  1. hey yik, looking fwd to catching up. i popped into the shop the other day. i think that was the first time i haven't seen u in the shop. this sketchbook unfortunately it's a tad more expensive. £10. hey fray101, yea, should be ok. first come first serve basis. it would be £10 plus £10. so £20. as it's already considerably reduced compared to if u were to hire me for a commission at my normal rates, the con rates are a bargain!!! yep, hope so too! hey mate, thought u might be back. since a certain 'hero' is signing. see u over the weekend.
  2. thanks mate. yea, i've drawn people before. well, tried to anyways. i'm not that great a caricarture artist, but so far haven't had any complains. so, yes please, by all means. :) no mate, not at all. as i said, i would attend even if i did not get an invitation. i have fun there. no harm done. look forward to meeting u! :) so until the organisers say, 'no, andie, for the last time, u can no longer attend this con...' i'm afraid i'll be returning every year. or if it coincides with deadlines, then i have no choice. if i'm not busy on the drawing tables, i like cruising around the stalls to see what's on offer. i'm the ultimate fanboy first and foremost! :)
  3. hey thanks everyone for the warmest of welcomes. truly appreciate it. i look forward to all the new challenges u have in store for me. however i'm not doing a list this year. it will be 'draw while u wait scenario'. i just found it to be too stressful trying to make sure i finish everyone on the list before the con ends. i end up becoming unsocialble having my head down pencil on paper. cons i suppose to be fun!! hope that's cool. hey fry, sketches will be £10 for A4 and £25 for A3. i've unfortunaley scraped the £5 A4 head to chest sketch as it proved unpopular. :) looking fwd to this weekend.
  4. i know, i know, i'm not one of the top guns, but i draw ok, right? heh. to be fair to showmasters, i asked to come on to the show. i did not get invited. showmasters were just kind enough to put me on as a guest. i live in london and there's not a lot of conventions here compared to the US so i try to attend as many as i can here in good ol' london. i always have a ball coming to the cons, i like meeting all kinds of people who like comics and like the artform of comics. and it's also an opportunity to catch up with my fellow comic creators. furthermore i rarely get the chance to draw for people so that is what i do when i get there and i like doing that. so i'm afraid this won't be the last u see of me unfortunately. BWAHAHAHAH! (well, if the show will have me, of course) altho i am admittedly quite surprise that staz and john mccrea hasn't showed up this year. they said they had heaps of fun last year. maybe it's deadlines. :) so hopefully there'll be some last minute turnups.
  5. skylover, here's ur commission mate. i'll need u to email me again as i've misplaced ur mailing address. well, hope this thread finds u. cheers.
  6. wicked. really good to hear! yes, please bring the sketches next time. i will have a peruse. cool, looking fwd to seeing u in bloodrayne gear and by that time, u'll be doing somersaults and all kinds of kicks and punches, i bet? just don't knock me out. and it looks like u've got some fans looking forward to seeing u in october too! ok, a quick post to let those kind patient people who are waiting for sketches from me know that ur artwork is on the way. finally after my frantic deadlines, i'm able to find a window to do it. here are the sneak peek. also i need skylover to email me his address again please. hope all are happy with the finished results. BWAAH!
  7. oh yea, just a quick side note... to all those that i owe a sketch to due to catching transport, flights back, leaving early etc, ur artwork is on the way. i have got 2 major deadlines due in monday and i have been non stop since i got back from the con, but once that is out of the way, i'm onto those sketches. there are some i still require mailing addresses to, so don't forget to email me. ooh, i didn't realise he's doing wonderwoman now. i've been so out of it with comics lately ironically enough. i'll have to check that out. thanks heaps mate. haha. wicked mate. not a lot of people ask for wolverine mask off so i'm glad u did. whenever someone asks me for a wolverine piece, i always ask the question, 'mask on or mask off' and nine out of ten, it's mask on! so i'm glad i got to do logan this time. ahh, wicked, wicked. yes, u guys were my first sketches. i had to use the eraser on phoenix a few times before i was satisfied with her pose. it's hard to start the first sketch, but i hope i did good in the end. hey there miss adventurer tomb raider u. it was good to see u again. i was trying to get a snap of u the last time with the classic gear on but i couldn't get time out of the table. so i'm glad u turned up again this time. i'll be looking forward to that bloodrayne gear. do u have the the blades and everything? i reckon u'd make a wicked rayne. awesome. i'm glad u're gonna start drawing again, if it's what u love doing, u should never give that up. and there's no harm taking breaks, as i once took a 2 year break and just basically partied hard, but i came back drawing stronger then ever. ahh, but the smelly trains is also where u can find the most interesting characters to draw (if u get a seat that is, and it's not too wobbly a ride).
