I don't think for many people it matters if it is a dream guest or not. People will have no warning or time to save up any money. When this announcement is made you either have the money or you don't. If you don't have at least a few hundred £ spare to spend then it wont matter who it is. It's that simple. That's why many people simply wont talk about it because they know they can't go. The people that are talking about it are mostly likely the ones that have plenty of money sitting in the bank doing nothing, money that would just be lying there anyway so they have it to spend. It's very cut and dry but that's how it needs to be. Tonight wont be a case of who wants to go and who doesn't. It's a case of only those with lots of spare money will be going and those who don't have it wont be buying them.

Welll being from posh Edinburgh, the big NO voting city i'm sure you can afford it lol. But here in working class YES voting Glasgow, it'll be a one day thing for me. Those are rules about London and also remember, keep your purse safe. Whoever smelt it dealt it. When in doubt just mimic the local accent. There are no square sausages for sale. What else do you need to learn when you go to England?

I think what they should do is take a picture of Emily next to a cardboard cut out and then take all of your photos and super impose your face onto the cardboard cutout and make it look like you are standing next to her lol. Saves a lot of time. -
Revealing the price will let people know one way or another before Thursday if they can do it or not. I agree, get that out of the way, don't have people upset on Thursday due to money. If it's gonna be something that they do end up wanting, at least give them the week to find the money so that they have got a shot at it. For years and years I always championed Jack NIcholson doing a signing, I know he used to come here regularly, infact I know he got a lot of suits in London. No one else really mentioned him about signings but when you look at his back catalogue, you're tapping into pop culture. You've got Kubrick, Batman, Roger Corman, classics like One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, As Good As It Gets, The Departed.

Why are you talking to yourself? -
You don't have to breath them in as they are mostly odourless. They are legally allowed in most places and that is that.

Are you lot getting one print signed or different things? I want a good quality print but maybe with a hard back on it or on a board or something or do i take my chances with the dealers?
-
There were fun times last year with a few dealers smoking them. I think it's much healthier to use them and good for them. It's a craving, an addiction that isn't hard to give up.

Tests have been done not only on paper but also on glass and it has been proven that for a period of 15+ years blue was the only colour that did not fade or crumble whereas the black and silver either turned a bit yellow around the edges or the ink simply did not hold it's colour. When you are a dealer or collector that is vital, well it should be unless you're in your twilight years and don't plan on living long. For most people they absolutely WOULD want their signed items to last 15 years and beyond. There are many people and this includes singers too that simply will not sign anything with a blue sharpie. For many years it has been famous with dealers and it's up to you what you want to do. I guarantee you if a guest doesn't pick blue themselves..........and i'm pretty sure that is why at most tables there is black and silver, i'm pretty i know the reason why guests don't have blue pens at their table.......if you hand them blue a lightbulb goes off in their head and you cannot stop that from happening even if you are the most grateful loyal loving fan in the world, it wont change what goes through their head. Now that's of course up to you. You might be fine with paying a lot of money to meet a guest and getting your signature and not giving one hoot about what they think or don't think about you but for most people, even though they probably will never see that guest again, they probably want that guest to think of them as being a genuine fan, not someone who has DELIBERATELY brought a blue pen with them to sell on. You just can't stop them thinking that. Go and google it if you want. Even Showmasters know that. If there was really nothing to it there would be plenty of blue pens at the guests tables, of course there isn't because there is good reason for it.

I would try them out on a black background first unless of course you got paint pens.

No Early Bird tickets this year?

I think they should do it by region like having a que for Scottish people and one for English and since the Scottish will be outnumbered we should be allowed in first to get what we want and then when we leave let everyone else in. -
I would love Ruggero Dedodato to come over too. I think it will be hard to get a poster for all the franchises. I'm not really a big poster person. I know what's became popular among some of the other horror fans in other countries is to get mini posters signed which I think are 20x16 inches. I wouldn't mind something like that and I usually just get 8x10s but I'm not keen on lots of separate ones. It would have been nice to have a really high quality poster for all the films with a collage or something but have it on really thick card stock so that you could just fit it into a frame and it's sturdy.

thewizard replied to Massive Events's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
I like how the GOT crowd are trying to think of actors it COULD be lol. I have faith that this will be a genuinely big star that no one will have guessed by 6pm tomorrow night and wont be someone people will have thought of. -
What about Jessica Harper? She's been in so many cult classics including Suspiria and Shock Treatment.
