  2. Bringing post-it notes of your name can also avoid hilariously awkward situations where you state your name and your convention partner (who is your mother) says it's nice and easy and the guest raises his eyebrows and jokes he's not gonna make any comments about her daughter and "easy". Weirdly specific example here totally hypothetical and absolutely didn't happen...

  12. @Nerd Who I would love it if this happened! I think they should bring the 12th Doctor’s TARDIS to the con as a sort of tribute to Peter. If they don’t want any of the old sets or props I’ll have them!

  13. Please please please get Natalie Dormer back, she was amazing last year, my favourite guest ever I'd pay anything for her

  14. Well, relating to Doctor Who, there was an unnamed exhibition/museum thingy until a few months ago, which was full of now unused Doctor Who sets & props that SM might hire for LFCC? Considering the high caliber Doctor Who guests we have this year, it’d be the cherry on top, just saying I’ve seen many different TARDIS consoles and boxes, as well as the Mr Smith console and Torchwood’s Hub Door, at several events before. I hope they haven’t permanently dismantled any of them even though those series are over, but maybe bringing them to this Con would be a way to put them to good use once more

  15. I endorse this advice. There's nothing worse than thinking you've got a nice spare couple of hours to get a few autographs and then it turning out the people you want are away from their desks. I mean, there are things worse than that, but it's still annoying.

  23. Just to give everyone a heads up, please by all means continue suggesting because it may give SM some good ideas, but please don't get too excited thinking there's a good chance these might happen - remember that the sets have to exist for SM to book them in. They won't be building the most popular suggestions

  27. Less to carry is always ideal! I print my tickets as I prefer it, no risk of the phone crapping out but I know a lot prefer not to have them printed as well. Ohhh that reminds me of another suggestion for the Newbie thread.

  31. So I guess this is what it would take for me to come back! I shall be there. For those asking about Bat Out Of Hell, I'd be extremely, extremely surprised if he refused to sign it. I'll be bringing vinyls of BOOH and BOOH II, along with a vinyl of Rocky Horror. However, just like someone like Patrick Stewart, if you brought him someone else, I think he'd be really interested to see it. BOOH and BOOH II are without question the pinaccles of his career, but I've occasionally enjoyed some of his other work - Hang Cool Teddy Bear wasn't bad, for example.

  33. Ohhhh Natalie is awesome in the films. We can wish for all the ladies from The Descent! Now that would be amazing. Never crossed my mind! I am hopefully meeting the Director Neil Marshall in a few months, get him to sign my Blu Ray and a chat. Got Shauna when she was in Newcastle a while back. So any other of the cast would be welcome :-D
