  3. I bring mine to work for scanning of a few reasons. First, I am lazy..their works faster. It is a laser scanner and it is way too expensive for me to get my own, and my friends at the advertising dept know how to use it way better than me Ok, the size are big but the bonus thing is they ”mend” the photos for me, light..blur ..colour.. whatever. I have tried but not the patience. This service cost my a bottle of whisky and it is worth it.

  5. Maybe the "red carpet" part is a premier? Either way, I'm excited to see this, so I got my tickets. Thanks again for the help, everyone.

  6. Hey it’s your opinion no one can tell you it’s wrong. If you think it’s worth a 10 then it’s worth a 10

  7. Sorry I’ve been far too busy to get on here and share my thoughts. You’re really cracking through them. Even the audio only ones which I’m sure must be easier to find time for. You’re really handing out those 10/10’s. I’m not sure I agree with a lot of them. War Machines is tremendous and very atmospheric and I love the now historical feel of what was obviously contemporary at the time but I wouldn’t go 10/10. That whole “Doctor Who is required” nonsense still grates every time I hear it. 10th Planet also not quite worthy of a 10. Great base under siege but the Cyberman are not well thought out on their initial appearance and don’t really get going until the 2nd Doctors era. That said that is still my favourite Cyberman design. Totally agree about the Faceless ones. It’s another that I wish they would animate the remaining missing episodes of. It’s got a tremendous performance from Pauline Collins who was asked to stay on a companion but she turned it down. She also went on to play Queen Victoria in the 10th Doctor story Tooth and Claw. It’s also got Benadict Cumberbatch’s Mum in it. The use of the real Gatwick airport adds a realism too.

  10. The Faceless Ones- This is a hugely underrated story. The Chameleons are brilliant villains, and the whole identity loss aspect is a rather frightening concept. The characters are all great, and the story doesn't drag at all, despite its length. Dialogue is great as well. As a final story for Ben and Polly, it is pretty good. Their final scene is effective. I truly believe that this story would be lived by many it is was to be recovered, as it is so good. Overall- 10/10.

  11. Unless SM offer the digital copies in RAW-format (jpeg I guess) having your own photos scanned with a good scanner makes no difference. I have scanned mine and there are no visable difference, and it also depends on what monitor you use.

  15. Glady I can count :-D just.... But I had a big room just for films, moved house twice and have most boxed up for over a year. Sadly unless I open all boxes I cannot even guess :-D Heres one wall. This was years ago I am sure you could double that at least now. Imagine all them if they were Steelbooks. The weight! My floor could collapse....

  16. Okay, I think now is the time I have to write this because we have been getting a number of requests asking "why validation is taking so long". So: Forum validation. I realize not all forums do this, and if you try to register her it may seem strange and annoying. I wish we could get rid of it, but we can't. Not only because of a huge spam bot issue - there's only so and so many times a mod can face clearing 101 p*rn spam bot posts involving animal pictures without getting nuts. Unfortunately there's also an issue with people trying to create troll accounts and create trouble on purpose, and banned users who declared they "don't want to post in this horrible place anyway", but then try to sneak in again. Some are easy to spot, some go through real trouble to get back on here. For the record, I caught one person 17 times. I realize the last two things sound insane and unreal to any regular thinking human being. Almost 50 pages of notes I took during my time as a mod here say it is very real though. I do try to validate accounts at least every three days. During slow periods (like now) or when I am busy or sick this may on occasion turn into a week, because I am a human being and on occasion I forget things. With our software we are currently using the approval has to be done manually. Also me being a human being means that sometimes I won't react to questions straight away because I am not online. I have a boyfriend, a family, a job and I play Pokemon Go. (Yes, I still play that.) And most important, this pesky being human thing also means that sometimes I require sleep. For those who do not know, I am in Germany and Germany is an hour ahead of the UK. So if you register Friday night it is later on Friday my time, and due to me being a volunteer like the other mods too the chances are 99 percent I am not sitting on the computer waiting for registrations to come in and validate them. People having such completely unrealistic expectations were the reason I have removed my private e-mail from here. Some may have seen the post I put up explaining why I did this. I do not mind if you e-mail me if you still have it. However, if you start freaking out on me when I do not reply to you within a couple of hours this might get you a reaction you don't like. Also, please give me some time for the validation. Do not start going "why can't I post?" before you even completed your registration, or because your registration is not completed over night. January isn't even over and there's already been several of these questions including the two I mentioned above and two pretty bad freak outs at my e-mail address, one for an isse I don't even handle and one about a guest announcement I most definitely don't handle. I swear no one is ignoring anyone, but please everyone: we are no machines.
