that's three times i've missed Alex now. The first time i fell ill just before the con at Milton Keynes. At LFCC i booked for Saturday, for Karen, and then Alex was announced and i had no more cash left for a return trip. And now she was so within reach and yet the chance to meet her slipped through my fingers at the very last moment. It seems i'm cursed, never to meet this wonderful lady.

oh no! i really wanted to meet her for the first time! Oh well. Guess these things can't be helped. I really hope she can make another con in the future. plus i'm looking forward to seeing her in 'Upstairs, Downstairs', so there's a plus. Darvill better not cancel as well!

Well hopefully, the lovely fans that will see him on Sunday will make such a good impression on him that David may just be swayed to do another convention in the future. I've heard he's very loyal when it comes to Doctor Who and his fans. And i wouldn't have missed meeting Alex Kingston for the world.

I got my photo shoot ticket! number 20, so i'm very happy. But now i don't know what i want Alex to sign! I love her as River Song and didn't know about Kingston until seeing her in Doctor Who, but i saw video clips on youtube of her in E.R., so i've bought the box sets and love her character in that too! Now i don't know whether to get a pic of her as Elizabeth Corday or River Song for her to sign! Decisions, decisions....

I've bought 2 photo shoots with Alex Kingston and Arthur Darvill. I missed Alex at both Collectormania and LFCC, so i'm dead chuffed that i'll be able to catch her this time! As to autographs, Arthur Alex Caitlin Blackwood Nina Toussaint-White Albert Welling Eve Myles Ian McNeice I'm not too fussed if i don't get to meet the last 3, as this is only my second convention and i'd rather spend time to enjoy the day, rather than end up rushing around, trying to meet as many people as i can. At LFCC, i only went for Karen Gillan and Camille Coduri, which left me a lot of time to look round the stalls, which i enjoyed.

I won't raise my hopes, but i'm hoping for Matt Smith to make an appearance! Unlikely, i know. But i would love it if Freema, Billie or John showed!

bought my ticket! Now if only Alex were to do another signing, i'd have the full TARDIS team autographs. I was so disappointed that i missed out on Alex Kingston, but i'd booked to see Karen and i couldn't afford to go two days in a row. But seeing Arthur will more than make up for it.

i like both. Photos hold greater memories, but autographs allow you a longer time with the guest and a chance for a quick chat.

i usually frame my autographs. I only collect current Doctor Who stars (the classic series ended before i was even thought of) so the frames don't take up too much room in my bedroom. I've taken to hanging them on my walls now and i always buy the same frames. I have a thing for uniformity, and the silver frames i buy only cost £3. I don't tend to my autographs in ring binders like my friends. i always think autographs are there to be displayed and admired. Not hidden away on a dusty shelf.
