Now you mention it, that kind of queue in a Newcastle winter isn't to appealing and for the kind of show it is, it's a potentential deal breaker.
Wasn't early bird was a popular system?

I wonder if this is it?
-
Same here. I'm not big into doctor who and I've yet to get around to game of thrones and they are they ones showmasters are into so there's not much pull for me either really.
-
Yeah I know, that was my point. The manchester shows start next year so that will fill that function nicely for less travel :)
-
Still holding out for that Carl Weathers/John Rhys Davies style star like we got at the first one, I'm not around on the Sunday but if they get someone I'm excited about I'll go to the Saturday show.
-
Also there's LFCCW happening in Brighton the same month so that's maybe a factor
-
I wonder if they think it will sell out regardless and so no need for a big draw. I hope that's not the case. And besides, it's a large amount of people so a big name or two would surely make a bunch of money.

Is there any chance you will beef up the Newcastle show for the people who it will be difficult to travel that far? Seems like it might be a nice half way point solution.

Lauren Cohan
Hayley Atwell
Chloe Bennett
Jeffery Coombs
Malcolm Mcdowell
Frank Oz
Goonies cast
John Dimaggio (I mean Cartoons and video games are at a high so it'd probably be very popular to get some high profile voice actors in, even though I've just named one)
Mark Hamill
Barbara Crampton
Anna Paquin
Paul Scheer
Paul Rudd (which would be amazing)
Richard Thomas
Ronnie Corbett
DDP
Bill Nighy

I'm pretty sure you're just gonna get a bunch of dudes rocking up.

Genuine non-snarky question: I've been attending the last 4 or so years, sometimes summer, other times winter. I didn't get to summer this year, so having not seen it with my own eyes, is it worth travelling a long distance without going gold or diamond? I can't really afford to spend a lot on one guest (after travel, hotel etc) and I'd hate to travel hours having bought a ticket and not meet someone. Would it still be worth it?

Hayley Atwell, Lloyd Kaufman, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Coombs, Barbara Crampton, John Dimaggio, any Goonies, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Agents of SHIELD actors.
I know the chances of a lot of these are slim, but hey, it's a wish list after all :)

Not easier for me. My printer is broke!

Will they be in a more secluded area this time? It was a little hard to hear last time out in the open
-
Lloyd kaufman, ade edmondson, vic and bob, walking dead guests, tom savini, agents of shield guests

For future cons I'd like more panels about upcoming stuff like the Dredd talk a couple of years back. That felt special.

How about some soundtrack composers?
A few examples:
Vince DiCola http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_DiCola http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0225746/
John Williams http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002354/
Don Davis http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Davis_(composer)
And
Mark Ayres http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Ayres
interesting, we also wanted to post about composers..so the ones above here + Christoff Beck & Bear McCreary!!!!!!!!!
In addition to my original suggestions I'll add David Arnold to the list. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Arnold
Another suggestion a Muppets talk.
I've been asking for a Muppets talk for years! Let's have it!

I know I spent £20 on a G1 Soundwave - happy happy happy :-)
Holy cow! Wish I saw that!

I shockingly did ok, I got everything I wanted (a load of auto's, one photo shoot, and a couple of items from the store) but managed to go home with some spare money that will go towards the next convention I attend...or a holiday I haven't decided yet.
I think I was ok because the most expensive guest I saw was Stan Lee and because I had pre-paid for the talks I wanted to go too/
All in all spent about £250 on everything including food, a lot of medication and plasters from boots, train tickets and booze.
I found a stall on the sunday selling wolverine pocket size bottle openers for £1.50. I was like, 'maaaaaan'. Still, I got one as one of the gifts I brought back home for friends as I was doing a little prezzie shopping Sunday.

Get to bed earlier. I had super late nights friday and saturday but con happiness got me through.

I met all 4 of them and they were all fantastic!! Had my photo's taken with all of them, which they all happily obliged too. Vincent Ward got up and came round the front of the desk before I'd even asked for a photo . Jose was really lovely! Had a great conversation with him about David Morrisey, who I love and adore
He also said that they do go back and tell the others how great the convention is and that they should all go, so fingers crossed we may see more of them in the future
That is very cool!

I know this probably won't happen because he is going to DST a couple of weeks before but Karl Urban would make my day : )
He was at LFCC2012, one of the things he did was a really cool panel to big up Dredd, along with writer, director and a producer if I remember it right.
I'd really like to see more like this at future cons. Felt special. We got a sneak peek at a film clip too!

The only thing which could be done better: hang out the celebrites name of the current photo shooting and who would be next of that Photo Area.
It would be then easier for the crew-member and for those which want have a pic. Specially then when something changed.
I almost missed one photo shooting because it was about 30 minutes earlier than scheduled and I didn't realized it earlier. I run in as the last one. But anyway... for the most everything was well done.
That is a great suggestion!
