  3. Evil cat is not homeless, but he is evil!!!! He is currently plotting my downfall from his pad in Docklands with his evil kitty mates! I have already had several threats, and I am scared!!!!!!!!! You seem to be under the illusion that evil cat was lost or mistreated, when in actual fact this is all part of his maniacal plan to ruin me through his evilness!!! See how he's playing the martyr, and you're falling for it! Don't forget, the clue is in his name. Who you gonna believe, me, or evil cat, who incidentally hasn't been in contact with you yet, but just wait!!!!!! He is EVIL I tell you. I blame his mum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol ! That old nature vs nurture argument. Evil cat wasn't born evil, he was made that way by the person who brought him up! I'm going back into hiding now! Mark

  6. I think it would be cool not to be driven into an early grave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol! Mark
  7. I just want people to be reassured that we have no plans to move, close, or downsize Collectormania. As I said in another thread, Collectormania is unique in the world, and we are committed to making it bigger and better, with a high standard of guests. There are things that need to be changed, and part of the reason people enjoyed LFACC so much was due to certain changes we implemented based on C4. There is plenty of room for Collectormania and LFACC to co-exist in harmony, with both becoming bigger and better every time! Mark
  8. Jason and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported The London Film and Comic Con. In particular, ANDREA, who works far too hard, and far too much. We REALLY couldn't do it without you. JAMES and STEFF, who are better friends than we deserve. You know what you did, so I don't need to recant it here! Thank you. JOHN, for everything! All our crew, who make everything possible. You were great, and all worked so hard. You'll never know how proud we are, and how much we appreciate you all. All our forum members. You are such a unique group of people who have created an amazing community that we are so proud of. It's almost like our baby!!!!, although it is exactly what YOU have all made it. And last but not least, everyone who attended the London Film and Comic Con. Your support has given us a glimpse of what is possible. We have some amazing plans for LFACC 2 in November, and I think it safe to say that we think you will all be pleased. You all contributed to an event that we are proud to be associated with. The atmosphere was incredible from the moment we set foot in the hall, to minute we left, and all the time in between. Jason and I lose a little bit of ourselves every time we run one of these events, but I can honestly say that after a weekend like we have just had, it is all so worthwhile. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to achieve this in our lifetime. Thank you to you all, and we'll see you at Collectormania 5! Mark and Jason
  9. Hi all, I just wanted to say once and for all that we will NEVER move Collectormania from The Centre MK. I can't be any clearer than that!!!! We realise the venue does limit some of the things that we can do, but it is also unique in so many other ways that could not be replicated anywhere else. I wonder if people realise that Collectormania is actually unique in the world! Collectormania is what it is partly because of the venue, and we do not, and will not change that. There are many things that we can do to improve and refine the event, and we will do them, but the one thing we will not do is move the event. We have great plans for LFACC, and there are many things that we can do there that we can't at Collectormania, and vice versa. We intend for the 2 events to become quite different, and ultimately between the two of them they should cater for everyones needs. All the best, Mark P.S. What makes people think that the NEC is more expensive than Wembley?!?! P.P.S If Clare or Jackie read this, I also hope this puts your minds at rest!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hi pippinssweatypants (?????!!!**???!), Feel like i am already (and it would be an honour !) !!!!!!!! I may not make an appearance at a show too often but I am always in the background feeling a mixture of all sorts of emotions - depending on what's going on at the time !!!!!! - but mostly just hoping that everyone has a great time.Naturally, it's upsetting if people go away with any complaints, but if the problems are valid, I know that the Showmasters team try their best to rectify it for the next time. And, hey, isn't it great when things go well ?!- people must go away from the shows having made new friends, celebrity and otherwise, walking on air and with silly grins on their faces as they remember special things that have happened during the day !!!- a truly magical experience. So thanks to all the smashing people who support the shows - roll on C5 (I'm not sure that's quite how Mark and Jason are feeling right at this minute though !!!! - give them a couple of weeks to recover !!!!!!) So.................. Night night, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite !!!!!!!!! love Mum x !!!!! N.B how bizarre does life get ??!!!??!
  11. Hi there, Emma and Andys website address is : www.smokeycreative.com where you can find out more about them and their paintings - they are great, aren't they ! Anyway, hope this helps, and hope you've had a great time at the show. Best wishes, Emmas mum !! (aren't I the lucky one !!!)
