and will be there all 3 days.

Hi everyone, I've been reading the topics at the forum and it really seems to be a huge event... I bought my gold pass and will buy photo shots with the captains but I need some advices from fellow fans. I saw that there will be several events and activities during those 3days but I really would like to learn from the experienced attendees... Ok. As I have said I bought my gold pass but does it enough? I am going to buy photoshots with the captains but which date should we choose? Is there anything else I should arrange or I should have before the event? Are there any events that I MUST see? What to expect at the party? ... The main thing is it will be my first convention and I will be coming from Turkey for this event and actually I really don't want to miss anything... I really would appreciate any advices you can give... Thanks and hope to meet you there...
