  2. Just would like to say, I attended Friday and Saturday and both days were a treat, From getting into the venue and walking around. Plenty of space to move around. All the guests I met were really great, very chatty. I did all the Fenergi Photos and they came out really good. So pleased with them. The green screens were cool too, Photos were again excellent. Again I would like to say a massive thank you to the SM staff who worked really well and kept everything running so smooth. Well done to you all.

  3. i was wearing a Manchester Storm ice hockey jersey with Long 89 on the back, today I was wearing a Manchester Storm shirt with Ruopp 2 on the back and tomorrow another storm jersey with Rosehill 37. had my photo taken with Jeri today Can’t wait for her “Seven Of Nine” panel tomorrow. Normally don’t ask questions at panels but I will be tomorrow. So far Jeri has been fantastic all weekend & it’s been well worth coming to see her as normally not good in crowds & noise because of my autism

  5. Nichelle wasn’t well today and unfortunately was not able to attend. Showmasters have stated that assuming she is well enough to attend tomorrow all Saturday photoshoot tickets will be valid for Sunday. Any Saturday tickets not used for the Sunday shoots will be automatically refunded. I wish her well and hope she gets better soon. She really did not look well at all when I met her on Friday.

  7. I was at the event yesterday and there's more dealers here than the last time. Didn't notice any Cirroc photos on the dealers tables but I wasn't looking that closely but there is a good selection of photos on the official table at £3 each. Very good value I thought.

  8. Feeling absolutely fantastic as......I MET JERI TODAY ! since she wasn’t one of my allocated autographs i made one of my priorities today to get her autograph as thought she’d be incredibly busy tomorrow & Sunday. So as soon as she was at her table I got in her autograph queue & got her autograph. Shes even more incredibly stunning & beautiful in the flesh and she was indeed really lovely as was able to have a brief chat with her as she signed this photo. Can’t wait for my photo with her tomorrow & her panel on Sunday

  9. Still at the event queueing to get into the opening ceremony (which seems weird after we’ve done so much already), but here’s a selfie this “odd” (see what I did there) man insisted on getting with us when he saw my kilt

  12. Planet Of The Spiders- We've reached the end of the Pertwee era. And sadly it isn't the best. It's very enjoyable, but I'll explain my issues with it soon. Pertwee gives a great final performance, and most of the other characters are great. Tommy particularly stands out. I like how the story resolves plot threads from earlier in the Pertwee era, such as regarding his trips to Metabelis Three in previous stories. Some of the other supporting characters suffer from poor dialogue and poor acting. Car chases and action sequences were a large part of the Pertwee era, so it makes sense that there is a huge, over the top chase in this story. However it does feel like padding as there really was no need for it to be as long as it was. The story isn't the strongest, and a lot of it does feel slow. The spiders themselves weren't very interesting wither, to be honest. The Great One impresses though purely through its apparent size and scale. Pertwee's final scene is heartbreaking to watch, and the acting from him and Elizabeth Sladen is fantastic. The regeneration itself is simple and effective, and personally I think it workd far better than the over the top explosive regenerations from modern Who. Overall- 7/10. Overall rating for Season 11- 8/10 This season had strong incredibly strong stories, but there are a few poor stories which pull it down.

  13. Like a lot of horror fans I am excited about the release of the new Halloween film (I am going to watch it next weekend!). It got me thinking however about the lesser known gems which get overlooked. Here are some of my favourites that I recommend. Would be interested in reading other people's! Downrange. New release that I watched a couple of weeks ago. It's the usual scenario of a group young people get stranded in the middle of nowhere getting picked off. It's original though in that it's surprising on who gets killed and the ending has a refreshing twist to the usual ending that these kind of films have. P2. The ever brilliant Wes Bentley stars as a loner working at a parking lot for a company. He gets a little too obsessed with a lady working there. Then on Christmas Eve she stops over and ends up being the last one to leave ... When The Lights Went Out. A great ghost film set in the 70s allegedly based on a true story. Hush. I think this is a Netflix only film. It's a home invasion movie with the twist being that the occupant is deaf. A great atmospheric film and very tense at times! Julia X. Plot is about a woman who turns the tables on her date that she met on the Internet. The cast must have had a great time filming this. The action is almost cartoon like at times. Dr Giggles. I was intrigued by this one when I read that Holly Marie Combs and Glenn Quinn starred in it. It is proper old school fun movie. Mischief Night. A mix between Hush and When Stranger Calls. Even Lambs Have Teeth. Similar to I Spit On Your Grave. Though not as good it is still enjoyable.

  14. That's certainly an interesting list. I've seen and loved Hush, but I must admit I've never heard of the others. I may have to check them out if I get the chance.

  16. You must have been just in front of us in the queue! Pity I didn’t know you were here. She loved Lyndsey’s custom made Funko Pop of Seven of Nine. She’d actually retweeted a picture of it a few weeks ago so when she saw it she was very happy. She even let Lyndsey take a photo of her holding it even though she wasn’t doing photos at the table. We were so lucky. I’ll post the picture in the picture thread soon when I get everything organised after the weekend is done

  17. Fred Haise was a pleasure to meet this afternoon. He spent some time writing some short words on the photos that I had for him to sign. "My ride to the Moon" on the Saturn 5 floodlit photo is my favourite. He spoke about the First Man movie and showed us photographs of his dogs when the conversation got round to pets. I would recommend meeting Fred if you get the chance and to go to his talks this weekend. He has a real life story of survival to tell and chances to meet people like Fred don't come very often.

  18. I’m fairly sure last time they had a very limited amount of non DST stuff, especially if the actor was very known for something else. I could have sworn my partner bought her Pricipal Snyder pic for Armin Shimmerman at the official table and I’m fairly sure I saw one of Terry Farrell from Hellraiser 3. Even if I’m wrong the traders are no fools. There were plenty of traders that had IMO (sorry Massive Events) better pictures than the official table. I got some beautiful limited edition A3 prints of TOS cast actors that were there which look incredible. Like I said everyone rushes to the official table first thing while the other traders are quiet so it’s definitely worth a browse.
