Ah no worries. I'm used to ppl overlooking me and your red hair and the green bag just stood out. I tried to make eye contact and grin at you a couple of times before but you were usually looking the other way or me and my friends were just on our way somewhere else. I enjoyed it A LOT! My man was there (I refused to believe it until I saw him with my own eyes on Sat morning) and I'm so glad I didn't puke on him, I didn't faint, I didn't turn into a speechless fish, no I actually managed to get a few (I think) coherent sentences out (although I think I scared him a little bit ). So proud of myself. Even my pictures with him (yes, plural, I got 2!) turned out okay-ish although I think I look a bit like a deer in headlights and I should have never looked him into his (beautiful gorgeous) eyes because everything from that moment until the moment I walked out of the room on very wobbly knees, terrified my legs would give away and I would fall flat on my face, is a bit of a blur or totally gone from my memory. But it all was well worth it. Oh another memorable moment: Me getting my pic signed by Katy Wix who asks me where I'm from. Me: Germany. KW: Oh, there's a lot of Germans here... I think I've already met like 10 this morning. Me: Yes, I know... I was hoping I'd be special coming from Germany but nooo the whole place is crowded with them. (I was trying to make a joke...) KW: *looks at me clearly thinking: weirdo* Me: *hole in the ground... please... swallow me* BTW anyone planning to attend another show? They announced Gareth as a guest this week? Of course, knowing the another show peeps, there's a pretty good chance that they will un-invite him again as soon as someone more Star Trek-y signs on. Happened before...
-
Yeah, there's another show and another show in Bonn. Not a LotR fan and I like Star Trek but I'm never that excited about the guests they invite and the one time they invited someone I'd LOVE to meet, they withdrew the invitation after a month because according to them, there wasn't much feedback to his announcement. I'm still wondering how they knew? It's not like you buy a ticket and tell them: I'm coming because you invited guest xyz? And he's not related to Star Trek in any way, so I never quite understood why they invited him in the first place but I was peeved that they de-invited him nevertheless. Morons... I'll just shout something in German... if the person doesn't react, it's probably not you! LOL! Me: brown hair, black coat, red bag. Slightly greenish skin color because ready to puke on trails. And not nervous at all.

Yup, I'm a con virgin. I blame Gareth for popping it. No seriously... there just are no (interesting) cons in Germany, so where would I go? I will look for a flaming red-head.
-
Haha, great!!! Okay, I'll be that nervous wrack in company of to nice ladies who'll pat me on the back to tell me I'll be fine and (presumably) laugh at me behind my back. If you'd like company, I'm sure you're welcome to join us (and join my friends with the back patting and laughing).

Anyone else on the train that leaves Euston Station at 1:23pm?
-
My flight is on Thursday, Frankfurt - Heathrow and my friends and I take the train up to B'ham on Friday. 1:23pm from Euston station. Maybe we end up in the same train? Have you already booked the train?

... a blowfish driving a sports car?
-
Well, that is not me in my avatar. But I posted a pic of me somewhere... um... Ah! Found it! Link So feel free to chat me up when you see me or PM me if you want my cell phone number! Btw, when are you flying to the UK? Are you flying to B'ham or London?
-
I'm just trying to save me some embarrassment LOL! Happened quite a few times that I spoke to someone for hours in English only to find out that they were German.

Hey guys, just had a thought. Since it seems, I won't be the only German in B'ham this next weekend (dayum and I thought I was special LOL!), I thought maybe we could have a little German meet-up? Don't get me wrong, I'm traveling with 2 friends which I don't get to see too often (one is from the UK, the other from the US) so I'll be happy to spend the weekend with them but we could... dunno... meet up for coffee at one point or something? Have a drink and a laugh at one of the parties? It's just that I don't know (m)any German Torchwood fans, so I thought it would be nice? Maybe?
-
For what I know, there will be a lot of Germans at this con But we'll come in peace Speak for yourself, sheepyie, speak for yourself! LOL! I'm just kidding

Germans are invading the Torchwood world!

Are you sure the Tennant eppy of SJA will be shown on the weekend of the Hub? I just read the airdate will be 29/30 October which would be 1 weekend later... http://www.denofgeek.com/television/321922...ies_3_news.html ^^^ Link contains casting spoilers for S3 of SJA

I have my own personal "Ianto" who makes sure me and our other friends get everywhere on time. She doesn't clean up after us but she holds onto our tickets which is just as important. LOL! I'd be truly lost without her and would never make it to any fun events like John Barrowman concerts at the RAH, the Hub3 or La Cage!

I just booked my flight today... and my ticket for La Cage. Next step: Buy presents for friends and check if I need to buy any cosmetics and stuff. I'll do that maybe 1 week before my flight. Packing: The day before my flight.
