With his return this Monday on Raw, I so hope he doesn't as he would undo the ground made up in recent months as the product has shown a fair bit of improvement. When he won it before it fitted into the storylines, but now it wouldn't. With the fact that TNA President Dixie Carter confirmed to the Daily Satr website that Christian Cage has indeed jumped ship back to the WWE - a tad childish in my opinion seeing as there are many rumours going around that Christian will be the mystery attacker of Jeff Hardy - it seems that Jeff may indeed win the Rumble.

David is spot on with the comment about having a headliner each year of the Hall Of Fame. This year was planned to be either Stone Cold or The Hitman as the Headliner, and with it being in Texas it was obvious to go with Steve Austin. Austin has indicated that he would love Ric Flair to induct him, but relations between Flair and the WWE are a tad cold at the moment. You have more chance of Tatanka getting inducted than Savage or the Warrior. McMahon has personally scuppered any Best Of dvds of both in recent years, so don't hold your breath. When HBK goes in, it will be as a single induction and without Janetty. At the end of the day, HBK eclipsed Janetty and the whole point of the WWE Hall Of Fame is for it to be on the exclusive side. Yokozuna will probably never enter the HoF as he was a short stayer in the WWE and did very little else due to his passing at a young age. Hacksaw Jim Duggan will more than likely go in at some point as he remains a good servant to Vince. The Von Erichs are a grey area, and more so at the current time due to how so many of them died. Once the scandals go away including steroids, Benoit etc, then maybe they will go in. The Rock and Vince on not on the best of terms at the moment as Dwayne has dropped the name of The Rock since hitting it reasonably big in Hollyweird. It went from The Rock, to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to Dwayne Johnson. It will be a few more years yet until he pulls up to the HoF. Stu Hart will more than likely kick in when Bret does. They may do it in a similar way to Rocky Johnson and High Chief Peter Maivia. Former WCW employee Cowboy Bill Watts has issued a statement saying that he has been invited into the HoF, but this seems an odd thing to do prior to it's official announcement. It wouldn't surprise me if this didn't happen. As regards who else, it all depends on Vince's mood and who hasn't annoyed him. I can't see an active wrestler going in as they used thata s a gimmick when the Nature Boy went in. Hmmm..off to wrack brains of who may go in..... Hold on, as regards Tommy Dreamer..give it until at least next year as they are running a potential retirement angle with him at the moment that should come to a head in June.

With the current storylines in place, don't expect any major surprises at the Royal Rumble. It would be highly unlikely for a midcard wrestler to win the Rumble unless they aim to push him big time. Morrison is currently a Tag Team Champion and being primed for a full time move to Raw post WrestleMania with a more than likely victory in the Money In The Bank match. Shelton Benjamin has still to prove he is main event material as he hasn't had a decent feud since becoming US Champion. One strongly rumoured result is that Jeff Hardy drops the title to Edge and comes back in the Rumble and wins it. He will then give up his title shot to face Christian Cage at WrestleMania who is strongly rumoured to be revealed as the person who attacked him pre Survivor Series and then run him off the road on January 9th. However, this is subject to Christian having signed a contract with the WWE. Aside from that, don't expect HBK to win it as he is in JBL's corner for WrestleMania andmay not be in the Rumble itself. HBK is on a reduced programme with no plans for retiring in the next few years at present. Both he and the Undertaker were rumoured to be retiring this year, but both have put those plans on the back burner following meetings with Vince McMahon. Both have gone public saying they were carrying on competing. If I had a choice I would go with Jeff winning it as I am hoping Christian Cage returns.

Cancelled .. or 'naturally ending' or whatever ..
Snow Drop 6:15 replied to DavidB's topic in Prison Break
I think that Prison Break has been great entertainment and I have enjoyed it all the way through, even when others said some parts were not good - especially Seasons 2 and 3. I think that Season 4 has begun to bring it to a natural ending and I am now very intrigued as to how they will end it all. -
I know you Jacob fans were stressing a little, but if you step back and see it how it has happened and it is nothing new in Hollyweird or any other film making country/area. The person at the helm changed for whatever reason people choose to accept. The lead actor and actress were announced straight away when the next film was given the green light as they are the story. Rumours start that someone else may be cast as Jacob Black - how many times has such a rumour started with other films...loads. And the biggest fault here is with the media who stirred the pot...something that has happened many times before and will again. Director has a lunch meeting with the actor portraying Jacob in the first film. Official announcement is made that the same actor will reprise the character of Jacob Black in the second film. All of the fans fretting are now happy. It isn't nice when rumours start and an actor or actress is rumoured to be being replaced for a future film; but this is nothing new and will happen again. Maybe now the fine young actor himself can get down to some serious line rehearsing for the next film without some media hack bugging him over a rumour. I must admit that I went into Twilight with an open, yet uncertain mind. The first 10 to 15 minutes of the film didn't help as it seemed a little bitty to me. However, the next 105 minutes were superb. I am now a convert and will soon be starting the novels. When is the new movie scheduled for release?

