I'm not the seller, just highlighting how some people are already looking to fleece people. Sorry I meant the opening post rather than yours How on earth is my post an advert? the link is to a page with a picture on it, no prices or ability to buy the toy on that page. Ah cool, so am I ok to link to other products from other websites that I think people might like? -

No advertising on the forum I'm afraid. I hope a mod removes soon -
First con and have a question..

Glau and Romero should easily be your busiest two guests. I actually think Glau might be busier -
Should have expected that! Ok here is another one - do you need tickets for the free talks? If so can you only get these at the event itself?

Same weekend as the World Cup Final
Gordon The Gopher replied to Daniel's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
The liklihood is that you are are correct and due to the timing of the final, it won't make any difference. It would however make a difference should England make the final, it would be an all day/weekend event -
Something I have always wondered, how come there is a guest suggestion thread for every SM event in every sub forum every year - I'm not sure why there isn't just one thread or section? It makes no sense, surely someone doesn't think "Oh I really want Norman Reedus at MK but not at London" ? Saves people churning the same names over in every thread. I suspect SM will have a database or list populated with all suggestions anyway

How do you see LFCC in the future?
Gordon The Gopher replied to mflowers's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Is it cool to mention other companies comic cons in this thread then seeing as NY and San Diego are mentioned?? I thought strict forum rules prevented this? Alot of SDCC bashing on here, its a totally different type of event from the Showmasters ones. SDCC is the number one CC in the world with good reason, its much much more than guest signings. In fact guest signings are way down the list of 'priorities' that the event takes. Tickets sell out within a day I believe and it is mega popular with good reason. 2 different companies producing 2 different type of events and both doing a good job. Room for both in my opinion and if LFCC gradually turns into something like SDCC then it is only a good thing in my opinion. -
Same weekend as the World Cup Final
Gordon The Gopher replied to Daniel's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
I think there are a number of people being quite ignorant about the football here. Yes there will be a big portion of the audience of LFCC who won't be interested in the football and yes it is unlikely England will make the final.......... however.....should England make the final, of course it would have an impact on numbers. It's ludicrous to say it wouldn't. It is the number one sport in the country, they haven't made a final for nearly 50 years (its coming up to 20 years since they even made a semi final). If they miracoulsy made the final, the media hype would be in over-drive the whole week leading up to it, there would be parties everywhere, special events, pubs would be packed out, even non football fans would end up watching such an occasion. I suspect a number of the UK based guests would be keen to be involved and possibly cancel the sunday to join in the festivities. Whether you love football or can't stand it, to say numbers wouldn't be affected by England making the final is utter garbage. That said, the chances of it happening aren't overly high so a calculated risk by Showmasters -
Is there a certain time you have to collect your prize by or is it a case that as long as you collect it by the end of the day then it's fine? I'm just remembering that Jason said the majority of people are only there for a couple of hours a day and this year people will be in different halls etc. Maybe post the winning numbers in a topic on here as well so people can check them whilst out and about

Probably best that nobody mentions specific guest names as the mods can be funny about that on here. So with that in mind has anyone really been left disappointed by a guest? What happened etc

What a shock -
I think people need to take these threads with a pinch of salt and just go with the flow. I know some people get excited at the prospect of it being one of their heroes but some people sound like they are putting their health at risk with anticipation and waiting around. The utter seethe and disappointment when Jett Lucas was announced was great reading. The place was in meltdown. Just relax and enjoy the fun people. Life is too short to be getting angry/disappointed/agitated at a guest announcement.
