  1. Hi guys, wondering if you can help. My work have asked me to look into a good quality photo printer that we can invest in to provide prints for parents (I work in a school). I immediately thought of the photos that I get at the cons, and particularly the very speedy new machines that print the images in seconds. Could anyone on the team point me in the direction of a company/model so that I can add it to my list of possible machines. Any help would be fab! Thanks
  2. even if they did one or two shows in one con, id be surprised if there weren't enough fans of any of these shows to warrant doing it. def some of the biggest things on tv right now! booooooooooo!!
  3. After just returning from Hallowhedon 5 (which was absolutely awesome btw!), I was very eager to encourage my other half to join me at a future event. Well, knowing nothing about buffy/angel or any Joss's creations he said a hallowhedon would unlikely, but that he would definitely be interested in a horror/crime tv show convention. Then it hit me, why aren't there any right now? The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Bates motel... There are plenty of potential guests from all of these shows that I'm sure lots of people would be interested in so it's kind of a request to see how feasible a convention of this sort would be, and how popular the idea is? I have 5-6 friends, most of which are con newbies that said they would definitely do a weekend event for even just 2 of these shows so i'm sure there are plenty of others that would feel the same! So in an attempt to get people psyched, here is but a handful of guests for a dream Blood-fest convention! Bob Odenkirk: Breaking Bad's Saul Goodman Evan Peters: Multiple Characters from American Horror Story The Farmiga Sisters, Taissa and Vera from American Horror Story and Bates Motel Max Thieriot from Bates Motel anyone from this merry bunch of bandits! Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee and David Zayas from Dexter and of course the beautiful Julie Benz! I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
  4. Nothing a little Mark Lutz action couldn't cure
  5. You make a good point with Orlando, not the biggest star in movies he's done but certainly one who could be classed as a big guest and would make lots of people very happy!! Me for one lol! I think we can expect someone along those lines though!
  6. Sean Bean would cover a lot of bases. I doubt Christopher Lee would attend an event now, which is a shame as I'd love to meet him! With girlie rose coloured glasses I'd hope for Orlando Bloom! The next Hobbit instalment is coming up so he would be very relevant! *Dream on Lozzy!* Looking forward to this though! Thanks for your hard work booking guests guys; always appreciated!
  7. Just because he's awesome and on TV while i try and occupy myself for the next hour and a half... Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper! Anyone from the Big Bang Theory would be ace, even if they're not necessarily a "show maker" of the scale already debated! Imagine... we could easily break the world record for the biggest game of Rock, Paper, Scissor, Lizard Spock in the photo/signing queues without even trying!
  8. Joss Whedon would be incredibly awesome, as would anyone from the hobbit... but more than anything I just want to figure out the answer! I love guessing games roll on tomorrow at 8!
  9. yes yes and YES!! A SmodCast con would be AMAZING!! Hollywood Babble-On keeps me sane during my commutes to work every day!
  10. Billy and Dom for sure!!! they are so, so funny and so kind; they would be perfect for a weekend con! Having Elijah and Sean there with them would make it a dream come true! Aidan Turner and Dean O'Gorman would also be a good pairing, but any of the dwarves would be excellent!
  11. I would have to say right now it would have to be anyone from Dexter, American Horror Story or Walking Dead. A joint weekend con with cast members from any of these shows would be nothing short of amazing! Especially if it included David Zayas and C.S. Lee from Dexter, Evan Peters and Zach Quinto from AHS, and Steven Yeun and Norman Reedus from the Walking Dead. That would be a sure fire gold ticket on my next bank statement for sure! plus can you imagine the costumes at the parties?! Fake blood would sell out in the UK
  12. Im playing guest chicken and hoping to book once one or two more guests are announced. Just bought a place with my other half so I need to make sure i book for the event that offers the most value for money! very torn between this, Hallowhedon and ET, but never done a true blood con so secretly hoping this one comes up trumps!
  13. Alex (duh! ) but in the real world.. Jim Parrack Deb A.W Kristin Bauer now that Nelsan is already on the list anyway!
  14. firstly many thanks to massive events for what was a great first con with you guys! also apologies if my feedback has already been discussed but I'm eager lol! Generally I, and the people I went with, thought it was incredibly organised and efficient and the staff were very friendly. I feel that if the attendance had been much higher, there would have been a bit of hassle for everyone to line up for autos and photos in the area we were. On the flip side of this, I think that opening up the main hall during morning sessions for a place to wait, chat with friends or perhaps have screenings of episodes would be a nice idea (tidying up from parties allowed of course, although getting us all to help would be a nice bonus for you guys im sure!). I understand that viewing rights would be tricky here, but in situations like we had where amber and adam were willing to show us their new movie, we could have had it screened during morning sessions. This would also give the oppertunity for updates to be displayed on screen for when new group numbers are allowed to queue for various opertunities (which would keep the queing and steward questioning to a minimum) and to give general info about the con like the cross word sheet for example, or adverts for other events! Taking into concideration that there were other events going on around london this weekend, it still would have been nice to have a bit more of a dealers room, again for something to do while waiting for the chance to get auto's and photos. the parties were brill, and the effort put into theming the main hall was very much appreciated and a great addition. the only other thing (which is kind of guest dependant) is to have more group talks rather than individuals. While guests like amber and adam were very confident on stage by themselves, i think a greater chemistry was made by having at least 2 on stage at a time as they could play off each other. as a result i think the group talk on sunday was probably the most enjoyable of them all! I agree the drinks were expensive but that seems to be a fault of the hotel rather than the organisers, although we never had any hassle bringing in our own in bottles for those of you who didn't find the co-op garage down the road! Thats pretty much all the stuff I can think of. It was a great weekend and I look forward to coming to another Massive Events weekender soon *cough* do a dexter and walking dead one *end cough* Thanks dudes!
  15. The online shop is now closed so they will only be avavilable to purchase at the event. Sorry for being a numpty... I'm a bit excitabubble!
  16. Words cannot describe my excitement! never had a chance to meet tony before so this is a dream come true! do we buy photo tickets before hand as he is a late confirmation or on arrival?
  17. Me and mine are standard 12-14 I believe! Oh for the cash for a gold! Just glad to be there!
  18. Def agree, I know that an amazing time will be had at the con but I think the lack of info before hand definitely put some people I know off. Unfortunately it seems to be a catch 22 as far as ticket sales and guests go. But it did feel like we were left in the dark as it were for a long while over the summer, when even the party themes would have got us attendees excited. Id love to see one more guest announced before the event but I'm still looking forward to my first ME con and my first 3day con in 5 years regardless. Above all I'm very thankful for the hard work put into securing the 4 guests we do have too as they're all new meetings for me! ...fran wudnt go amiss tho
  19. It would definitely be the icing on the cake and an immediate photo ticket purchase lol! Let's keep our fingers crossed dudes!
