We think comparing ANYTHING to last year is pretty unfair, seeing as there was Stan Lee and his posse during the elongated friday, full saturday & sunday. We're PRETTY sure nothing will beat the crowds Stan drew last year, but a big gathering of other big guests may clog up the days just as much, it's just impossible to tell, really. Also, seeing as the "all-day friday" is something new AND the venue is different than last year, no way to predict how the crowd is going to react. Would be funny if everyone would start avoiding the Saturday because of last year & Sunday would turn out to be the busiest day, though just our two cents

7 is actually still more than the "usual avarage" for weekend cons like this (ususally between 4-6 guests) - you don't pay a ticket for the guests, you pay it for the event

LOL, you could do yourself a little neve-themed photo comic strip with that amount haha (just change poses minimally after every click & make your own story out of it )

The bank done that last night to me!!! but the money seems to be pending in my account, just not taken out yet. Hope all goes well for everyone else waiting nervously you should be fine if you just give them a ring and tell them it's actually you who made the transaction :) we've had it happen to us when we booked a flight to the states once (and found out roughly 10 days prior to departing...) just called back&forth a bit and it was fine :)

We don' know which ticket you got, but depending on the charge, it might be possible that your Credit Card provider flagged it a fraudulent transaction because the amount is beyond the norm of what you would normally spend, so you could also call your cc provider directly to double-check whether that hasn't happened. If it did, you can just clear it with them and you should be fine

haha, yup! We remember October's LFCC had 3 or 4 new groupshot slots added 24 hours before event opening, that was exciting (and fun!) in a this-heart-attack-will-kill-me sort of way

syfy's ascension starts airing on SKY1 January 16, so it would be nice to have some guests from that show

usually it's the golds & silvers that tend to be problematic on overly glossy photos, blues, greens, reds & blacks are generally fine

we do both, actually. We use 10x8 that we generally have personalised but then when we use scripts or mounts for group siggies, we don't have them personalized. (we do usually have it personalised to "twinzz", we also sometimes have 1 8x10 personalized and not the other one) quotes, we usually say "fly free and what you wanna write" and then we generally get some pretty good stuff

yup, probably the material that Sharpie might have an issue sticking to for some reason sometimes, overly glossy paper might has (and this is what we call it) a very low stick ratio, meaning it just.won't.dry! only ever had this problem... once but noticed it on-site and could just have a new siggy done for no extra charge (this was in 06, no SM/ME-)

we generally use 10x8s..if there's something show-specific, we'll use a "filler script" from the show we want (which we've used for Buffy), for Battlestar, we're using a giant mount from the Last Supper photoshoot,... pretty much anything but DVD covers as we know they have a tendency to get folded or lost in our possession

last year tickets went online like .. 3 weeks after the event? there's a lot of SM/ME events going on over the next couple of weeks so we're counting on about the same time* *we're not sure, mind you*
