  1. M Gold and silver tickets sold out at 7.2. I think it was a much smaller event though.
  2. Thank you so much ME/Showmasters for an absolutely incredible weekend ! All the guests were fantastic, especially the lovely Amanda and the hysterical Peter. I don't know when I've laughed so much . Thanks to the crew for being so friendly, helpful and patient with this sometime pain in the ***. You all (except for one who practically had me in tears) are greatly appreciated. Yeah, I didn't get up at god-awful-o'clock to get in the first 20 seats for Shanks to be sat back behind where that damn mic stand is!!!...I hope that things will be greatly improved by November then.... Deeds xx Good luck getting in the first couple of rows. Seating has always been my one complaint with these conventions. After 6 Chevrons, 5 as Gold, I've given up getting a great seat. Had Gold 5 & 6 (which I know will never happen again), entered the hall as soon as our group was called and we still sat in the 3rd row. We had terrific seats to be sure but I had thought we would have been in the 1st row with such low numbers. We have mid-twenties for 7.9 and I'm already assuming we'll end up in the 4th row if we're lucky.
  3. Can't believe I'm sitting here dreading getting on the plane tomorrow. My son can't come - two gold tickets for nothing Little interest in the guests - forget main cast members, there was not one recurring character (not guest star) in all of SG1, SGA or SGU available? Transferred to another hotel without my knowledge - being a 'mature' woman on my own, i do not want to be walking back and forth in the dark. Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing and being with friends. Yes, I think ME are fantastic, put on great events and are blameless when it comes to cancellations. I just have no enthusiasm for the weekend at all.
  4. I am so fed up that I could just cry. Transferred out of the hotel because they said I went through ME. Gave a credit card number as a guarantee but not good enough obviously. If I had any idea that mentioning ME while making my reservation meant it wasn't guaranteed, I would have prepaid the entire weekend upfront. As far as guest cancellations, they are absolutely not the con organizers fault. Appreciate all their hard work and how difficult it must be to find replacements. However 4 guests that appeared in only a handful of episodes and two of them being repeats, is not fair. I do not expect a headliner nor even a 'secondary' but at least one person that has been in more than a few episodes. At this point I'm expecting my flight to be cancelled and/or my luggage to be lost. These things happen in threes so I've heard
  5. This weekend has just gone from bad to worse. Been transferred to the ibis because they didn't charge a deposit to my credit card. Gave a credit card number to guarantee the room but they've just told me they didn't because of the massive events website, whatever that means. This is just a disaster and I'm now dreading the weekend wondering what else is going to happen. Spent a fortune (totally my choice) for airfare, gold tickets, etc. to stay in a hotel I don't want and see guests I have no interest in
  6. Well my gold days are over . Don't blame ME for the cancellations, must be a nightmare for them especially including the TW and HW cancellations, and appreciate all their hard work. Don't expect JF, MS or CB since they could probably sell out an event on their own. However, in my opinion, this line-up does not meet what we expected. I absolutely want to support ME, their events are fantastic and their crew is terrific, but it will not be gold. Between this and my personal issues with the way they seat the main hall, It just doesn't make sense. That being said, still looking forward to a fun weekend

  8. It's unlikely to happen this weekend as ME are at Hallowhedon. Since we have at least a weekend to wait, anyone want to pass the time by guessing who the guests will be ?

  10. Very disappointing news. . No doubt ME will find terrific replacements and hopefully Ben will attend another Chevron event soon. A personal request for a replacement is David Blue - missed him at 7.3 at heard he was a fantastic guest

  13. I have a gazillion emails to get through so you'll be in there somewhere. If I get the info I need before I run the totals and email the numbers to Mark, your order will still be dealt with on the same day and you won't miss out You can stop crying because if you've sent the correct email to the correct address (in my signature) then your order will be fine. I promise! I send those emails out as I come across them so there's a chance that person can still be processed same-day. I came home from Disneyland to find sooooo many orders. I made payments top priority and emails second so some people may get an email asking for further information when they've already sent one, which can be annoying, but ultimately saves time for me in the long run. When I get through the orders (some of which are still not done because so many people forgot to include vital info) I'll go through the emails to fill in any gaps. I'm giving away secrets now Usually, I'll then put the orders back in chronological order and complete the day's additions to my registration list as 'first come first served' whether or not they made an error in their order (so it's worth replying immediately to any of my emails or sending me an email as soon as you realise you've made an error!). The only exceptions to that are when people have been rude or particularly unpleasant, anyone who knows me will tell you I have a pretty thick skin so if you've managed to do something to make me swear on Facebook you can be certain you won't get your place in the queue back again (That's the proverbial "you" in the second paragraph by the way, Lisinit. Not you directly) I've had a couple of glasses of wine so I'm calmer now . Kind of you to reply. What happens, happens. It was my screw-up. My son will get his photo with AT no matter where we're sitting so he'll be happy. Still not telling him though - most days he thinks I'm old and not quite there and this fiasco will only reinforce that opinion
  14. Just got an email from Yvie that she can't process my order. I can't believe I'm sitting here crying because of stupid tickets. Emailed the names, etc. immediately after realizing my mistake but didn't help. Got my order in at 6:07 on Wed and now, because I'm an idiot, who knows where we'll end up. Absolutely, positively not telling my son about this.

Yes, just e-mail info@collectormania.com with your order number and add the names and the note. It will be okay, don't worry. Not the first time this happened, done this myself too. Yvie will get back to you as soon as possible - but please don't worry if she doesn't reply to you right away. As she posted in the announcement topic for this event she's in Disneyland Paris at the moment. Thanks QS . I'll email right away. I'll be honest, I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one that forgot (looking at you Fi )
