I'd just like to add my thanks. It's been 2 years since I attended a Collectormania, in 2010 - the first one held at MK Dons and that took some getting used to after going to the shopping centre for a couple of years. So was prepared to be a bit cold, but as Callum said its worth it right? It defintiely is. The crew are always brilliant at SM events so congrats to them as always and great guests this year again. I can't wait for the next one.

Just a quick question re a photoshoot Any idea when they will start to be posted out, mine was with Brandon on Sunday, I had to leave early and left my name address, and a big description plus £2 for p&P. I realise its only a few days after the event and we've had bank holidays too. But this is the event in years that I've not been able to hang around to collect it Many thanks

Not many this time I'm afraid and as I was only there on Sunday, the three that I did get to meet were lovely, we had a long chat with both Erik Avari and Callum Blue about allsorts, and I had a photoshoot with the very handsome Brandon Routh.

Aah Brandon I only managed to speak to him during the photoshoot and he was very lovely indeed, as looks exactly the same as he does on screen, poor thing! lol I'm still bummed I couldn't hang around to get his autograph on sunday, just waiting for my lovely photoshoot piccie to arrive in the next few weeks and that'll have to do till the next time hes over here

There were a small number of guests I was hoping to meet at this event but Callum was the main one for me. As I have loved watching Callum in Smallville and Sanctuary, and had been hoping to meet him ever since. What a lovely fella we saw him walking around mid morning, actually my friend spotted him and knowing I had gone there specifically to meet him, she tapped me on the shoulder and as I looked up he said hi .I knew right there and then that meeting him was going to be an awesome experience. During the photoshoot I shook his hand to say hello (my hand was freezing) and he asked if I my hoody was keeping me warm enough. Later at his signing area I talked with him about his portrayal of Zod, I told him he was the main reason the 9th season was one of my all time favourites, he was genuinely pleased and quite humble about the praise too. I mentioned that we'd met his very great friend Robin, and he told us the part of Forsyth had been written for him especially and it was down to Robin that he'd been involved in that particular story. As mentioned in another post he was more than happy to chat about anything and everything, at one point we were talking about Ruth Brown on The Voice. I would happily attend another event if Callum was going to be there as hes just one the nicest guys. Thanks Showmasters He would be a great guest for a weekend convention.

I meant to post this the week after the con, but I too caught the Con Crud coldey thing, I think from the hotel. I am actually still poorly now so figured I get this done! I wasn't looking forward to the event and not for any reason than due to personal stuff my head wasn't in the right place for it. Or so I thought, but as we veterans of SG cons know, if theres one thing that can take your mind off your troubles and lift your spirits, its attending these type of events. Its a shame you can't bottle that feeling as its just amazing and so very good for you. So back to the guests Amanda wow that lady gives great hugs, she is as lovely and funny in person as hoped she woulc be Mr Robin J Dunne this was not the first time of me meeting him (my third actually) so I knew exactly what level of humour to expect from him (in the gutter!) so he didn't disappoint although it seemed to rub off on all the other guests! I was cringing for Amanda during their panel. I did enjoy the strip tease a little lol Garry that man doesn't really need a microphone, so great to meet him after seeing him on-screen in sg1 so many years ago, and it was really interesting to hear stories about some of his voice-over work etc Peter How lucky were we to get free standup, that guy is hilarious and his Robert Carlyle impressions are uncanny Tom What a lovely gentleman, as with Garry I had waited a long time to meet him, he made me tear up alot during Sundays talks and was so unassuming. How lovely that he had such pride in his achievements throughout his theatre career Many thanks to the amazing Massive Events crew, this was not my first con but my first Chevron event. This was a very smoothly run event, you made every minute of it a pleasure to be at, even during the queueing and when needed the crew were attentive and most helpful, I do agree with the other points, several people had made regarding the corridors in the venue and some seating issues. So hope they can get sorted for the next one. Lastly I don't know whether any of the many people that I chatted to throughout the weekend come on here, but if they do great to sit with you before the photos/autos/outside the hall and inside. Lisa, Joanne, Sue, & Nikki to name but a few. I hope to see everyone again very soon, I can;t afford the one in November, but fingers crossed for one again in Feb 2013. Thanks again Massive Events
