My local cinema is doing a double bill of Infinity War and Endgame. Seeing IW on the evening of the 23rd, and seeing Endgame the morning of the 24th. Looking forward to it immensely.

The Vampires of Venice - This is a classic Who story. Have a good idea then fail to develop it. Aliens disguised as humans is not a new idea and Whitehouse doesn't make this anything special. However it's not a bad episode. The main cast are great. Helen McCrory and Alex Price are excellent. The production design and location are good. But the rest is all a little bit meh. 4/10

Totally agree that The Weeping Angels became less creepy the more they were used. Went to a Doctor Who exhibition a few years ago. Wasn't that bothered by the Angels. But even as an adult to hear a Dalek say "exterminate" did send a shiver down the spine!

That scene with Amy at the end was dreadful, I didn't think it deserved to be spoken about. I hated it the first time I saw this episode, and I still hate that scene now. This episode manages to keep the Angels chilling despite showing them far more frequently than in Blink, however in my opinion this is the last time they were truly creepy. The second episode definitely picks up the pace, but I can't help but feel like the first part is too slow. Once it gets going in the second part it is great.

I've started watching the BSG reboot. Yes, I know I'm waaayyyy late. I had a few hang-ups due to being old enough to remember (and love) the original. It's pretty cool. I'm up to Richard Hatch's appearance, ouch. Also LOVED The Umbrella Academy over on Netflix. And of course Discovery.
