  1. I've just been to the on-line shop to order my photo tickets but can't see any for Kristanna Loken. Are they definitely on sale now? The last one I can see is on page 4 for Ben Browder on the Saturday.
  2. Hiya, There tends to be 2 photo areas at the events and so there's a possibility that photo sessions you want will overlap. The photo tickets also tend to be colour coded (colour strip down the right hand side) and the queues are by colour code, so it's possible to roughly estimate when you'll get through. My advice would be that if you have 2 sessions which overlap go to the one which starts first, or if they start at @ the same time, go to the one with the shortest allocated time, @ 10-15mins earlier (or when a crew member is there) and explain to the crew member that you have a clash and they will ensure that you get through in time to get to the other session. I've had several clashes at the last 3 or 4 events I've been to and have always got my photos done with no problem - just needed a bit of planning when the times are announced on the forum, turning up to the first session early, speaking to the crew member and then just relaxing. I'm also interested in the Klingon session (and have ordered my ticket already as I expect it to be a sellout), and the Tim & Robert sessions. With Tim & Robert I don't expect that they'll have really massive queues for them so may wait until the day and see if they're doing posed photos at the autograph desk. This 'plan' may change though depending on what time the photo sessions are, whether there'd be time beforehand to get their autograph and whether they're doing photos at the desk (if not then I need to get photo session tickets). In the end it comes down to planning (especially if you want to see a number of people and want to go to talks etc) and personal preferences. As I've been to quite a number of these now I always work out my personal schedule beforehand based on time of photo sessions/talks/who I want to see and their likely popularity/what days they're going to be there etc. This way I'm not dashing about trying to work out 'what's next' and always fit everything in and generally have a relaxing, stress-free couple of days. Kate I've met before and she's a great person to meet and chat to. Hope this helps. Cheers & maybe bump into you in one of the queues!
  3. From past experience, at LFCC there is, but at this last weekends C15 there wasn't so Gold pass holders had to queue with everyone else. It wasn't really a problem for me as the doors had already opened when I arrived and everyone had already gone in and at the organisers booth I picked up my pass reasonably quickly. So I was happy
  4. Hello Enigma. I agree with everything you say. Definitely an almost stress free weekend and my autograph pack was one of the best I've had so far. I picked my Gold pass up on the Friday afternoon and, seeing the queues on Saturday morning, I'm glad I did. I've got a Gold pass for LFCC next month as well. Maybe I'll see you there. You never know......maybe you will! Can't miss me.......short, fat, tattooed, bald bloke! And those are my good points
  5. I also had a Gold pass and thought that it was well worth the money this time. I had 9 photo sessions during the 2 days, with 6 on Sunday and I was at the front of the queue for all of them, except Leonard Nimoy's as I also had John Delancie at the same time. But I was allowed into the Nimoy session as soon as I got there. Also, with the autograph sessions, I wanted all the very popular guests as well as a few others, but I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to see anyone, including Leonard Nimoy. However, I did notice that some queues, such as Leonard Nimoy's, did seem to be very long at times, especially considering how the VT system is supposed to work i.e short queues. I guess I was just lucky to get there when it was much shorter. Overall, I saw everyone I wanted & had time to look around the stalls, didn't have to rush & felt stress-free at the end of each day. I do agree with the issues regarding the entrance & organiser's booth as I think there should have been specific doors for the Gold pass holders and a separate area to collect the gold passes & packs. I have had Gold passes before & sometimes thought it was a waste of money, but other times, such as this time, felt it was worth it.......for me, anyway. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days I was there, thought all the guests I met were friendly and I'm now looking forward to LFCC next month...when I also have a Gold pass!
  6. I'm beginning to wonder whether John DeLancie will eventually be announced as cancelled. My thinking being that it's been a while since the announcement he's going to be there but, as yet, his picture doesn't appear on the website and his photo session isn't in the on-line shop. Leonard Nimoy's are already even though he was announced very recently!!
  7. Well, here's my thoughts I don't know of any of Matt's work so don't know if he's 'good' or 'not so good' or ideal for the role or not. So I'm not going to make any judgements about him - I'm just going to wait and see how he does. I've seen a few posts that he's not that good and there were 'better' actors up for the role - but how do you know? After all look at how many great actors have been rubbish in some of the roles and the other way round. After all, no-one can say that Arnie Schwarzenegger was a great actor but he was perfect for Terminator! Also many don't believe that Keanu Reeves is a great actor but look at the original Matrix film - he was great in that! So maybe The Doctor is the perfect role for Matt - time will tell. My one hope is that he's sufficiently different to the Chris Eccleston & David Tennant Doctors to make the role his and not just seen as a 'clone'/'imitation' of the others. So, looking forward to 2010 (and 2009, of course!).
  8. This is really a query for SM, who I appreciate may not know the answer yet. Patrick Stewart's talk is currently scheduled for 3:15 on the Sunday and will last @ 40mins - I was wondering whether he'll be doing more signings after the talk. The reason I ask is that as part of the talk all attendees get a 12" by 16" print (which I assume is un-signed) and would have liked the opportunity to have it signed afterwards. If SM (or anyone else for that matter) knows the answer I'd be very grateful. And I hope everyone enjoys the show this weekend.
  9. I assume that there are extra tickets due to 'popular demand' - which doesn't surprise me. My one concern is that he's only there for the Sunday which tends to be a 'shorter' day and with even more photo tickets being sold he'll have even less time for the autograph signing which is a shame for those who only want his autograph and can't afford both autograph and photo ticket (as applies to some friends of mine who are going). This probably means he'll only end up signing for a couple of hours or so which will leave a lot of people disappointed.
  10. Usually spend @£350-£400, but this time I've ordered a gold pass so probably @£550-600 this time (including travel, hotel, food etc). I tend to meet @ 10 - 12 guests plus 4- 5 photo shoots plus a couple of things off stalls (currently collecting minitures of the Star Wars Lightsabers). Most expensive was LFCC last year when spend @£1,300.
  11. I've been to every Collectormania at MK since C3 in 2003 and LFCC last year when Patrick Stewart and the Heroes guests were there. Been to one other event at the *****, but prefer the Cellectormania's at MK. Must say they're the highlight of my year (sad I know, but true!) and I've met some great people there (guests and attendees - made some great new friends who I've stayed in touch with ever since and meet up at the events). I'm now on my 3rd album and will reach my 100th guest at C13 . So glad I discovered them.
  12. I've just seen this thread and was at first confused about announcement and cancellation at the same time - then I read most of the posts. I've now just looked at the other events website and notice that Marina Sirtis was a guest there, but is also going to be at C12. So why is it OK for Marina to attend both, but not the 4400 guests, I wonder? Food for thought?
  13. This is a bit of an ambiguous question really. After all, is the question about how much would you pay for the actual autograph or would you include all of the additonal costs to obtain the autograph? i.e. I really wanted to get Patrick Stewart's auto so went to LFACC recently (an event I'd never considered before because of transport costs etc). So there was the train fare (£40), the cost of the hotel (£120), entrance to LFACC for the 2 days (£20), cost of the 2 autographs (£50) - a total of £230. Then my family came with me to London and went to see a show, so there was their train fare (£60), cost of the show tickets (£200), meal out (£100), hotel cost (£120 for a second room) - so an additional £480. A total of £710! Then, of course, there was the money I spend on stalls (£100), other autographs (£120), photo sessions (£110) - so yet another £330. This means that I spend at least £1,040 that weekend just because I wanted to get Patrick Stewart's auto! So I guess my answer is £520 per autograph - but never again!!!!!!!!!!
