  1. I would like to suggest Lola Larson who played Bambi in Diamonds are Forever - how about it?
  2. I would like to suggest Lola from Diamonds are Forever who played Bambi.
  3. Fantastic news for the July con - Jean Pierre Castaldi - but how about trying to get Leila Shenna the other person in the plane at the start of MOONRAKER who says "any higher Mr Bond and my ears will pop!" Failing that another 'Angel of Death' from OHMSS would go down a storm I am sure judging by Zara and Helen's queues.
  4. Does this apply to the photo shoot tickets or just the VIP ones?
  5. Will there be any prop photos at Sportsmania - like a photo op with a WBC boxing belt or the FA Cup like previous Sportsmanias?
  6. Sad to hear it guys, but Ed Mitchell, the sixth man on the moon and a frequent attender to Autographica has died at the age of 85. He was a good man and always willing to talk when you met him, as I did, and slowly but surely all the moonwalkers are leaving us. God Bless Ed.
  7. With the unprecedented success of Michael Lonsdale, Vijay and Karin, how about for the next show trying to get Lois Chiles and maybe Yaphet Kotto, with a sprinkling of Carole Bouquet to be the cherry on the top?
  8. Fantastic news - now Dave if only, if really only, you could get Gabriele Ferzetti who played Marc Ange Draco in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, now that would be the miracle. Can you do it?
  9. Howsabout Sigmund Jahn - the only East German astronaut to go in to space and also Felix Baumgartner?
  10. Whilst we're on this subject - how about any of these from Europe and other nations - they would make great guests: Dumitru Dediu was a cosmonaut of the Romanian Air Force. In 1978, Dediu was selected as the backup for Dumitru Prunariu for the Soyuz 40 mission. He currently serves in the Romanian Army and lives in Bucharest. Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu is a retired Romanian astronaut who also flew aboard Soyuz 40. Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma is a former Indian Air Force test pilot who flew aboard Soyuz T-11 as part of the Intercosmos program. Sharma was the first Indian to travel in space. Vladimír Remek wais the first Czechoslovak in space and the first cosmonaut from a country other than the Soviet Union or the United States, He flew aboard Soyuz 28 from March 2 to March 10, 1978, for seven days, 22 hours, and 17 minutes. In 2004 he was elected into the European Parliament. Maidarzhavyn Ganzorig was a Mongolian scientist. In 1978, he participated in the Soviet Intercosmos program and trained for a Soyuz space flight.
  11. Can't we get any Chinese astronauts such as Jing Haipeng, Liu Yang and Zhai Zhigang to come along - that would be fantastic or even Sigmund Jahn the German DDR astronaut?
  12. Paul Michael Glaser, one of the stars of the American TV series Starsky and Hutch, will play Tevye in Craig Revel Horwood’s new touring production of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof when it stops off at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton. The show, which visits Wolverhampton from 15 until 19 October, is one of 15 new productions confirmed for the Grand. What are the chances of getting Starsky for the show? Come on guys what fun would that be! Anybody agree? Running Ambassador
  13. I think he means Anthony Zerbe - rather than Starke. What about trying for Yaphet Kotto and Barbara Carrera two biggies who have been lined up in the past but unable to attend.
  14. Barbara Carrera or Yaphet Kotto are my suggestions - surely this year is the one for them?
  15. His contact details are as follows: Sigmund Jahn Fontanestraße 35 D-15344 Strausberg Germany If we all wrote inviting him, I bet he'd come - come on Showmasters - we've had first space walker and first British woman - how about first German?
  16. Sigmund Jähn, 74, was the first German in space. In 1978, Jähn, at the time a lieutenant colonel with the air force of the communist East Germany, orbited the Earth on board the Soviet space station Salyut 6.
  17. What about inviting Lieutenant General Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov (Russian: Михаи́л Тимофе́евич Кала́шников, Mihail Timofejevič Kalašnikov) (born 10 November 1919) a Russian small arms designer, most famous for designing the AK-47 assault rifle, the AKM and the AK-74. He is still alive and living in Russia in advancing years. What a coup to meetr and see such an intrinsic legend from 20th century.
  18. Good to be back at the Radisson, I remember the last time I was there I had the Micra - that seems an age, that was when Gloria Hendry, Trina Parks and Carole Ashby were there, to name a few - anybody remember that? I certainly see that they haven't changed the wallpaper since then! I must say that Susan Hampshire was the most wonderful and sincerest lady I have met in a long time. I went down primarily for her on Sunday, and she was such a fantastic lady - I am glad to have seen her - thank you Miss Hampshire. The photoshoots and attendance were a little sparse, I'm wondering if it was too close after a certain event at Earl's Court, and people were feeling the pinch? That may ccount for some of the sparseness alluded to, but I was still aiming to attend regardless. The organisation was up to its high standards and indeed the water and refreshments were an added bonus, I don't remember this from previous trips. After the photo shoot with Michael Jayston I went for a big run round Heathrow's terminals rather than hanging around for the pics to come back - got heavily lost for an hour and half but finally returned, coming back past the hotel down the road where the previous autographica was held when Tany Roberts and Linda Gray attended - I knew it looked familiar. After a towel down in the toilets - thanks for the towels Radisson - I hung about for the pics and chomped my way through a big mac and fries! After such efforts on the road, boy did I need it. I then saw how the whole of the show finishes, which I have never done before, seeing Kenny Baker wandering around the lounge area and Shane Rimmer setting off with his wife as he exited the lift. The papers with the guests names were strewn around in the rooms with Lana Wood's name and others on it. All in all it was worth going to see Susan and Ed Mitchell. On the way home had to have a kip in back seat at Oxford though, so looking forward to Birmingham and maybe Gene Cernan, or Jane Seymour? www.markdabbsrunningambassador.co.uk
  19. As John Hurt is coming how about getting YAPHET KOTTO who was also in Alien back on the scene. Iam sure he attended a show in London years ago and he would be fantastic. YAPHET KOTTO please.
  20. A few years ago YAPHET KOTTO from Aleins and also Live and Let Die appeared at the London show - how about getting him back seeing as John Hurt has made an appearance. YAPHET KOTTO please.
  21. I second Mr Porter's comments - she's a good guest and I am sure well worth it.
  22. I would just like to say what a genlteman and a kind and decent fellow Mr Atkinson was towards myself today. I know sometimes he has been labelled as controversial, but I think some of that is the media flagrantly using the journalism tag to print such stories. Out of all the guests I am so glad I chose him along with a few others to meet and publicly I say to you Mr Atkinson THANK YOU and also for inscribing your book for me to Walsall Hospice, and holding my scarf!
  23. Fantastic to see you up and ''running'' again Mr Porter, see you in the Christopher Lambert queue then Keith, eh? Haha - been finishing off 3rd year at Uni so been slightly manic here! Going to be using LFCC as a reason to celebrate and reward myself - hence 20ish photoshoots and god knows how many autos!! And yes, definitely see you in the Lambert queue! Is that a date then Keith? I'll be the one wearing the white carnation in my button hole!
  24. Fantastic to see you up and ''running'' again Mr Porter, see you in the Christopher Lambert queue then Keith, eh?
  25. It's not a Doctor Who Scarf - this is THE scarf!
