  1. Oh, thanks for that. That's real nice of you. Yeah let's just have a con for top hat wearing elitists. That'll make everything better. Why not? When I was queuing in the gold pass queue, I didn't recognise anyone from my days at Eton College or Cambridge University. I stood next to someone who drove a BMW and not a Lamborghini. Horrible experience. Put me off completely when meeting Stan Lee. Someone told me (definitely went to a comprehensive in Peckham) that they're going on a cruise. Seriously, you can get a yacht for £30 million - they're not that expensive. Oh man, you just gave me a terrifying vision of the future.

  3. Aww man, no lauren cohan again???Nope unfortunatly but there are still names that they havt got that showmasters can hopefully get signed up this event now i have some names on my TWD poster i want more names to add to it Damn it!
  4. Some of the shoots were stupidly rushed this weekend. One photographer barely gave any time to get in front of the camera never mind get into a pose. And we had crew members repeatedly telling us to get closer in the queue but any closer and in some countries that would be classed as being married. Also one was a ghostbuster with a really cool proton pack, but sorry miss crew member, any closer and I might have had an eye put out. I kinda felt they were telling people to get closer without noticing how close we all were. Some of the other crew were great though and really friendly, especially the cheerful brunette lady in D (I think it was) on saturday who took tickets. Also the green screen shoots were great
  5. I think I got lucky on sunday because stan said hi to me and I got to thank him for everything.
  6. Whoever did that is a pretty crappy human being.
  7. I'd like to thank the people working the emperors throne room for not batting an eyelid at my great cornholio pose.
  8. I don't really want it getting too much more expensive. After travel, hotel, and everything else, it's very costly to come. I don't want to be priced out of a good experience.
  9. I really wanted to meet Dina and Casper but didn't get to, hopefully next time! Yeah, Jason Mewes seemed to having fun in his saturday photoshoot. He was fun at the awards too. I didn't get to meet Anthony Head, but he was huge fun at the comic awards, did you go to that? He was awesome there. Actually having just seen your picture I recognised you as being in the same cramped Jason Mewes queue as me! Small world :) I'm sure Casper & Dina will come back, you must meet them next time, they were so awesome :)...No i didn't go to the comic awards was it good? Did Anthony sing? i heard him tell someone that he might do that. Awesome, it is a small world :) I had a 20 minute window between 2 photo shoots so i thought i'd quickly get his autograph then right as he got to me he went to the toilet. Luckily my next photo shoot was 40 minutes long so i had a bit of time. It was just a real effort getting to photo shoot areas lol. Wasn't it just? Yeah he sang, it was good :) the awards were pretty wild in a way. It was over dead quick, and awkward things would happen like there wouldn't be awards to actually give or people not knowing what was next. Jason Mewes fielded a brief Q&A which immediately led to a question I can't repeat here (though I can tell you on fb or twitter). Tony Head just kept people laughing the whole time, more often than not making himself laugh on stage. I mean without him, gawd knows but with him being the host he saved the day.
  10. I brought deodorant, antiperspirant, aftershave, hand gel, face wipes (a godsend in keeping cool), mint, and couldn't imaging being there without those things. It's not just respect for yourself (which is important) but also respect for other people to keep fresh and clean and have good hygiene.
  11. I didn't even know Chase was there! Damn!! Yep she was there. She was up on one of the dealer stalls near the front of the hall. She was only signing her audio CDs but she was really happy to chat to me without buying a CD first time round. I went back later on during the day as I wanted to wait and see how much money I would have left and got a CD and autograph. Again I had another chat with her and she was lovely. It was so full at those tables you could barely pay attention. I hope she comes back!

  13. Ah the comic book awards. I shall never forget them : p It really reminded me of the Bi-Mon-SCI-FI con from that simpsons episode
  14. Curtis Armstrong: Really nice guy was happy to talk, and have a photo taken, personalised auto, the works. I'm glad plenty of people wanted to see him, because he's been in some great stuff. Ivy Doomkitty: really lovely and super nice. Posed with me on two different occasions! Terry Farrell: Seemed to be having a great time at her shoot and made everyone feel special. Michael Biehn: was good, a little chat and let me have a photo, glad I met him. Jason Mewes was good at his shoot, seemed to be having fun (along with tony head Saved the comic awards too) Billy Dee Williams: slightly quiet for his shoot but it was late (due to some issues unrelated to him) and maybe had been asked to zip through them. Stan Lee: don't know how he does it but somehow found a reserve of energy in his shoot, said Hi, I was amazed by him (he later put on the most charismatic Q+A I think I will ever see)

  16. Saturday was just like newcastle film and comic con but on an even bigger scale in terms of queues, demand and issues of people being like sardines. Actually it was worse but there were similarities. I generally had a good time but the atmosphere wasn't as much fun because of everyone being wound up. I really enjoy these events so I hope things are seriously looked at. They guy running photoshoot A on sunday for stan lee did a great job, full of praise for him. Unfortunately he had to try to be heard over the YALC talk going on and that must have been difficult. So give these guys a megaphone or a mic or something. The photoshoot layout was wacky. C's queue meshed with autograph queues, and rather than following D, E was the other side of the hall, so it went A,B,C,D,F then E right off into the distance. This confused a lot of people. Some of the congestion might have been eased a bit if space was better used. The drawing tables, and big cardboard standees for turtles and transformers took up a lot of useable room. I know a lot of people like to draw at cons but maybe those could have gone in brompton hall? You need to buy rope for queues inside, and hire barriers for outside. And handle the ouside queues more. I almost accidentally queue jumped myself on sunday because I thought I reached the end of the queue till a woman yelled at me (I can't say I blame her but it was an honest mistake). Signpost everything better. Better visibility and more of it. Not just at the stations themselves but more 'this way to' signs. Your crew work extremely hard. Give them all the info they need. I felt bad for them this weekend. Don't promise things we aren't getting; apparently the game of thrones talk's special guest was a pinata (a practical joke on the audience is fine if it is free but not if it's paid) same goes for the comic awards. People understood it to be an evening celebrating comics with guests. It only ran an hour and thank god for Antony Head, he really should be greatly praised for making it entertaining. I kind of feel bad for the people organising, they probably had grander hopes for it too, but for everyone who spent 20 quid on it, we were a little shocked at the brevity of it. Trailer fest was only 3 looped trailers. Though in all honesty I was glad of the seat. The programme raffle was a bit off. Maybe in each programme there should have been a detachable number than upon purchase you put that number into the hat. The programme itself was really nicely put together. I enjoyed the talks, Stan Lee knocked it out of the park. Although at first we almost didnt get in as we were told it was over capacity in the building. Loved the greenscreen photos. Keep em coming. Same goes for the old arcade machines. These were super popular (especially the star wars one) so please, please bring them back. Over all I had a good time but in some cases small revisions on showmasters part could have really helped. So I am hopeful that these will be seriously taken into account.
  17. It was one of my favourite parts too. I loved the arcade machines as I miss arcades. Super good
  18. So are all these being announced at the freebie givaway talk or something?
  19. I also loved it. I'm going back tomorrow :)
  20. It was certainly unusual but I guess I had a fun time. A very unique event. Maybe it'll become a bigger thing eventually. Tony Head was great.
  21. I darent leave EC2 to get to the other bulding in case I dont get back in
  22. I am now in my room. Now to sort stuff out and shower!
