Hey everyone I know 7.9 just ended but I could not help myself so I had to start this topic already. Any idea's what any of you are going as? I got my eyes on the SGA black military outfit. Already got 1 or 2 things lying around for it :)

Great tip from michael shanks. When hiring a focus puller, make sure he don't have a glass eye. This is for both attendees and ME crew . P.S thanks ME guys for an amazing weekend. It could not have gotten any better. See you all at chevron 8.0 (and from my friend who ain't on the forum) :)

Well theres not 10 chevrons on the stargate is there so obviously it would be 8.0

If you ask me, the gold tickets are worth the price we pay. By the time you add up all the photo's each and each autograph and then purchasing photo's / items for the guest to sign, we are actually getting a really good deal :)

Thanks for posting. Having the auction in the evening is a bit different but hey should still be interesting. Photo shoot straight on the saturday morning is something to look forward to :) Good schedule. Any idea what your going to put in the big TBA on sunday yet?

Hey guys n girls This weekend was my first time crewing with showmasters. I worked most of Saturday in autograph section C and all day Sunday on Photo Shoot stage C. On Saturday I did several jobs. These varied from tickets, selling photo's and then being runners for the guess (its very annoying carrying a tray of hot tea through a crowd of people XD). On Sunday most of the day I was the ticket guy (the crazy one with the giant foam Spock hand and the little fluffy tribble. Thanks again for the lovely attendee who game me that. Much appreciated. :) ) Overall i think showmasters did great under the circumstances. All the crew (including myself) tried there best to make everyone's visit as happy and pleasurable as possible. I know I was having fun entertaining a few attendee's whilst they were waiting for there photo's with the guests on Sunday. I apologies again for those who had photo's come out with that annoying line going across through your photo. I hope it was sorted out in the end and that you got a good quality photo. Some of the crew were new this weekend (like myself) and this did not help some of you out but I hope you were able to sort out all your issues in the end. I know at times we seemed like headless chicken wondering around but we always try are best to deliver an amazing service to everyone. I just wanna do a massive shout out (like i have been doing all day Sunday to attendee's) to the crew. Once again guys, you were all absolutely amazing. I hope you all had an amazing weekend and that you to were also able to get the photo's and autographs you were hoping for. I know I was able to get mine. Like I said give yourself a pat on the back. You all deserve it. Massive thanks to Jason for being able to get this whole event going in particular. I know he worked with Media 10 but still amazing job. The museum that Jason put together was amazing. Thank you for allowing everyone to see your collection. That was very awesome of you. Congratulations on beating 2 Guinness World Records in one weekend. These are for holding the largest Star Trek convention in the WORLD and also the largest cosplay parade in the world! CONGRATULATIONS! I am so glad that I was able to crew for showmasters and help make this possible. Thank you again to everyone for making this weekend absolutely amazing. The guests were amazing as well. Having the pleasure of meeting only a handful of them made crewing for showmasters a even better experience. Thank you again. Please post below what you enjoyed from DSTL and if you remember me from Photo Shoot C. Once again I had the giant Spock foam hand and the little tribble. Hey guys. Do you need any more help this weekend at DSTL. I can work all day Saturday and Sunday. I can also get there early the Saturday morning if needed and I dont mind leaving late Sunday if needed as well. Let me know please so I can arrange travel.

Dude trust me when I say this. You do not need to bring your mates to chevron. I went to my first chevron which was 7.7 and now I have loads of con mates and it is literally a massive family reunion every time we meet up. You dont need to bring friends to cons as you make loads of friends at cons. Everyone would agree with me on this.

Is it ok to take photo's from a distance of them or whilst they sign rare items as proof in case of re-sale in the future?

Hey guys n girls Quick question. I read on the forum that you have sold out of photo shoot tickets online. Does that mean that they are not available to be purchased on the day? Same question with auto graphs. I hope they can be purchased on the day still. I would love to go to this con. raiden58237

Kenny Baker and Dave Prowse were at the Elstree Empire day in May, Collectormania: Milton Keynes in June and also LFCC in July. It would not surprise me if they were not asked to come to the EMS show because of the amount of viewings that they have already done this year. It would be good if they did come but Im just saying that because they have been seen so many times already this year, they might not get asked to come again so Showmasters can attempt to get different guest in.

Hey guys n girls At the last chevron there were 2 auctions. One was a general Stargate Auction and the other was a Sanctuary for Kids which Amanda Tapping run. I was wondering if someone else was going to be doing the Sanctuary for Kids auction again at 7.9 just so we can show are continueing support for Amanda and the charity. If not then maybe thats something showmasters could consider. Just an idea. raiden58237
