I enjoyed today for how quiet it was. I had plenty of time to chat with the guests and although there were people waiting behind me I, and I would hope that nobody else felt at all rushed. I felt sorry for the vendors as they have put a good sum down to get floor space and there just weren't enough people there today. I wouldn't use the term overextended themselves, I would prefer they keep the conventions somewhat more spaced, I cant afford it otherwise. I had to miss Coventry because of the costs, and Eclipse may bust me. I don't think having the conventions this close had much effect on getting guests. It may have had some but its not a major factor. I would suggest if they are doing conventions this close again then just do it with the ones that are least likely to have similar fans. for example the last 2 weeks have been the same style of show but Autographica would have been rather different and wouldnt attract so many of the same people. Loved today, most peaceful con yet Perhaps only because I am so antisocial.

Matthew Lewis was possibly the best guest I have ever met. So down to earth I felt so comforable chatting with him. Anthony was great exactly as I thought he would be though. Very serious professional who could have a good laugh. Michael Winslow was hilarious. Obviously loves his talent. Emma Caulfield was almost too hot

I thought I recognised you, I had no idea you were crew, you were at Milton Keynes in a cheerleader costume, were you Crew back then?

Hail He said he was filming and would still be called back for more shoots up until September, Release in November. what's more is he confirmed that Deathly Hallows would be 2 films. Hail Matthew! He's such a descent lad.

Really looking forward to anybody's impressions today. I am going tomorrow and just cat wait.

Hi guys, Just after some information. Something has come up and i was wondering if people are able to just arrive Saturday morning and Sunday morning. The reason i ask this is that registration is supposed to be on the Friday so i wondered if we need to be there to get our tickets or if we can just pick them up Saturday morning. Ideally I am after one of the season one outfits and also one of the season 2 outfits if that is at all possible. It does include breakfast. I did get a paper confirmation through the post about 2 weeks after booking but i did book back in 2007 when i found out about Eclipse at LFCC 2007. If you want to check just give them a call to get them to check im sure they will be helpful, But i really wouldnt worry as most hotels work the same way and you pay on arrival. :)

I think most people here have had a bad experience with the thumbnails idea simply due to LFCC where it was used to resolve a problem as opposed to being developed on purpose.ig flashe I think (only for professional evening shot photos) thumbnails would be a good Idea, My friend had something like this at her wedding. the photographer was paid to work the wedding but in the evening she worked for herself and made a screened off area with a couple of big standing flashes. she took photos of guests who wanted nice professional pics and when there was nobody there went around taking candid shots of everyone at the reception. When my friend was back from her honeymoon she mailed me a website (which I wish I could find so I can post my example) with her wedding photos on. they were only thumbnails but when you clicked them you got a larger proof shot (which was watermarked to prevent theft) you could buy the pictures you wanted for £4.50 each. I got a couple of me and one of me and my boyfriend, they were really good and really natural shots. I think that in this example the thumbnails idea works perfectly. The good thing was it didn't cost my friend anything for the evening shots as the photographer worked for herself. If someone would do this for an event like eclipse it would work great, especially at the cocktail party.

jason Am i reading to much into this Showmasters or is there a possibility of more than ONE guest being announced on Monday evening??? as you state if word spreads you will attempt to get more than one guest announced for Monday. Thanks. xx

I agree with you in this respect, I would be more than happy to meet any of them (I really don't care who it is) I get excited if there is a new person added no matter who it is, the more Showmasters can get us the better. I suppose it depends on how you interpret who is a big character and who isn't. There are so many now and are they basing it on season 2 as well, as the focus on certain characters has changed? Id love to meet Masi Oka or Ali Larter as i have already met a few of the cast (they were all lovely) but it really does not concern me who it is as even if the topic just stated "New small guest announcement" I would be just as excited as to be honest i don't really see any of the actors as particularly small parts. Also if you ever get the chance (assuming he does not make it to Eclipse) go and meet Jack Coleman, he is so nice and is a top class bloke. See you all at Eclipsae and can i just point out that considering i bought me tickets back in October (Gold Passes) there is actually only 14 weeks and 5 days left to go. The time is flying. I cant wait. :) :) :)

I have just called to confirm my tickets are definatly booked and will get confirmation on Monday, I suggest if you haven't heard by Monday afternoon give showmasters a call on 01234 752485 between 12-7pm (you may have to keep trying) and check they have processed your tickets. Try calling 3 times in a row it seems to prompt them to answeras they are really busy but so helpful. However i spoke to them on Tuesday anyway to confirm how many tickets they had left and they still had half the gold passes and loads of standard and i was told they process them in order of arrival so if you did it before Tuesday you should have no problems (just call to confirm anyway to be sure). I think between us all we are kind of losing the point here and reading things into each others comments that are not really there (its really not a dispute it only a matter of opinion difference). I have just sat and read through this entire subject and at no point can i see anybody "having a go" at Malcolm (the photographer) Correct me if i am wrong but i believe from what i am reading that we all agree that the guy did the best he could in the circumstances he was presented with, it must have been exhausting. However the way the conference was run had its issues due to no limitations on sales or time restrictions (followed quickly by to many suddenly being implicated) on the photo shoots or the autographs. The blue background again is open to opinion (not heated discussion), as to preference, i agree that it gets the job done but that even with the blue background the lighting could have been better and a few seconds more taken to make sure the best pose could be caught in the image. Again this is not down to Malcolm just the circumstances he had to work with. I do agree with DEAP that some sort of alternative background/icon could have been used and it is possible to do this with minimal effort and time. Even something as basic as having a slightly different colour background for each guest. The guy has an opinion and should not be knocked down for it, as should none of us. I don't think you will ever get everybody to agree on the same thing so we all need to lighten up a little and accept each others opinion. This is not a b***h fest and the only people we are mad at is showmasters not each other and certainly not the photo guy. I have since spoken to show masters as well as read their apologies and acceptance of all the inconveniences caused and they have confirmed that they will look at all issues and rectify them going forward. It is bloody brilliant for a company to admit its failings and do something about them so lets keep them coming so that if they are read we might get taken seriously (lets not continue to argue with each other). Showmasters have confirmed to me they will not make the same mistake with Eclipse and are going to be limiting the number of tickets the sell to around 800 (thats including the 100 gold passes) and have confirmed that this will mean less of a rush and limitations on things so as to not put the guests or us under undue stress. All our ideas are taken very seriously. So please keep the ideas coming and lets see what happens.

When i first heard about Facebook i thought it sounded like another boring way to sit and spend a few hours, However i needed to sign up to look at some photos and found that its actually really ace!! You should all sign up, there is so much you can do and discuss. Take 5 minutes and take a look-What have you got to lose. xx

I booked me and my partner in 3 days ago and at that point they still had 21 rooms left in addition to the executive ones (We decided to stay in the executive anyway as you get bathrobes and more floorspace etc....) so they have booked up in the last couple of days. I would suggest grab a room quick if you want one as you don't have to pay until arrival and i confirmed with them that you can cancel up to 2pm on the day of arrival at no charge. You can't really beat that and they are quickly running down on the executive ones as well. (Plus free breakfast, cant beat it, plus if the nights are good youll need to soak up the alcohol before starting again. x) The phone number is 01604 739988. Good luck. I am so excited x
