Personally I'm not fussed about the gifts. If it means being able to bring the cost down even just a little then do it. I think most are going diamond simply to guarantee a photo and auto. The gift is a nice to have but not a need to have.

Great to have the pre opening wait upstairs / great to have early entry / this year I personally felt all crew we interacted with we're genuinely helpful and happy to show a little flexibility on queue joining when queues were short but weren't quite up to your number - common sense - no point not having enough people in a queue (I'm talking about the need for VT for diamonds). I'd say best July run show we have attended (and we've done most of them in the last 15 years). Slight annoyance was the late running Hayden VTs but that's all negativity speaking.

Perhaps very naïve of me but I was saddened and shocked that reading the Facebook forum this morning that someone had wanted to find out what hotel the guests would be staying at.. appreciate slightly off topic but I hope this is not news to SM and that adequate security is in place to ensure that the guests have a great time and are not bothered unnecessarily outside of the event.

Photo added to ticket is fantastic idea - and potentially is very quick to be checked - you could argue that it doesn't need to be checked at entry to the event BUT when handing over money at the guests table Or at a photo shoot etc the team member can quickly look and check it's you!

Certainly a buy back facility will help those that "genuinely" cannot attend and is probably a good idea as we see costs increase. Let's say there was a family illness for example - as an adult I would take a hit on a general entry ticket that I had paid for but if I had bought Diamond passes it would be "nice" for both me to get a refund and equally if the events are going to sell out in future then to give someone an opportunity to buy one where I couldn't go would be fair. This wouldn't deal with the touts and I appreciate might make it difficult for SM to know where they stand financially at any one point but if the event is going to sell out then I guess that would be ok?

It's always a shame when the actions of a few spoil it for the masses. I totally agree that this needs to be stamped out. This is our hobby and needs to be protected for those that play by the rules. As well organised as I think I am I would hate to think I failed to buy a ticket because someone bought up a load. Just some off top of my head ideas - I would be prepared to pay a little more for my entry ticket if that covered the cost of the admin to police this properly - I would suggest a ticket system that has your name on it AND if you are buying multiple tickets then you have to give the name of the people that are attending at the time of the booking so that they are all personalised, this would need to be enforced with ID entry system - not ideal in terms of time to get in and the additional work load for you guys I appreciate. Also I don't know if this also exists but I would recommend that there is a maximum number of tickets that a person can buy. In a bizarre way Jason this issue confirms the success of these events but it is a sad day when we have to have these discussions.... Take whatever actions you need to, you have my support and I believe you will have the support of all genuine fans / attendees.

Keep up the great work Jason. I'm sure you will announce as soon as you can but the dates for next year's summer LFCC would be useful so we can arrange holiday with work - don't need tickets to be available to buy yet just the dates. Cheers.

Looking at the 10x8 photo options that are available to pre-order is it reasonable to say that if I am meeting the person instead then they will have ALL these options (and perhaps more - assuming none sell out) to choose from at the table? I was considering buying what I wanted for Sigourney before the event however if the table has the same options as the pre-order store then I may leave it? Thanks.

You can both be in the photo however you will both need to have photo tickets I'm afraid

I think the point being made is that as a gold ticket holder you wont need virtual tickts but you can join the back of the queue. Recognising that diamond passes for autos will have priority over gold. Correct?

Question please? if I buy a diamond pass for myself for MJF, this comes with a standard photo op with MJF. If my wife buys just a standard photo op for MJF(no diamond pass) will we be able to be in the photo together with him as technically they are both standard photos? Many thanks!