  8. hey everyone, just wanted to say, thanks heaps for making me feel welcome to my first LFCC. showmasters held a great event, and double thanks to all who paid me a visit, to chat, to sketch or just to look-see. i had a blast. i'm glad i was given an opportunity to draw for u guys and i hope i didn't dissappoint. i do apologise for those few that missed out due to a huge build up on my list on saturday and sunday. hopefully i'll get a chance to sketch for u next time. well, i hope that piece worked out for ye. we only had three to draw in the end. :) so, did i end up sketching for u? i did some spidey, i did one yoda and i did one wolvie. which one were u? well, i'm glad u kinda got ur gambit in the end. :) it'll be in safe hands until i see u next. well, no one requested a hellboy, so i'm assuming i didn't get a chance to meet u in the end? awww maaan, hope u weren't stalking me. lol. yea, had to get my reference fix. i love dodson's rendition of spiderman and especially of blackcat. i'm really glad u like the sketch mate! u'll be glad to know it's my first ever rendition of her, and u have it! WOOOO coolies! i'm glad i came across friendly. heh. u know, sometimes my mind thinks one thing and says another. thank god it didn't happen this time. heh. well, lucky for u guys, i love drawing. but yes, i had fun on that piece as i really didn't know what the hell i was doing. i'm glad nathan clicked on soon enough. ooooh, that would have been a great challenge. next time then! :)
  9. cool. i look forward to it. honestly the past conventions, i haven't taken a lunch break. i'm smart now tho, i buy lunch before i head into the convention so at least i have something to nibble on if i catch a slight break. :) but i might have to try extra hard for CL's appearance. no, adding props shouldn't be a problem. :) collaborating with other artist, no probs. but how so? what did u have in mind? CL is only at the show on Saturday. andie - If you want to get to see CL, talk to the guys/gals at the organisers booth when you get your dealers pass. oooh, thanks for the tip. i will do. i might start the dooku sketch now and if i have time, i'll do saruman too! YAY! :)
  10. yea, so am i. damnit. contemplating on doing tyranus or saruman sketches to get him to sign. but i'll probably be stuck at a table all 2 days. c u then. :)
  11. cool mate! lookin fwd to the challenge. i'll have my little forbidden planet catalogue with me. so most of references will be there hopefully. :) yea, def. well, i draw spiderman officially for spidey uk and i have dabbled with the dark knight in the past. :) no probs mate. the sketchbook is basically a 20 page collection of my sketches, some never seen before, some just favourites. here's the cover and double page spread for a sample... but feel free to preview before u buy. just come over to my table on the day, and i'll have my sketchbook for u to see first if u like.
