  1. As long as they're dry when you put them in, it'll be fine, but don't store them long term like that. Any plastic sleeves made of PVC will 'sweat', and can stick to the photo, and lift the autograph off. Traditional picture frames will do the same thing (learned that the hard way!) and any photo albums with acid content with discolour the photo. Use polyester sleeves where possible, as they don't sweat. I've ruined too many autographs by not storing them correctly.
  2. I used to use an A4 document box, it's solid, lightweight, and easy to fit into a bag. That was brilliant for 10x8s and the smaller photo op prints, but since I've started collecting larger prints, I now use an A3 autograph box from Frank's Autographs. It stops them getting damaged on the train, but it's difficult to carry around. If you're only getting 10x8s or smaller, I'd suggest getting a folder with plastic sleeves, or a slightly more durable document box. As long as you are careful, you can carry them in almost anything without them getting damaged. Personally, I think this is the perfect solution. I once dropped this down a flight of stairs at a con (accidentally!) and all my autos and photos survived intact: http://www.whsmith.co.uk/Products/WHSmith-A4-Document-Box+Filing+33205069
  3. they will be happy to sign your item, but some stars do have limits to what they will sign. I met jaime Murray from Spartacus and she would not sign any nude pictures of herself Yeah, well I wouldn't sign nude pictures of myself either.
  4. I wish I could! I have so many cosplays planned, but doing so many so close means I have no money spare for cosplaying. I haven't cosplayed since last LFCC!! And it's looking likely that I'll be in the same costume both days for this LFCC. It's a shame, because I spend the lead up to every con trying to narrow down my options and decide which one I want to do most, and then end up not being able to afford it anyway!
  5. It's worth going just to see everyone, and to have a day out with my friends, but yeah, I am going to be kicking myself. Unfortunately I've just done MK and Chevron, so I only have one payday left - not really enough time to save! I could just do less cons, but I'm a glutton for punishment!
  6. Haha just in case I didn't get who you meant?! But tbf, it could be valid for either! I'll make sure I ask for it off as soon as next years diary is available, before anyone else thinks of doing it.
  7. Lol that's very specific! Honestly it doesn't bother me either way - I'd probably watch it if I had nothing else to do, but I'm not exactly worried about missing it The only problem is that it will make it about a million times harder to get the time off work!
  8. LFCC is the closest to me, so I usually go. I'm set on making it this year, but I have NO MONEY, so I may well just be going and walking around not buying anything for two days!
  9. I live in Brighton, and although it would be easy for me, I don't think it would work - the only people it would be easier for is the people who actually live in Sussex, and London is only an hour away anyway! Honestly, I don't think it would pull enough of a crowd. Either you're willing to spend an hour on the train or you're not - the people who won't travel somewhere as close as London probably won't be that bothered about a con in Brighton either. So yeah, it would be cool for those of us that are Brighton based, but it wouldn't be profitable for SM. (Just noticed how long ago this topic was started, talk about a late reply!)
  10. I personally would definitely go to a GoT con. I don't think you need main cast members to sell tickets, although I know it helps. I actually find that the 'smaller' guests are usually more fun at these one-show cons. I know there is another company (I WON'T SAY WHO!!!) running a GoT con, but frankly they're rubbish! SM/ME are definitely the best cons around, so I would much prefer to go to a ME con, even if they didn't pull as many (or as big) guests. With ME you get more for your money, and they are much better organised. Well, that's just my personal opinion - you know you'd sell one ticket at least!
  11. Oh and Ramin Karimloo. Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?!?!?!
  12. Well, I'm glad I have your approval. I'll sleep soundly tonight!
  13. Oh well that's pretty much a given. I bought one of those big storage boxes I was looking at, so I have to start collecting some big pictures of pretty people to fill it up. I'm guessing someone at LFCC will sell them
  14. Neil Jackson Tom Hiddleston Morena Baccarin Jamie Campbell Bower Tyler Brunsman Eugene Simon Christian Coulson Jeffrey Dean Morgan Claudia Black Jason Isaacs Ben Barnes
  15. Yes, why are you not going to this? Because i'm poor Well that's a POOR excuse.
  16. Oh you know me so well, every moment we're apart is like a knife in my soul I'm definitely considering starting a poster, but the amount of money I know it'll cost me is terrifying
  17. I know, I know! I promise I will! I'm sure I can find a few things for him to sign, a DVD sleeve, a poster, a marriage contract... I kid! But seriously, I can't wait to meet him, really starting to look forward to LFCC now.
  18. Aw I fell in love with him in SJA, I had no idea he was in GoT too. I really should start watching it, it's full of brilliant actors!
  19. Okay, so this is my meet list! Some of them are pretty unlikely, but I live in hope. Neil Jackson - Stargate; Upstairs Downstairs; Blade Tom Hiddleston - Thor; Avengers Assemble Morena Baccarin - Stargate; V; Firefly Jamie Campbell Bower - Harry Potter; Mortal Instruments; Sweeney Todd (also Toby Regbo, because an Albus/Gellert double photo would be incredible) Tyler Brunsman - Starkid Eugene Simon - Game of Thrones; House of Anubis Christian Coulson - Harry Potter; Weirdsister College Jeffrey Dean Morgan - Supernatural; Watchmen Claudia Black - Stargate; Farscape Jason Isaacs - Harry Potter; Case Histories Ben Barnes - Narnia; Stardust; Easy Virtue; Dorian Gray
  20. I think Jason Momoa would be a fantastic addition to the current line-up, and I'd also love to meet: Claudia Black Corin Nemec Kavan Smith Morena Baccarin Ryan Robbins James Lafazanos And as always Neil Jackson, Neil Jackson, NEIL JACKSON!
  21. Really hoping to go gold, but over three weeks til I get paid! Hopefully there will be some tickets left by then! If not, I'll be getting silver.
  22. Inga

    Thank you!

Totally agree, best con ever! Can't wait for the next one!
  23. I think unless they extend the weekend, the only way to do it would be to do it the way they do some of the massive american cons - have a photographer for each guest, and just lead the line from one photo booth to the next, and then the same with the autographs, just have them all at one long table and go along the line. The problem with that set up is that you don't get the same experience, there's a lot less time to chat to the guests, and it feels very impersonal. Although I would love there to be 10 (or even 20!) guests next year, I really didn't enjoy the rush this year, and I think the more guests there are, the worse it will be. If only it could be a week long!