  12. I realise that not everyone who visited the LFCC had a perfect day but it seems that some feel they need to point blame directly at our crew and volunteers. If you did experience any problems we are really sorry, however we cannot condone any finger pointing at the people who gave up their time to help us. If you have any complaints then contact us directly, our e-mail address is on our sig or on any of our websites. Andrea Showmasters.
  13. I think the paintings you're talking about are ones done by Showmaster Marks sister Emma and brother-in-law Andy. They go under the name of Smokey Creative and their website address is : www.smokeycreative.com They will be only too happy to discuss any of their work with you, but are at the show helping out all weekend. Hope this helps and that you are lucky enough to get something sorted out. Bye for now Showmaster Marks mum !!
  14. It's Sunday morning and I thought I'd just say a quick HELLO! to everyone at the show (I've sneaked away from the Organisers Booth for a few minutes to type this, but it's back to work soon!). If you are still here please feel free to hang around in the Forum Lounge where we have internet access and some live webcam interviews. If you have any comments, praise, gripes or suggestions please post them here and we'll read them tonight when we finally get home.
  15. There is now one small video to watch. If you go to the londonfilmandcomiccon.com front page you will see a link to the live Videos just below the title. This will take you to the video page. At the top is Wembley's live webcam which is not everso clear but its there. If you can find it you can wave to the world. Then you will see the first clip featuring Bruce Hopkins and Sala Baker. You have a choice of sizes to download depending on your connection speed. You need Quicktime to view. There is a link at the bottom of the page if you need to install it. We will put lots of clips on tomorrow all day and we will be editing them in the forum area where there is also an internet cafe for you to logon and post your comments. We can also download photos from digital cameras for you. Heres to a great weekeend See you all there.
  16. We just wanted to say that we hope you all have a great time at The London Film and Comic Con. Thank you for all the support you have given us, and don't be afraid to say hello! The Showmasters Team
  17. The plan is to add to the website short video clips of the guests and around the show in general throughout the weekend. This is subject to us working out the technical side tomorrow, but it should happen OK. Watch the front pages of LFCC and Collectormania for a link button to a page that will costantly be added to with new clips from tomorrow onwards. Watch out for Andy and Ray with the camera and you might just get on there. They will be araound the forum area where there will also be computers online for forum members to use. See you there.
  18. Hi, As you may be aware we have been spending the past few months trying to arrange for a number of comic artists and writers to appear at our first London Film and Comic Con. Unfortunately as of this moment we have been unable to secure any well known names in the comic world. One of the major problems we came up against was that many of the high profile comic guests arrange their appearances well in advance and most were already booked in to appear at one of the three large comic conventions taking place this weekend in the USA, Ireland and Italy. Several other possible comic related guests were also contacted but were tied up with their current projects and couldn't spare the time over the weekend. However on the plus side, most of the major artists we have spoken to over the past month have expressed an interest in attending one of our future events, which is a major step forward and should pave the way for future LFCCs. Over the rest of this year we will continue to contact new and exciting guests from the comic world and already have several trips planned to other comic events around the world to meet with high profile comic creators and their publishers. And even though there won't be any major artists appearing at this show we do have a comprehensive selection of major comic dealers attending, selling gold and silver age comics and the latest publications. I'm sure you can understand that getting a show like this off the ground is a tricky business and unfortunately there will be a few teething problems with the first event. We are sorry that, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to bring you any major international artists for this first event. However please rest assured that we are trying to change this and we do value your support. Andrea Showmasters

  20. The 3000 spaces are all the ones in The Wembley complex. It should be made pretty obvious if you need to pay for where you are, but bascially if you are in the Wembley complex it is free! Mark
  21. One of our show sponsors, Uniquities, has a great selection of swords. They will be at LFACC! Mark
  22. There aren't any cash machines in The Wembley complex itself, but if you just walk up to the main road there are loads of shops etc, and there must be several cash machines there. So in short, I would say that there must be cash machines within a 5 minute walk. Mark
  23. We are having intermittent problems with the site at the moment purely because of the number of people hitting it!!!!!!!!!! It should be resolved now, but do let us know if you have any further difficulties. Thanks Mark
  24. There was a problem, but it is sorted now! Mark
  25. Thankyou Showmasters for answering my query. I hope you understand that if I didn't ask, I would have always wondered, so I had to ask! That's cool! Mark