I can remember when both Ecclestone and Tennant were first announced and they got mixed reactions in the same way Matt Smith has on here; yet they became firm favourites when the show started. I am glad that they didn't put in a "household" name, and was looking forward to Paterson Joseph being a potential Doctor. But Matt Smith has thatlook about him that could continue with the modern Who Universe started by CE and thumped home by DT.
-
Apparently, the bookies favourite is Paterson Joseph who is in Survivors at the moment. As regards when he oe she was officially signed to be the 11th Doctor, there has been tak of a new Doctor for some time and more so since RTD announced he was going. I hope it isn't a major name , but rather someone who is known but not in a big way. I must say that both Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant were known to me for the odd thing rather than one major character they ahd played etc. From a brief clip of DT commenting on the new Doctor, he seems very excited at who will be taking over from him.

In a brilliant film mirroring alot of 1980's wrestlers who have fallen on hard times, this is a compelling drama charting the life of an 80's wrestling icon who has fallen upon hard times, wrestles in small high school gymnasiums and works in a local deli. Those long time or big grappling fans will know of how this has been in the news in recent years as the WWE owner Vince McMahon has offered former employees of the WWE/WWF who have addiction problems etc free rehab following a number of high profile passings of people like The British Bulldog and Eddie Guerrero, and the double murder/suicide of Chris Benoit. It has also been brought up in the current Main Event Mafia/Frontline feud in TNA, and the HBK/JBL storyline in the WWE. Mickey Rourke was not first choice for this role, but it seems his eventual casting may have been the making of this film. Tipped for major nominations and potential awards, this film pulls no punches and delves into the deep and seedy side of High School Gymnasium events where wrestlers wrestle in order to afford to live and eat. Sources within the WWE, and close to the Director of the film, have suggested that Vince McMahon was not best pleased that the film "broke the myth" of wrestling - despite the fact the "myth" was blown away years ago. It is alleged that Vince offered some harsh words to the Director about this aspect of the film, but is not quoted as saying the film wasn't any good. Having seen this at a private viewing earlier on this week, I would recommend this film to anyone who likes a good drama. It should appeal to fans of Mickey Rourke and of wrestling who know the backstage stuff as much as what we see on television. It is due for cinematic release on January 16th.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but ...
Snow Drop 6:15 replied to xxcharlicxx's topic in The Hub 2
If you want what you consider to be "important" topics towards the top, then just bump them up. With full weekend conventions it is nice to get some exchange of views, ideas for downtime etc etc...even more so if you are new to conventions and going alone. -
Reports are coming out of WWE Headquarters that WWE Head Honcho Vince McMahon pulled the trigger on starting Jeff Hardy's first reign as WWE/World Champion....despite daughter Stephanie doing her best to stop it. She used the now age old line of...Jeff is unreliable etc etc...something used for some time now. But Vince saw it differently acknowledging how Jeff had improved his attitude and was willing to address personal issues on live TV - recorded if on Smackdown - including the fire at his home and death of his dog as a result. Vince is also claimed to have said that having a Champion fired for a third Wellness Programme strike would send the ultimate message to the locker room.

What did you think of this years Doctor Who special?
Snow Drop 6:15 replied to mrsclairecarter's topic in Dr Who
It was nice to have something a little different from the norm. I worked out pretty early on who The Next Doctor really was, but they strung it out nicely adding little bits here and there. I loved the bit where the real Doctor thought he was a future regeneration. A nice special that had the "some even break my heart" line that made me go "awwwww". This may even be part of the upcoming specials as he is meant to have a different companion for each one. No hints for the next special or specials, apart from the name at the end. Let's hope DT is fit and well to start filming in the new year. -
Is it Christmas? That one crept up on me...anyone know where I can get some last minute presents? That explains the weird phone call from family saying they will be around in an hour....D'oh!

Very true about standard practice, and the usual advertising standards is nothing new as well. Hence why alot of people just saw 50% off. Sad, yet very true.

Just found this on the BBC Website regarding Zavvi... Zavvi In Administartion At least they will keep trading. It is amazing what one business going under can do to others.
