Any guests announced at this weekends con?
Gordon The Gopher replied to chrisrus's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
There was nothing official announced I don't think that I saw around the arena but the showmasters staff mentioned stuff that I haven't seen yet elsewhere on forum so not sure? A big cast reunion is planned? Also some booked diamond guests but they certainly haven't been announced on here yet because the forum would have exploded so ill keep hush about that for now -
What a difference from summer.
Gordon The Gopher replied to Dannycarroll2007's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
Yeah too quiet and by far quietest London show ever for a Saturday. I'm going today and think it will be even quieter. Alot of guests won't like it being this quiet and showmasters I suspect wont either. -

Scottish bank notes questioned
Gordon The Gopher replied to snedders's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
I accept the argument that English people may have never seen a Scottish note before however anyone working with cash for showmasters should be trained as to what is and what isn't acceptable currency. If you start a job in retail they would train you and let you know that 'this is sterling and acceptable, we don't accept Euros etc etc' If Showmasters aren't training their cash handlers on what is and isn't acceptable currency then that's just laziness or poor management. No excuses -
Next Month - So soon!
Gordon The Gopher replied to _ItsWilliam_'s topic in Collectormania Glasgow 2014
I just phoned Braehead Arena to confirm a couple of details and they said they didn't have any confirmation of an event being on that weekend? I told them it was Collectormania and they said they had been in touch but nothing was booked or confirmed Is the event possibly being moved? -

TrailerFest
Gordon The Gopher replied to Gordon The Gopher's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Thanks to those who are also sticking up for it. As said it was entirely possible they could have got a trailer for a really big film, or lots of indie trailers. I also expected many trailers for TV shows. A whole host of new US shows are starting in Sept. Also could have had new doctor who trailer or Downton Abbey or any other popular British dramas -
TrailerFest
Gordon The Gopher replied to Gordon The Gopher's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
I'm not sure why I have to justify why a certain part of the show was a major draw for me? Everyone is different and has different reasons for going to a convention, im sorry if you can't understand that -
TrailerFest
Gordon The Gopher replied to Gordon The Gopher's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Perhaps I'm passionate about trailers and upcoming films? I'm not into getting autographs but I wouldn't come on and say "why are you spending all that time and money for a squiggle on a piece of paper" Lots of people attend conventions for all sorts of reasons - this was my main one -

Who was the dealer…
Gordon The Gopher replied to Gmorris2504's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Anyone know who the dealer was that was doing the tv and film scripts? They were very cool -
I'm going to create a separate topic later that details every single problem that someone has raised. The post will be edited and kept up to date with links to various other threads where need be. I'll go back to Saturday posts and capture them all to date (or whatever hasn't been deleted) It will be more of a reference point than a discussion topic. Helps track them all too

What would you like to see?
Gordon The Gopher replied to twinzz's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
It was announced that it was going to be in Olympia next year - is that a bigger venue than Earls Court? -

The girl on Saturday that was the double of Natalie Dormer. I genuinely had to take a second look. Such a babe! -
TrailerFest

Transformers 4 - which is already released? What on earth is the point in that??? Ninja Turtles and Hercules were the other two. Again the trailers we released ages ago -
Can I ask what happened the advertised 'TrailerFest' ? So disappointing. This was the thing I was most looking forward to in the event when advertised so booked my tickets for the Sunday (as originally advertised) and was happy. Joke Number 1 - Last week when the schedule was published the Trailers were moved to the Saturday. Train ticket from Scotland wasted Joke Number 2 - decided at the cost of an extra £100 for train fare and £80 for accommodation to make it down for the Saturday and catch the TrailerFest. Made it to it yesterday and it was such a letdown. ONLY 3 TRAILERS PLAYED ON LOOP? Joke Number 3 - The three trailers had already been released on YouTube ages ago. Everyone there was livid. Felt sorry for the staff. I appreciate it was a 'free event' but still think it's wrong to advertise it as something it's not and for something so poor. It was the reason I had gone down and feel so disappointed.

Comic Awards at this years LFCC
Gordon The Gopher replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Was Stan Lee there for it? -
I heard he isn't going to be there tomorrow from a couple of crew members?
-
There will be alot of people there from 6am on the Saturday. Whether it's necassary or not is another question however let's not pretend there won't be a fairly sizeable queue that early. There was last year and this year is gonna be crazy busy in comparison

Gordon The Gopher replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Hi mods, I have asked 3 times now but nobody seems to have answered or acknowledged my question When and where is the trailer screenings? I can't see it on the schedules It is the main reason I am going so I don't want to miss it
