  1. Out of the people i met i'm tied between two. Diamond Dallas Page - I've been a big fan of his for years now so to finally meet him and to have him be so chatty, genuine and friendly was awesome. Amanda Tapping - One of the sweetest guests i've EVER met at a convention.
  2. Here's mine :-) https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151509469653693.1073741827.507488692&type=3
  3. I think my only gripe was that i got sent away from the the Adam Baldwin queue 11 times (of which i left without any fuss and came back each time when they said) and it was only when me and a lady who had been going through the same thing that i put my foot down (as politely as i could) that they let me (aswell as the lady) queue and i really hate putting my foot down in those situations because i know its of no fault of the crew members at all. Aside from that i had a great time and every guest i met was really friendly (I had a nice 5 minute chat to Alex Winter about how Bill and Ted got me into Megadeth haha).
  4. Pay the difference between my standard and the early bird or the whole amount of what an early bird ticket is?
  5. I wasn't aware that photoshoots could be before standard entry time and have only just been able to come and check out the times. I've bought a Ben Browder photo ticket (for sunday) weeks ago along with standard entry and now i see his shoot is before 11. Do i really have to go along and try and convince them to let me in / pay more because i hardly think thats fair concidering i'm already going to be spending alot. (hope this doesn't sound aggressive. I'm just somewhat flustered over it).
  6. Although i'm not really a fan of getting my photo taken i still prefer it over autographs because its visual proof that i met the person and i find myself looking at my photos far more than my autographs to be honest.
  7. Hey, I'm Alex, I'm 23 years old and i live down in Kent. My three main interests are: Sci Fi - Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis), Farscape, Quantum Leap, Firefly and Battlestar Gallactica (new) being my favourites Hard Rock / Metal which i like most sub-genres of but i tend to lean towards the older stuff more than modern. Wrestling - I got into it around 1995 and i just haven't grown out of it! and erm, yep!
  8. People i have autographs from: Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath / Heaven and Hell) Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath / Heaven and Hell) Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden, wolfsbane and solo) Fozzy (whole band) Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) Tim 'Ripper' Owens (ex-Judas Priest, ex-Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Beyond Fear, solo ect) Avantasia (Whole band and guest vocalists from Wacken 2008) Alice Cooper Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row and solo) Ronny Munroe (ex-metal church and solo) Musicians i've met and got photos with: Joacim Cans (Hammerfall) Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) Rich Ward (Fozzy, Adrenaline Mob and Stuck Mojo) Steve Vai Andre Matos (ex-Angry, ex-Shaamen and solo) Tobias Sammet (Edguy and Avantasia) Jorn Lande (Masterplan and Solo) Petri Lindroos (Ensiferum and ex-Norther) Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden, Wolfsbane and solo) Christopher Bowes (Alestorm) Cam Pipes (3 Inches of Blood) I think thats it...
  9. I've always been of the impression that Joe has a very well defined (and fairly large) sense of personal space - something I understand very well! Have always been wary of asking him to do my typical photoshoot pose before now because of that but I carefully phrased a request on Saturday so he had an easy out and there was a second's thoughtful pause before I got an 'okay, sure'. He has seemed to slowly relax in photoshoots over the years though, hence my request :) Interesting, in my shoot he was very welcoming and put his arm round my shoulder no problem at all. I'm always careful with the personal space thing and generally take my queue from those in front. Didn't get any sense of any issues from watching others and thought he was great. I'm the same on the personal space front, i never put my arm around someones shoulder unless they're ok with it and as soon as i approached him he shook my hand and put his arm around my shoulder first so he seemed perfectly fine to me, i was happy :-)
  10. Something i have to say i noticed about people who were there is i didn't realise conventions were so popular amongst the metal community, i saw so many people in band t-shirts (Iron Maiden, metallica, alice cooper, motorhead ect) and i liked that as it didn't make me feel out of place walking around in my maiden t-shirt haha, that was a plus point of EMS for me :-p
  11. He was the main person i went to the EMS for as i'm a huge Stargate fan and it was great to get his autograph, sit in on his talk and to get a photo with him. The only part i really kick myself for is that when i meet someone i'm a fan of i get really nervous and when i handed my dvd sleeve for him to sign i was full on shaking which is so embaressing. He did make me feel better though as there was no one else waiting for his autograph at the time so he spoke to me for a little bit which made me feel alot more relaxed for the photo session. Lastly i discovered his favourite word is 'buddy' as he called me that about 20 times during our conversation haha.
  12. If your photo isn't back by closing time, you don't have to pay. It's sent to you free of charge. Well, i think if it had happened i wouldn't have paid because i don't see why i should but the lady i spoke to said that i would have to which is why i bring it up. I was only annoyed for about 5 minutes when a big batch of photos appeared, including mine
  13. I have to say i had a great time and the only thing i didn't like was after waiting for hours for my photo there was a possibility that it wouldn't be ready by closing time and that if that happened i would have to pay the £2 and have it sent to me, which luckily didn't end up being the case as it turned up in time.
  14. http://twitpic.com/6u806h Being a huge Stargate fan it was great to meet Joe Flanigan and i really liked the fact that he gave me the time to talk to him whilst i was getting his autograph as there was no one else waiting at the time. I did find it funny that he must have called me buddy about 20 times though haha.
