  1. Or hopefully they'll be handed to you in the Gold Pass queue outside This would be an excellent plan as it didn't happen at CM19 and we were the last people inside the venue even with a Gold pass! On Saturday we weren't the last people inside the venue but we ceratinly should have gone in earlier. There were about 3 Gold Pass Holders in front of us in the queue and we went in at 9. There was a spam up as we should have been let in before 9. Jason apologised for this on Sunday morning and we were let in around 850 as he explained should have happened the day before. The bands were handed out outside as a time saver and told to collect your packs in the afternoon. This worked fine and I expect this to take place at all event going forward. Jonathan you were lucky - it was the last 5 of us in the gold pass queue that were left as they didn't bring out a bough wrist bands! But definitely picking up packs later was excellent, and the SM crew were really helpful letting us skip the queue for buying photoshoots that we didn't get in advance (Billie) as it wasn't our fault. It was a bit crazy though!
  2. Brilliant! What about talk tickets? Will we be able to pick up the ones we want during the Friday preview? Or on each morning? Thanks Jason :)

  4. Initially I was really irritated as the gold pass queue actually started getting let in AFTER the normal queue. We were actually the last people (bar 2) inside and then had to wait as they'd run out of information sheets. This meant we were told we had to go to the back of the photoshoot queue! Which was mammoth. (We did buy tickets in advance but couldn't get online to get Billie's in the short online turn around before the shop closed). Anyhow; I thought this was going be a disaster therefore and was unhappy at having paid for the gold pass only to stand in a massive queue etc. BUT the helpful lady behind the desk sorted us out; we got to leave the stupidly long queue (which really should be away from the main entrance as an idea) AND we had an awesome day so no harm done - brilliant! John Rhys-Davies was fabulous - I got a huge hug, and the stag were lovely and polite and helpful all day. Fabulous. So, overall EXCELLENT but maybe the gold wristbands could go out in advance or be given out before the queue moves in and be let in first? I have one for LFCC too and I'm worried the same thing will happen! Other than that - great stuff! Looking forward to tomorrow
  5. I'll prob wear one of my Star Trek Uniforms :) Might get something different for one of the days!
  6. My top 10: 1. Avery Brooks coming back just for me after I hadn't heard about the photo shoot time changing. Had a chat and a huge hug! 2. William Shatner Bridge photo - that is priceless to me 3. World record 4. Eddie Paskey - he is adorable - please can we have him at something again? I missed getting a photo with him I'd love to hear a talk about his days on set 5. John Barrowman :) 6. The dodgems. I know it was ridiculous, but we had fun anyway! 7. Helpfulness of the crew sorting my clashes out wonderfully 8. I loved William Shatner saying Patrick Stewart was a great guy too. 9. Seeing so many cosplayers - would be good to have more! 10. Meeting so many Star Trek fans and feeling part of something bigger than I am. Amazing!
  7. I had HUGE clashes all weekend but the Showmasters crew were BRILLIANT at sorting them out. Either the pit bosses directly or the info desk were super super helpful. They re-arranged everything, changed my allocated talks and photoshoots as well as even going back to get Avery Brooks when the time of his photoshoot changed - I had a lovely 2 min talk with him and he's giving me a huge hug in the photo. I know it was crazy if you were trying to do loads, but I am so surprised that other people missed things when the staff there were super helpful and able to fix my clashes for loads of photoshoots and the 5 talks. TNG party was weak BUT I have an awesome video of the dodgems with you Jason will post on Facebook!!!
  8. You are technically only queuing once your no has been called and you're inside the photo area. Crew can't be held responsible for people's actions outside of that. They try their best, but 99% of the time people do not listen and hang around blocking the entrance even when they shouldn't. Unfortunately that's not what happened - I was at that one and they didn't call numbers at all. The pit boss was utterly confused and at one point said to me and a few others who had v low ticket numbers 'I don't know what to do I'm giving up' and walked away. He let those of us with numbers 1-100 in a side door but that annoyed everyone else more (understandably!). It was at least an hour's queue and a shambles. Only prob I had with queuing though!