  12. hey mate, if u don't mind, i've actually answered this already. all ur questions can be answered on page 3 of this thread, on post #57. hope that's cool... :) actually, screw that, here's another copy and paste without the pictures. :) read below... i've coloured the text that is relevant to u... no, i won't be charging for autographs... (unless of course u come to me with 300 books to sign) :) then i'll have to have some charge... heh... prices are as follows head to chest sketch is £5.00, but for £7.00 u get a free sketchbook. full body sketch is £10.00, but for £11.00 u get a free sketchbook sketchbook is £5.00, but for £7.00 u get a free head to chest sketch OR for £11.00 a full body sketch i won't be doing any £20 inked commissions unfortunately. i can sketch anything u want as long as i remember it. sci fi, heroes, fantasy, you, whatever. i have a vast collection of characters in my head but worse case scenario is if i don't remember it, just show me a reference or borrow it from a retailer next door, so if u read this before the con, don't forget to bring a reference of your favourite character. also i won't have any envelopes or plastic sleeves for the finished artwork, so be prepared and bring some! do come by to say hi tho if nothing else. :) i've got original artwork for sale (starting from a lowly low price of £1...say what??? yup, believe it), some limited comic books, and my port folio is free to view... and to buy if u're really, really interested. :) with multiple bodies, it'll unfortunately just be an add on cause as it is, convention sketches are waaay reduced from my normal commission prices. so for example, if u want 3 multiple bodies and u want a sketchbook, it will be £11 plus £10 plus £10. or if u want 3 multiple bodies plus 3 sketchbooks, it'll be £11 X 3. hope that's clear. but make sure u get to me at the start of the show. i start my sketch list early and i'm pretty booked out by 12pm. so if u miss me on saturday i'm always available on sunday. for example, if u come to me at 5pm to ask for 3 full body sketches, i might have to say no, cause i'll probably have a full lists to get thru before the show ends. in previous conventions, i've stopped accepting sketches at about 3pm, just to give u a rough idea. a sketch may take about 15 mins to finish. so 3 full bodies will roughly take 45 mins. this is of course i'm not stopping to chat and mingle with people at the table, etc. so please please account for all that. when u're sure, and u know what u want, make sure u come up, pay and tell me what u want me to sketch for u. that way u're guaranteed as i put u on my sketch list. if u're getting a sketchbook as well, make sure u pick it up when u pay. then u'll have to come back and pick up just the artwork once i've finished. if i haven't got any sketches to do when u come up to ask, then u're welcome to wait as i sketch. otherwise, and is the most likely case, i'll give u a rough estimate of when u can come back to pick up the sketch.
  13. well, if u don't have ur own sketchbook or paper, i can provide A4 paper. i've drawn on sketch card size before, but u'll have to provide ur own sketchcard size paper unfortunately. :) ooooh, wicked. lookin forward to what u will have me drawing. it's a challenge everytime. :) hehe. thanks mate. :) i hope so too. it'll save me from walking around the show and spending money.... :) heh. thanks.
  14. ok, dude, sorry for the delay.... here's some recent stuff.... and here's some stuff i really shouldn't be showing, cause they're really really old, but u asked so.... :) u might have seen some of them at jedinet already... :)
  15. no probs with the questions, mate. :) yep, just ask the artist.... i've actually got info on that on the 10th post of this thread. just head to page 1, but here's a copy and paste of the post below. -- hey everyone, i've just been pointed out that i've been announced so i'll try and clarify some prices, etc.... no, i won't be charging for autographs... :) look out for this sign below. depending on the set up of the show, it'll either be hanging on a backboard behind me or infront of the table i'll be sitting. thanks guys. hope to see u there! with multiple bodies, it'll unfortunately just be an add on cause as it is, convention sketches are waaay reduced from my normal commission prices. so for example, if u want 3 multiple bodies and u want a sketchbook, it will be £11 plus £10 plus £10. or if u want 3 multiple bodies plus 3 sketchbooks, it'll be £11 X 3. hope that's clear. but make sure u get to me at the start of the show. i start my sketch list early and i'm pretty booked out by 12pm. so if u miss me on saturday i'm always available on sunday. for example, if u come to me at 5pm to ask for 3 full body sketches, i might have to say no, cause i'll probably have a full lists to get thru before the show ends. in previous conventions, i've stopped accepting sketches at about 3pm, just to give u a rough idea. a sketch may take about 15 mins to finish. so 3 full bodies will roughly take 45 mins. this is of course i'm not stopping to chat and mingle with people at the table, etc. so please please account for all that. when u're sure, and u know what u want, make sure u come up, pay and tell me what u want me to sketch for u. that way u're guaranteed as i put u on my sketch list. if u're getting a sketchbook as well, make sure u pick it up when u pay. then u'll have to come back and pick up just the artwork once i've finished. if i haven't got any sketches to do when u come up to ask, then u're welcome to wait as i sketch. otherwise, and is the most likely case, i'll give u a rough estimate of when u can come back to pick up the sketch. -- that's the juice of it. it might look a lengthy and convoluted process but it's not really. just come up and talk to whichever artist, and we'll introduce u to the pricing on the day too.
