Eventbrite Tickets
evilbatduck replied to Spacecadet is here's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
All my e-tickets worked flawlessly. They just need to work on the validation fee being automatic and maybe number them a bit better than batches, and it will be perfect. -
LFCC Talk and Photo Schedule
evilbatduck replied to Too Tall's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
If you have batch 1/2 then you can go to the later shoots as well. The general advice given is to go for the shoot that ends first, and let the crew know that you have a clash and need to get to another one, but if you want to go to some of the later shoots on that day that shouldn't be a problem either. -
DISTRICT & CIRCLE LINES CLOSED SATURDAY & SUNDAY
evilbatduck replied to subwaykfc's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Yep sorry there is a replacement bus service running from Earls Court to Olympia on Friday, or you can get the overground from West Brompton or Shepherds Bush (or walk from Barons Court). -
DISTRICT & CIRCLE LINES CLOSED SATURDAY & SUNDAY
evilbatduck replied to subwaykfc's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
No, I believe this is just a generic bus service that runs to Olympia No need for a bus. The district line between Earls Court and Olympia is still running. It's a short service that only goes one stop and then back again. -
DISTRICT & CIRCLE LINES CLOSED SATURDAY & SUNDAY
evilbatduck replied to subwaykfc's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
The Earls Court - Kensington Olympia bit of the District line is still running Saturday and Sunday. It goes about every 10 minutes :) This doesn't run on Friday though so you will need a different route from Earls Court to Kensington if you are going on that day. -
I'm so excited! I get to go in tonight to start setting up, but the real excitement begins as soon as the doors open tomorrow afternoon.

Some of the vendors will accept card, but I think it's always best to assume they don't and try to bring enough cash for the day.

Nearest train station to the event?
evilbatduck replied to MarshallMathers's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
The TFL journey planner lets you know the best routes and takes into account whch lines are closed. https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/ For Victoria the best route is to get the District line from Kengsington Olympia to Earls Court, the Piccadilly line to Green Park and then the Victoria line down to Victoria. -
You can get to Earls Court using the Piccadilly line if possible, and then the Kensington Olympia branch of the District line will still be running. Alternatively you can get the Central line to Shepherds Bush and walk over to the Overground station to get the train to Kensington Olympia. A bit difficult, but not impossible!

Where are we all Travelling From?
evilbatduck replied to Aearin's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Only from East London. Still takes me about an hour and a half though with the various different tube and overground lines I have to get! -
I usually buy my photoshoot tickets at the event in the morning, will I still be able to buy them from the sales desk now that the tickets have moved to e-ticketing? If so, what form will they be? Will I be handed a paper ticket like before or will they now email me over my e-ticket to use later on the day?

We're in a minority I think, but I hate them! I collect vinyl figures and used to at least be able to find a few stalls selling kidrobot stuff, bearbricks and qees. Now it's just rubbishy funko pop everywhere I look. They are very canny in buying up licenses, and people love things they recognise. Nice to see some jewellery love though as thats my main area of expertise. I'm working on some BTTF and Alien designs for the con hopefully!

It was definitely busier than last years EMS. I think changing the name has helped as people are less confused as to what the show is about! Our stall was opposite Photo B and we could hear Brian Blessed shouting all through his photoshoot We had a great weekend.

I live in London and have a work travelcard so my travel is free, and as a stallholder I get free entry. Then I usually get 4 or 5 photoshoots, maybe an autograph from someone really special and spend my stall profit on toys and bits from other stalls! It works for me :)

So who knows they are definately going.
evilbatduck replied to gobo1979uk's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2013
I'll be there, I'm booking my stall next week. And I have £50 of Xmas vouchers to use there! -
