  1. There are a lot of people that just turn up on the day and don't know about Gold Passes, but really that is their problem. After the annoying start on Friday of not being given the wristband in the queue as stated, that would have let us in early and having to queue again when I got in to obtain the band was not thought out. The list of Gold Pass holders could have been alphabetical and in darker print. Also could your Pit bosses not smoke when they are instructing the crew member handing out Gold Passes to the queue outside in future. As the Gold Pass room was not supervise you can only blame the attendees that filled up several bottles with water and took lots of sweets. Talk area was much better supervised on the Saturday. Sunday there were people without bands on the second row. One woman left two children then proceeded talk on a phone standing up by a crew member on two occasions and even left the area at on point to appear back with another young child. This besides it was a very good event! Thank You!!!
  2. See guests in the queue??? And the gates don't open till later this afternoon, so you will be waiting on the dusty road...
  3. West Brompton is across the road, best Station for the LFCC entrance, can't miss the queue or the Cosplayer entertainment !!!
  4. SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL IT'S LFCC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. It would make sense to hand them out when we get our wrist bands in the queue.
  6. The is one on path up from the gate opposite West Brompton Tube and if you turn right out of the gate there is one outside a shop a few hundred yards down. But the Nat West one on the path empties quickly.
  7. Yes it has.....more unwanted development on the cards. They also have a thriving unique business area, that doesn't possess the same boring selection of shops. The steadfast existing population will suffer yet again to line someone's already full pockets.
  8. This is so sad....used to go to the Ideal Home & Motorbike exhibitions many decades ago, really fed up of higher beings ( that's me being polite) knocking stuff down to make tiny housing and yet another shopping centre, that they rent or sell off at extortionate prices.
  9. Looks like I will be sitting on two seats after all!!! Is Claudia Photo 19 on your everso small list of shoots???
  10. Happen to Gillian Anderson too at LFCC 12, which when it is a big celeb is annoying & a waste of valuable talk time. If you are really listening and didn't hear the question, you should be able to deduce from the answer what the question was.
  11. Also it's back at Earls Court, so getting in will be more streamlined than Olympia.
  12. It is huge and don't be daunted by the long queue stretching round the corner, it clears very fast into the venue.
  13. A few minutes out the gate turning right there is a corner cafe which does very good reasonable priced meals & snacks. Well it must be OK a fussy American will eat in it!!! (Sorry to my other half, but you can be fussy over a burger ).
  14. Nice to see a distance between the stages, there was a battle with the Cosplay sound system in 2011.
  15. Sylvia has been to a few events over the years, lovely lady and she always has Penelope with her .
  16. I usually get my youngest child to wait in the queue for me...but as he isn't going this year I can afford to buy a Gold Ticket!!! So will wandering across the road from my hotel in time for early let in at 8.50am. And before everyone gets worried...he's 23 not 3 and last time it was at Earls Court he had 2 extra nights in London to see Weezer & a footie match........
  17. You just get tickets on the day at the main desk or a ticket stall, kinda like the virtual tickets for autographs, its normally just a slip of paper. The stand should be near the talk area. Will this be a first come, first serve basis?? Also, as Sarah Wayne Callies is doing her talk on the Sunday, will these be available only to obtain on the Sunday or will they start being available from the friday??? The free talk tickets are usually available on the day of the talks and obtained from a table outside the talk area. So you can't get them on a Friday evening or on the Saturday for a Sunday talk. Also they will only give you one ticket, each person wanting the talk has to be there to get there own, so that they are distributed fairly.
  18. There were many last year that could have heeded that advice for a liberal spray of industrial strength deo..... Glass roof at Olympia really did turn the busy venue into a greenhouse.
  19. If you check your account on the shop site it lists when the payment is taken. It is actually very good as it lists all your previous transactions, in my case going way back.
  20. Something like this, if only for the madly popular talks. And I can't stand at the back since I use a walking stick... standing really isn't something I can do for long. I can sit on two seats if you're 'crawling' late!
  21. 'Halifax' was originally not a mainstream transaction bank, but just savings accounts. I do encounter a few problems with cards issued from this sort of bank in my job, due to the security system that our card checker uses. Paypal would be a nice option, but they do have safeguard clauses with event ticket sales and limits on how much the customer can spend over a period of time, also some odd charges to the vendor...But Thomas at Paypal is very helpful :)
  22. Entrance last year the problems were mainly down to the venue at Olympia and the way they wanted things to be done, not Showmasters, but we are back at Earls Court this year so things should be back to normal. Nicely positioned Gold ticket queue at the front door with plenty of room for the fast moving early birds ticket holders to snake round the block and the extremely long line-up for those without a ticket..... well I hear Hammersmith Broadway is very picturesque!!! Friday night is very good, quite calm, time to get your bearings if you haven't been before and a far less squished look at the stall holders.
  23. I bought mine & a friends...I was told to put in the comment box who the second one was for. But you could ring them if you have already paid for them or try emailing.