  9. Just bought my Gold Programme for this and for Collectormania 19. Can't be bothered with queues! Hope we get some awesome guests - Jonathan Frakes PLEASE!
  10. Overall I really enjoyed myself. I bought a Gold pass and, although there were things that could have been better the SHowmasters staff were unbelieveably helpful (apart from one volunteer at a photo session) in helping me with my horrific clashes. I had totally over anticipated what I could get done and bought photos with nearly everyone! The showmasters staff were superb in helping me get through all but three which they were wonderful enough to refund since the clashes had reached a ridiculous point. My criticisms are: 1. Gold pass talks could have been allocated on ONE day so you knew not to buy photo tickets for that day - this caused a LOT of problems with clashes for a good number of us 2. The parties really were rubbish! Very very expensive drinks. Dodgems? what was TNG about that? BUT I loved JG and Robert's band - I've wanted to see them for ages. I wish I could have heard them more clearly but the acoustics in that big hall were awful. The themes seemed like an add on rather than an idea to inspire creative parties 3. The photo queues could have been much easier with a) lines on the ground for numbers 1-49, 50-99, 100-149 etc that you could stand in and see if there were too many people before you an LED number sign OR EVEN c) a Megaphone! Honestly the acoustics in the Excel were a nightmare. 4. The Gold Goodie bag and the stunt show were awful! 5. I don't necessarily have a problem paying for photos to be signed. I do have a problem when there is a scrum to buy them at the one photo desk and then the staff there don't know any of the actors names (real or character!). That was making life very hard for some folk! Huge positives: 1. William Shatner Bridge photo shoot - this made my weekend I am so happy! 2. The extraordinary help from the staff - Rescheduling me, sorting out a necessary Q jump and they even went back to get Avery Brooks for me because the time had changed for his photo shoot and I didn't know 3. The Captain's talks were excellent (although tiered seating maybe) 4. The free autographs in my gold pass - what an unexpected pleasure meeting Bobby Clarke and Eddie Paskey 5. World record :) 6. The stars being so friendly and awesome all weekend - I got every autograph and wanted and most pictures. I was totally blown away by the number of guests. (would like TNG main cast next time please ). Such respect for these guys signing and getting photos - such a long time for them! 7. John Barrowman! 8. Meeting loads of cool Trekkies 9. JG and Robert's band - and costumed photo shoot! 10. Sitting in the Captain's chair on the Enterprise - Enterprise D next year please! Overall, positives massively outweigh the negatives for me. The negatives were not bad enough to make me regret coming, paying what I paid or make me angry. Yeah, a few things could have been better (seriously the parties and goodie bags ) but overall PHENOMENAL. Huge well done to Showmasters for the organisation of 17,000 people. Jo JG and Robert so good!
  11. I don't think this has been answered: A Q about the randomly assigned autographs: Not a prob really as I have none in my collection so far (!) but me and my husband both have gold tickets. Is there a way to guarantee we get allocated 6 DIFFERENT autographs? i.e. the six for one of our gold tickets being different to the 6 for the other? Thanks! Jo
  12. Mark, I did receive such an email. The full text is: Dear Joanna, Apologies for the delay in responding, we have had quite a few enquiries to get through since the website went live! There was some confusion on the wording on our in person autographs and this has now been amended to be a lot clearer - in recognition of this we have offered the opportunity for a refund if it was felt we had mis-sold this for not being clear enough on the matter. To confirm, the in person autographs will be assigned by the organiser - these will contain some autographs that will not be available to non-package ticket holders as I understand it so hopefully as we get closer to the event and know which guests these involve you will find it's a good option. Let me know if you would like to proceed, as we fully appreciate the confusion this issue has caused and can only apologise for not being clearer at launch. many thanks, Jill Destination Star Trek London As you can see there is a clear statement that it will 'contain some autographs that will not be available to non-package ticket holders'. Thanks for clearing it up though! Jo First, this is not true so please do not worry about it. Second, if anyone has actually had such an e-mail could they please let me know where it has come from so I can put a stop to the mis-information! Thanks Mark A Q about the randomly assigned autographs: Not a prob really as I have none in my collection so far (!) but me and my husband both have gold tickets.
