  1. Thanks guys was just remembering the queue I saw for the LFCC (I got in early so missed it) and thought if I saw that I'd just go home. It was HUGE!!!!!!! TICKETS ORDERED FOR EALY BIRD SATURDAY EVEN MANAGED TO PERSUADE THE MISSUS TO COME ALONG THIS TIME
  2. Thanks for that. I nearly ordered using that option thinking it was a different type of ticket!!!! What about the queue, do I just bypass that waving my early bird ticket at them laughing as I go?
  3. Is that in the postage options? You have to use Royal Mail for that. There will be a thread started on here when the deadline is set for ordering items online for this event, so just make sure you keep an eye on the forum. Yeah thats right it was in the delivery options? What is it? Also if you have pre ordered your ticket do you just bypass the huge queues on arrival?
  4. Hi guys/gals, just a quick couple of questions. what is a stormtrooper print ticket? Is it a just a ticket with a stormtrooper printed on it? Also what's the latest I can order tickets online and get them delivered before the event? Many thanks David
  5. And if you rest an your laurels you never will get as good as you could. Please people understand. I think what they put on is great, they just need to update more often, do you really think everyone who can or thinks about coming would visit this forum? No of course. By the way I see a few if their websites have now been updated. I know it's got NOTHING to do with this thread, but well done. Is there an explanation as to why they are so slow to update from one of the organisers?
  6. I read through the replies, but it was this snippet that caught my eye. My thoughts on how SM/ME run their organisation remain my thoughts. However, if you truly do think that you can add to their business, did you ever consider that coming onto their web forum and being a tad negative would not do your application any good? You mentioned about marketing, and your connections, but would you not consider your comments bad marketing for yourself? Being someone who helps people put together business proposals, might your time be better spent putting together a full and detailed proposal to present to Jason and his team? Just a thought. Hey I'm not after a job (I have one I'm very proud of) I was just trying to show what an outsider (newbie) sees when they first visit one of their (great) events.
  7. Video editing takes time, especially if you have much material. Sorry the speed isn't to your liking, but the event is barely over for three weeks. I know it takes me longer than that to edit my holiday vidos. Video editing does take time but NoT three weeks. I've made a few videos now for companies some which have won awards. Look I know it's growing business but I think they need to know more when it comes to marketing. My partner is Marketing manager and she is surprised about how much more they could do with just a little direction change. Showmasters/Massive Events have both paid and unpaid workers. They run a tremendous amount of events, and in between are looking for and trying to book guests. I think a website not being updated straight away is no big thing. There is a link to the forum you are on now, and most people would click that at some time. It is far easier and quicker to post a subject announcing a guest than updating a website. Showmasters are fans running events to break even, so employing too many people is not a viable good business proposition. Also, they have been doing this gig for some time now and I am sure they know what to do to attain interest. If your telling me this is how they operate then there is something fundamentally wrong at their management level. Marketing and word of mouth is something you must get right. LOok some of the guests for some of the shows were provisionally booked a few weeks ago and nothingong shows on their websites. It doesn't take more than a few minutes to add a name and picture to a site. I mean come on they were still advertising events that had been cancelled! How bad does that look? If you're seriously interested in working for Showmasters, you might want to read this. If you're still interested after you've read it, e-mail them. I emailed them three weeks ago. I'm not holding out my breath on a reply. I know their busy bit i do believe I could add something to their business.
  8. It's a real shame the websites are not updated regulary. London Film and Comic Con is STILL waiting for the illusive video of the event, and as for the other events. I mean I've only just got onto these events (attended LFCC for the first time this year and loved it) but they need to keep their sites updated regulary. It's not thT hard to do. Employ me if you like, I don't think you realise how much more interest you would gain just by staying on the ball. David
