I'll be honest I've not seen anything about platinum tickets (or any ticket type for that matter) having priority in phoot shoot queues. Thanks TT. You and the other moderators are doing a great job. It is much appreciated. I hope SM will have some response for Platinum ticket holders soon to assuage the buyers remorse that I am (and others are) feeling.

I belive you will both need a ticket for it. Hi - Will this also apply if I have my 7yr old daugther with me or will we require seperate tickets for 2 photo's? I'm afraid you will need two tickets. At our other events its only babe's in arms are free. I'd certainly say if they are old enough to need an entry ticket i.e. not under 4 then they will need a photo tickets to be in the shot. Officially no as they are day specific and are non-refundable BUT saying that we have sorted this kind of thing out for people in the past. So if it does happen do go to the organisers booth and ask if they can help. Thanks TT. One more question. I have purchased a platinum ticket, will that help me in the queues for Photos?

I booked all of my Captain's photoshoot tickets for Friday, thinking I would just get them all done on the first day. I'm wondering if I will have a problem doing that because of scheduling constraints? If I can't get them all done, can I change the days?

I would hope that Platinum ticket holders don't have to pay for any Photos for Autos included in the ticket price. So that would be the 5 captains and 2 other guests. If photos cost 5 pounds each, as has been suggested, that would be a savings of 35 pounds which would be a little, baby-step toward differentiating between gold and platinum tickets.

You can afford the £3000 VIP ticket but not the additional £1.6 booking fee? I was always taught, look after the pennys and save the pounds!!!!!! Also, I just booked my hotel, was going to stay in the Premier which I note is 'behind' the excel centre. For two of us, with one breakfast with a queen bed came to £190. At the novotel, which is at the front of the centre, 4* and breakfast i got for £209 all in. Just a heads up if anyone was wondering. I imagine hotels will get pretty busy tomorrow when the general sales goes up I made the switch from Premier to NoVotel too. I like the quality and location upgrade for such a minimal difference in price. Would be pretty cool if one of the parties is hosted there.

A lot of people are staying at the Premier Inn, Travelodge or Crown Plaza. I prefer a full service hotel so I'll be at the Hilton. There's a Novotel at the site which is a bit more upscale and full service. Failing that, why not pamper yourself at the Four Seasons Canary Wharf Remember that the DLR to the ExCel is NOT running on Sat or Sun. So if your hotel is not on site you will either have to walk or try to get on a bus with the thousands of others or get a very expensive taxi. I found that out after I booked my hotel but I don't think it's a big problem. I just booked a room (with breakfast) from the 19th to the 22nd at the Novotel for 290 pounds. That's only 30 pounds more than the Premier Inn. And from what I can tell online the Novotel looks nicer. It was a non-refundable fare though.

I'm with Leetrekie on this one. Maybe priority queuing for photoshoots for platinum? Also, from what I can tell Gold gets pretty much guaranteed captains autos too. They just need to buy the auto tickets separately (which I guess could be a bit of a hassle, but is it worth 600pounds).

Everything that is included is listed on the website. The only photo that Platinum has included is the Bridge Shot. Ok. THanks QS.

Photo shoots will be available for any level of ticket holder. Hi Everyone, I just got on the forum and think it's great that there is so much information here. I will be flying to London from Vietnam for the event and am very excited about it (it will be my first!). As I will be coming from so far away, I want to be guaranteed meeting the captains and also getting a picture with them. Will photos be included in the platinum ticket? I know it's not listed on the website, but it seems to be so much more expensive than the gold package. So was wondering...?
